Hero K12 has been amazing since we've rolled it out at LMS. Teachers, students and parents love it.

Comentários: Positive school behavior is catching on and students are doing better.

Vantagens:

I enjoy the positive behavior reporting. Students are now able to find rewards for their hardwork. Additionally, staff can use the software to review their students behavior.

Desvantagens:

I wish we were about to track incidents more efficiently. I also do not like what the handheld offer.... the use of your smartphone is more practical.

We have gained momentun in shifting the culture at our campus and building a positive community.

Comentários: We have increased the engagment in the classroom and are reducing the negative actions. Students are getting used to the positive expectations. We are facilitating more rather than responsing to negative behavior.

Vantagens:

We like the fact that it is web based and we can access it from anywhere. As as administrator, it is a great way to interact with students and give them points at the same time. At lunch, they see us taking our phones out and they know we are issuing points! They sure have their ID ready to scan! Teachers love it because they can now recognize students for displaying positive behavior in the classroom. It is starting to encourage students that would not likely participate be an active member of the classroom. It is easy enough to use that, teachers that are hesitant to use this new technology, are adapting positively. The equipment is simple to use also. Students love the incentives, teachers like being recognized for using it (ie. lunch on the principal), and parents are stating that their child talk about HERO K-12 at home. This year we are opening our VIP Lounge. Our campus is only going to get better. Overall it is fantastic!!! HERO Review

Vantagens:

HERO is allows our school to track tardies and positive behaviors. The students are parents are able to create a log in to track the students' behaviors.

Desvantagens:

HERO does not allow teachers to take attendance or track grades. This is another system for teachers to use to keep track of information. It is an overpriced system that could be reduced to handing out cheap tickets in the hallways.

An unbelievable change in tardies and school atmosphere in the minutes after the tardy bell.

Vantagens:

global tracking of positive and negative behaviors. being able to have students "spend" their points for rewards at the hero store. being able to use an app to scan student ID's (apple and android).

Desvantagens:

I guess the biggest downfall really is the lag time I sometimes get when trying to record points for my students. Also, it seems like it takes just one click too many to record the points.

Hero

Vantagens:

I like that I can track so many behaviors (both positive and negative-tardy). I also like that when I track the behavior of a student, I can see what behavioral step they are on. The student search function is also handy. It's nice to be able to find students throughout the entire school.

Desvantagens:

It takes you through a lot of steps to mark a behavior.

As a Teacher

Comentários: Students are wearing school gear, coming to class on time, just doing the right thing to get points and it makes others want them too.

Vantagens:

The program is very easy to use. I am liking the new features to give students multiple points that they are doing in the class.

Desvantagens:

Not being able to create my own class for enrichment class I have look up each student to give them points.

Hero

Vantagens:

it allows teachers to reward and challenge students to improve their behavior

Desvantagens:

no complaints yet, i haven't had any issues that have been a problem

A great program to motivate students.

Comentários: Hero has helped with reducing tardies.

Vantagens:

It is easy to use and very easy to track student behaviors.

Desvantagens:

Sometimes it lags when i try to enter points.

Vantagens:

The ease of having students receive positive reinforcement and seeing their pride when they do. I also like how they can find their scores quickly,

Desvantagens:

Trying to fill out an incident report. The form is too challenging and confusing. Also it is hard to find certain aspects of the program

HERO is a HERO

Vantagens:

I like the HERO software because it is user friendly. There is a lot of support options and the customer service is excellent!

Desvantagens:

I wish there was a quicker to assign points to a group of students.

My Hero

Vantagens:

I like that I can track student behavior in a positive way. I like that students are motivated to do well, so they work really hard at it. I like that we can also track troublesome behaviors discreetly and that the administration received the alerts to manage negative student behaviors, without requiring communication from me.

Desvantagens:

I think the program is difficult to manage outside of the classroom, unless you have a scanner. The program also is not as user friendly as it could be, which interferes with my teaching, as it takes a lot of time to perform the log entries for a large class.

