Easy Projects - Honest Review

Comentários: Easy Projects has really helped our business quote projects and collect data on our previous projects. This made it possible to make comparisons and drill into our data to determine where our weaknesses were. We we're able to identify key areas, and improve them, creating shorter lead times, and increasing the efficiency of our resources.

Vantagens:

I like the structure Easy Projects provides. It's nice to have a software that is pre-built and ready right out of the box to collect your data and analyze it with reports. Instead of using software that you have to build your own reports, charts, and metrics. Easy Projects makes it simple to budget resources, time, and capital. Easy Projects also integrates with Zapier, which helped us automate most of our time entry needs.

Desvantagens:

Some times the structure was too ridged. The financial tab isn't built for non-profit, and the learning curve for using the software was fairly steep.

Complete, well-thought-out, user-friendly solution with amazing customer service to boot

Vantagens:

There is a lot to list here. When we went hunting around for new PM software, we had a long list of needs & wants. Every competitor we reviewed fell way short. Not only did Easy Projects meet all of our needs, they are constantly innovating & improving upon the platform, making it better as you go. But on top of it all, they listed, and I mean I listened to and took lots of time with us to understand our needs and come up with the best approaches to tweak our instance to meet or exceed them. We're still in the implementation stages, but I'm impressed with how much work, attention to detail, and care they have put in all along the way, and I have no doubt the end product is going to be absolutely stellar. Their patience with our ever-evolving needs alone should be commended!

Desvantagens:

Wish we could tweak some native fields, but that's nit-picky stuff. Overall we're happy with everything, but again we're still in the setup & transitoin phases.

Birdview: Good not Great

Vantagens:

It's pretty straightforward and locked down which can be good or bad based on your prerogative.

Desvantagens:

It's not very customizable and it's definitely a better tool for other departments than ours (media)

Why to chose birdview

Comentários: Not great, but not bad as well, overall it's a good tool with all the essentials, could have a better visual design but that also might depend on how the company sets it up and uses it

It's easy to find your task and project, it's a simple visual tool and easy to understand

Desvantagens:

could use somekind of task time tracking, it would be helpful to have something like a stopwatch assign to a task or something

An easy, intuitive way of managing time and the team

Vantagens:

At our agency, we have many active projects and tasks under each project at any given time, and manage roughly 30 creatives assigned to those projects. Being able to easily bill and track time is super valuable, and the clean, simple interface makes that easier for everyone from the junior designer to the creative director.

Desvantagens:

Many on our creative team only use it to track time and find projects, and some views have so many options to click or select, it can be hard to find the most common uses for our team.

Better Than Competitors Used

Vantagens:

I enjoy the user interface for time trackingPulling critical reports is easier than other competitorsIntegration with other products like NetSuite allow for easier flow of project setup.

Desvantagens:

Pulling the right report across different projects can be difficult without proper training and guidance.

Can't imagine work without it!

Vantagens:

At my organization, we often work on multiple projects simultaneously. Birdview makes it very easy to track progress across projects, view tasks for the day/week across all projects in one place, and easily navigate between projects using filters.

Desvantagens:

I haven't gotten much use out of the task progress or financial tracking features, I hope to in the next 6 months. Would love to see a timer feature like Toggl Track for this.

Extensive functionality but a little hard to navigate

Vantagens:

I like that the project timers can be accessed from multiple places, and that I can easily add notes about the time I'm tracking.

Desvantagens:

I have had a hard time finding my assigned tasks, because at my company, many tasks are mass-assigned to allow access. It would be great if access and specific assignments were able to be defined separately in workflows. It was also a very steep learning curve to figure out the exact process for setting timers for a task and where my notes for each timer lived.

Vantagens:

Helps me to keep track of all of my projects and can store attached files.

Desvantagens:

does not track in real-time. It does not help me when looking at the timeline of my projects.

Good product for project management

Vantagens:

I have been using Birdview for some time now, and I am impressed with the new platform updates. I was not originally a fan, but now I am an advocate. Although there are some things that I still think could be changed, it is a great improvement. One of the most helpful aspects of the new Birdview is its more user-friendly interface, which makes it easier to navigate and use, specifically the time feature. I love the way I can access the timer for any task from any place. I also appreciated the variety of features available, such as the ability to track progress, set goals, and collaborate with team members. Additionally, the customizable dashboards provided a clear overview of key metrics, which was incredibly helpful. Overall, I found Birdview to be a valuable tool for staying organized and on top of my tasks.

Desvantagens:

Birdview lacks some of the advanced features found in other task management tools. For example, it doesn't have a built-in calendar view, which would make it much easier to see an overview of tasks and deadlines. Also, the collaboration features are quite limited, making it less ideal for team-based projects. Furthermore, while more user-friendly, the interface might only seem that way because it is less difficult than before. I believe a new customer would still find some level of difficulty setting up a project compared to other project management software. While Birdview is excellent for managing individual tasks, it may not be the best choice for more complex project management or collaborative work, depending on the need.

The customer support team provided assistance whenever needed. The availability of extensive customizations allows us to tailor the tool to meet our organization's unique requirements.Collaboration is effortless, with easy task editing and assignment across teams and projects. The integration with MS Teams and Jira enhances our workflow and communication.The time tracking and estimation feature within projects is highly valuable.

It would be great to have integration with some add apps

Great Project Managment tool

Comentários: I quite like the ease-of-use when it comes to daily time tracking and project planning.

