Pricing is very straight forward - per doctor fee rather than per user or per client. High uptime availability, monthly updates, great tech support available via the app to all users.
Lots of clicks to do something, inability to time stamp, refills pull from price originally put in ( so if it has increased, you lose that money, no way to lock medical records, not super-intuitive.

Great value, still needs improvements
Comentários: Overall, it's good. I've used eVet/Pulse since 2014 between 2 practices. I'm used to it, I think it's a good product. I just know it could be better.
Vantagens:
It's fairly easy to learn and is user freindly
Desvantagens:
LOTS of clicking to get to the right page. Also, all of the "enhancements" that they do are not usually actually productive or things that I've seen anyone ask for- making the border of the EMR pink or blue to indicate gender.....there are plenty of other requests that are more important than that.

One of the Better Choices for a PIMS
Comentários: Overall it is a decent PIMS with some issues as most software have. A few critical issues are not being addressed. While tech support is wonderful, whomever is leaded the requirements build and release effort does NOT appear to be knowledgeable in vetmed and is therefore missing some key BUG fixes and easy enhancements that could allow Pulse to remain as a top competitor in the PIMS selection. There are many other competitors now and Covetrus does not have a good overall opinion in the field.
Vantagens:
User friendly and intuitive as compared to others considered. Excellent tech support who have vetmed background and understand the issue/question.
Desvantagens:
Was not told only an outdated, unavailable Dymo printer was required or offered to purchase one until I made a frantic call prior to opening. Also requires a print server we were not informed of. Without a label writer handwritten labels for every medication would be required. This is a CRITICAL requirement that STILL has not been fixed. Many knowledge based articles are not current requiring a phone call to tech support. Handling of bug fixes in releases is not done efficiently.
Not Satisfied
Comentários: Have not liked the software since Covetrus purchased it from evetpractice. Evetpractice was more concerned about its customers and Covetrus is more concerns about money!
Vantagens:
The only thing I did like, when Covetrus took over from evetpractice, is that the system colored male patients blue and female patients pink on their medical records. I can’t think of anything else Covetrus has done right though.
Desvantagens:
I dislike the updates. Your software is more engineered for lap top or desk top computers and 95% of my work on done on an iPad. Each update you do makes more work for me to run my business. You do not keep in mind that not all your customers use a lap top or desk computer to run their business. Also, I do not appreciate the price increases since Covetrus bought the software from evetpractice. The latest increase is unacceptable. You did offer to keep my current rate fixed “if” I upgraded to the VetSuite. I really do not appreciate being blackmailed into an upgrade. If you really believed in your product, you would not have made the upgrade contingent upon pricing. At this time, I have Covetrus as my software provider, I order veterinary products through Covetrus and I have Covetrus as my online pharmacy. Given that Covetrus seems to think blackmail is an acceptable avenue to get what they want, I would think that they would appreciate my response to their VetSuite Update offer. As of this moment, I will no longer be ordering from Covetrus as my distributor. Moreover, I will be changing my online pharmacy and utilizing another company. I am a small business and suspect my actions will not affect an enormous company such as Covetrus, but it will allow me to sleep better at night….what about you??

Would recommend for smaller clinics
Comentários: Works as intended, would prefer a way to send messages/emails through it. Easy to learn and get help. Support is typically great. The integrations need help, rapport, online pharmacy, microchip registration etc need help. System itself is great. Lacks year end reports.
Vantagens:
The ease of being able to real time chat with someone for any issues. Easy to learn. Click vs F keys or tabbing.
Desvantagens:
Not being able to run some year end reports easily. There is no messing/emailing through the system for staff. To send phone messages or concerns etc. Still have to hand write these or type them up and print them and give them diretly. The full sign up to start using process is very lengthy.

Comentários: Overall, we've been pleased with Covetrus Pulse. There are improvements that can be made that I've added to the request section, and I know others have similar requests that I've seen. It'd be nice to see development focus on those things.
Vantagens:
Covetrus Pulse is user friendly and easy to train on.
Desvantagens:
I feel like the design/development team focuses more on aesthetics than functionality. It would be awesome to have an area dedicated to prescriptions and refill requests.
Great Program
Comentários: Great! When utilized to its full capacity the medical records are look great.
Vantagens:
I love how functional and customizable the program is for clean easy medical records entry.
Desvantagens:
That it does not write back on the medical records from communications on rapport.

Our 3 year contract and price lock established with [sensitive content hidden] was no longer honored after the first year and then we were told too bad. We have also found out through the grapevine that a couple other clinics are at a significantly cheaper price than ours with similar account choices. We no longer are bragging and suggesting this POS to others because of our poor treatment after being long established clients of Covetrus.

Good but not great
Comentários: I find it easy to learn, it's an upgrade as before we did not have a cloud base system but it also has a lot of kinks that could be fixed to have a smoother user experience.