Early Bird points

Comentários: I really like it. The students want to have avatars though instead of ID pictures.

Vantagens:

The early bird points are easy to give for students that arrive on time for class. I have seen students arrive promptly to get points. Rewarding punctuality often deters tardiness.

Desvantagens:

I really wish the app scanning feature didn't stick and I could easily scan students at the door upon entry.

Hero is a great management system. With Hero, our students are more actively engaged in behavior.

Vantagens:

Hero is very user friendly for staff, students, and parents. The system allows staff to track student behavior and look for trends. Staff can also use Hero for positive reinforcement. Students are able to stay engaged with their positive and negative behaviors. They can use their points for fun incentives. Parents have an opportunity to see how their children are doing in real time. Hero Support is excellent.

Desvantagens:

Hero has a few minor limitations on the administrative side. Some of the reports are lacking a filter that my admin would like. The functionality of the Event system is not great.

Hero

Comentários: The students are more prone to wear their IDs and get to class on time in order to earn points. It definitely increases positive behavior.

Vantagens:

It is very easy to use and it motivates the students to "get caught doing something good"

Desvantagens:

There is nothing I don't like. I love it all.

Hero is easy to use and students respond to the positive reinforcement.

Comentários: There are many benefits to this application. If I had to select only a couple it would be the ease of use and the positive impact it has on students.

Vantagens:

When it comes to the software, I like the ease of use. Students also able to view their progress and central detentions.

Desvantagens:

There really isn't anything I do not like about the software. If I could modify anything it would be the ability to retract a central if I accidentally gave one.

Easy to learn, Useful product

Vantagens:

Automatic data collection between all teachers and subjects over specific events (both good and bad)

Desvantagens:

Limited functionality- adding notes/explanation, limited reports generation, limited control over consequences, etc

Heroic with Hero

Vantagens:

I enjoy being able to positively reward students for their great behavior!

Desvantagens:

While it is easy to use, it is an extra step to log things in addition to what my school already provides.

Good Program

Vantagens:

I like the ease of using it. It makes it easier to give students positive reinforcement

Desvantagens:

Not being able to do incidents on it or how it doesn't connect to PowerSchool

Hero is really allowing our school to change its culture for the better.

Vantagens:

I like that it is simple and easy to use. It is easy to train our teacher staff how to use and implement it in their classrooms.

Desvantagens:

I don't like that I can't assign multiple points to a student at a time. We have several teachers that either forget to assign daily points or that would rather wait until the end of the week to assign points. If they do this, they have to lick on the students multiple, multiple times instead of being able to assign multiple behaviors at a time.

HERO is used as positive reinforcment.

Vantagens:

Students are motivated to do the right thing. Students will come on time to class, behave, and help others.

Desvantagens:

Sometimes the system has glitches. It wont update with our system, so some students who have left are still on the roster and new students haven't been added yet.

So Useful

Vantagens:

This serves as a great way to reward students.

Desvantagens:

I wish there were less steps to enter the points.

Easy and effective

Vantagens:

The impact on the students, and how easy it is to incorporate it into your own daily routine. I also enjoy all the reports you can run.

Desvantagens:

Not able to do multiple points at once, and not being able to search for multiple students at a time.

Hero is great to use!

Comentários: Hero has been wonderful. It has helped change the culture of our school.

Vantagens:

I like how Hero integrates a point system to promote positive behaviors. Their fast track addition was great!

Desvantagens:

I had some functionality issues on an iPad

We use HERO at school to track positive behaviors and it works great!

Vantagens:

I like that it is easy to use and it is customized to work with your own school needs. For example we have certain behaviors we are looking for as a school and we can input those into the program for data purposes.

Desvantagens:

There are times that the website doesn't work, so I have to write points down and enter them later on days where this happens.

This is a great program.

Vantagens:

The software is great the class pages are easy to navigate and they are a great size. The layout is simple, anyone can use it.

Desvantagens:

I wish it would allow you to assign multiple points at once or it could connect to aeries for attendance points. The software is easy to use it can just be time consuming when assigning points for 6 classes.