Vantagens:

I really like the the ability to access specific projects and tasks from multiple areas within the site. Tracking labour and progress from tasks up to project milestones is very easy to do.

Desvantagens:

I wish I could save specific reporting functions.

Great! Easy to use, reliable & tracks all projects, activities & manages my available resources.

Vantagens:

We are an in-house CPG creative department of four. Easy Projects houses all of our creative projects/activities. The Creative team can see every project and its status at anytime. It also generates a resource report so see when my designers are over or under allocated I can make the necessary adjustments within the schedule to ensure the workload is at manageable level and adjusting schedules is easy and right at your fingertips. Easy projects holds all projects notes, so you don't have to go digging through emails. The upgrades to the system have been ongoing and great improvements but at a great price! The system is versatile and flexible to meet anyone's needs.

Desvantagens:

It is difficult to get the entire organization access to view all projects and status and our workload. They don't need full access but viewable access to activity center without paying for a full license per user.

I use Easy Projects for my job, and it has been so easy to use!

Vantagens:

I like that every person on the team can communicate directly within the program, eliminating the need for long email chains. My favorite feature used to be the layout of the My Assignments page before it became more of a to-do list. I liked being able to see what other people had commented and what other members were on a project with me. I also like that you can customize views in the Activity Center. It makes checking workload across a team very easy! I will also say that I think it's neat that you offer webinars to go over new features. I haven't been able to watch any of them, but one day I hope to catch up and see all the features I'm missing out on! lol

Desvantagens:

I really miss the old My Assignments view :( Other than that, I'd say that it's the perfect project management software!

Competent and simple

Vantagens:

Simplicity. Moved from two separate systems designed for specific workflows, to something that only shows the basics by default, and easily allows access to the more detail oriented features via simple navigation.

Desvantagens:

Sometimes it's not entirely clear why a project is not visible to you as an end user. That's really on the project leader and administration's head though.

Easy to Use

Vantagens:

Birdview is easy to use and I like the structure it provides. It's very nice to be able to leave comments for other employees direclty within tasks and keep track of everything in one place without the need for external communication in many situations.

Desvantagens:

Navigating between different tasks and projects can sometimes be confusing. It takes time to customize and set up the view in the way that works best for you.

Lots of Possibilities

Comentários: Our company adopted Easy Projects mainly to assist in managing / allocating our time as well as providing more visibility between departments on the status of orders. While I am not in management, and can't speak to the first goal, the visibility has gone well as we can see and receive notifications as orders are updated and worked on.

Vantagens:

I do like the ease with which you can create / customize fields for what you need. The Audit Trail feature (which tracks all the changes made to a project) is also extremely helpful for seeing what's going on. I also like the prompt notifications of changes/comments in the system, even though I currently do not use the mobile app.

Desvantagens:

Sometimes lots of possibilities also means it can be overwhelming trying to get a quick view/snapshot of what we have in the system. While there are several dashboard options and view options none really make sense for me. I'm old school, and have just used calendar-based or Excel-based programs mostly, or Outlook tasklists; the views in Easy Projects are sometimes too complicated or detailed and I have difficulty understanding them.

Great Project Management Tool

Vantagens:

As a program and project manager, reporting is critical to my job because I do report to senior-level executives. Therefore, the reporting capabilities are great and I need very little modification to present all the critical metrics, especially budgets, that they are looking at to show project health.

Desvantagens:

Because I'm responsible for program integrations, I find it more challenging with this tool to pull all the projects together for efficient reporting. I do have to put in more effort with this tool to confirm all the data is accounted for in the reports for multi-initiative reporting.

Comentários: Overall I like it and enjoy using it. The main issue I have is that there's no way to keep notifications as "unread" if I want to come back to them later. Also, I would like to be able to have a filter for all unread messages related to my projects. Those would be some nice add ons.

Vantagens:

I like the project layout and easy gantt view. The way we log hours is nice. I like being able to assign tasks with minimal effort. Makes my job easier.

Desvantagens:

Same as above. The main issue I have is that there's no way to keep notifications as "unread" if I want to come back to them later. If I try to export comments or a report from a certain date period I can't filter it. That would be nice. I came back from vacation and tried to get caught up on my tasks so I filtered my notifications and exported them, but it didn't help because I couldn't filter them or arrange them differently.

Easy Projects has been an easy and versatile project management tool for us

Vantagens:

Easy Projects has been living up to its name for our administrators and users. It has a simple and versatile functionality that can fit just about any of our needs. Once we identified how the product would work best for us and customized it, we were very pleased with how well we moved forward. We improved our workflow with templates, we found creative uses for existing functionality to problem solve trouble areas, and the company continues to progress with new features and product improvements. The Easy Projects team has been crucial in helping us make this product fit our needs and they have always been available with thoughtful and creative solutions. We always appreciate their responsiveness and positivity.

Desvantagens:

An initial time investment and a lot of communication with Easy Projects was required in order to mold it into the right product for our team. But, it was well worth it!

Easy to use and keep track of my time

Vantagens:

I like that I can easily keep track of my time by tasks throughout the week. Since I use Birdview weekly to track my time, it makes it easy to also keep track of how many hours i'm dedicating to each project. It's easy to use in general.

Desvantagens:

There's nothing I'd say I dislike about Birdview, I've yet to run into any issues in my time using it.