Cloud based system, easy to learn how to use.
Desvantagens:
Payment processor, entire invoice system, how it takes so many clicks to finish a task.
Highly Recommend
Comentários: Love it! So much better than any PMS I've ever used.
Vantagens:
I like that the platform is very customizable. There are certain things that you can do with this system that you cannot do with others. I love that there is a live chat option to get direct and quick support with any issues. Secondly, I like that there is a feature submission option which allows the people who actually use the platform to have a direct hand in new features that could be put into the system.
Desvantagens:
The system can be quite complex which is great, but also frustrating when it takes 15 steps to one thing.

It is easy to navigate and does allow for easier transfer or charges or histories should a mistake occur

IT DOESN'T ALLOW RAPPORT OR ANY OTHER COMMUNICATION WRITE BACKS INTO A PET'S HISTORY. What is the point of us using Rapport/Covetrus Comms if it doesn't reflect in the patient's history?? IT DOESN'T ALLOW ME TO LINK MULTIPLE ITEMS TO A SERVICE. Instead of making 500 packages I should be able to add linked items to my services.

Comentários: It has been amazing this is the second practice that I have implemented pulse at.
Vantagens:
The ease of access and use. The reports features make my life a lot easier. My tech's also love how everything is much easier to access.
Desvantagens:
No access to an app feature yet. I think it would be amazing if there was an IOS app.

Comentários: Overall this has not been a good experience and I would caution anyone from purchasing this software. If it were up to me we would cancel this service and return to Intravet.
Vantagens:
I like that the doctors signature can be saved in the system for rabies certificates. I like that medical records and vaccine history can be shared directly from the system without having to save as PDFs. I like the integration with rapport. I have also enjoyed working with [sensitive content hidden] she is kind and helpful.
Desvantagens:
There are too many ways to do one thing. I find this to be tedious and harder to learn. The search feature is not functional at all. When looking up clients, patients, or codes- if I am typing in something specific the system should not populate everything containing those letters. Also employees are listed alphabetically by last name but their first name is listed first- why? We continue to find bugs and problems and have to use work arounds and pay close attention to invoices to make sure our clients are not double charged. The invoicing is awful- it should not be this complicated to add and remove items to an invoice. Invoicing in general is too rigid- it should not be hard to return items, refund items and void payments. The billing feature is not great- the bills print out in a format that can not be used in window envelopes which means I have to self address bills. This is time consuming and terrible. Also the finance charges did not show up on the bills- so we have had to write those off as clients pay their bills this cycle. The system is very slow. The layout of just about every single page in the medical record is overwhelming to look at making it really difficult to find items at a glance. The calendar function is not great- You cant look ahead on the schedule without it defaulting back to the current date- If I am looking at appointment dates in October I do not want to be taken back to dates in August. It is simply not user friendly for receptionists and managers.

Covetrus Pulse
Comentários: We switched to Pulse at the beginning of the year and have been very happy with the transition. It has a lot of really neat features that streamline workflow (it has a nice built in speech to text function).
Vantagens:
I love the wide array of functionality and how you can accomplish tasks in many different ways depending on your preferred work flow.
Desvantagens:
It can be a little slow at times- but I have found that to be true for all cloud software.

Comentários: Frustrating seeing a user friendly program become burdensome and slow. Was so much easier when products and services were still set up like the inventory was. Could see line items so much better....
Vantagens:
Covetrus Pulse was never good. Only remnants of what used to be eVet Practice.
Desvantagens:
The constant updates that makes Pulse slower and harder to use.

Comentários: Overall, we would recommend Covetrus Pulse to any practices looking to get more of their records online and have a more cohesive and comprehensive practice management system.
Vantagens:
We love how user friendly Covetrus pulse is and how much information we can store on all of our clients and patients. The software's interface makes it easy for us to train new employees and veterinarians on the program which saves us time. We love how detailed the records are of patients and clients, and that we're able to integrate lab results and documents into the files. Covetrus Pulse allows us to have a very comprehensive compilation of medical files and client history all in one spot, which is easy to navigate and work with.
Desvantagens:
As an equine only practice, we found there were some features that had limitations and made it difficult for us to set up. We had a lot of difficulties with inventory for example, as the program seemed to be tailored more to small animal practices. We did find some regular glitches with the software and often had to call their tech support. Customer service was overall usually quite helpful.

Comentários: Very good, every time I call for customer support they are extremely helpful!
Vantagens:
The ease of use. Finding medical records, inputting information, etc. is very easy.
Desvantagens:
Need more options for mass updating inventory/labs/services. Would work better if it was laid out like an editable spreadsheet. It is clunky to have to click edit on each item, edit, then save and close before moving on.

Comentários: Tough to transition from Avimark to Pulse but once you get the hang of it many things are actually easier.
Vantagens:
Refilling prescriptions is much easier, and the price tag option is very nice for quick price comparison.
Desvantagens:
Prescription labels had many issues with printing correctly, and learning the system was a challenge it is much easier now, but I would like if there was an easier way to search a patients medical history. Like a search bar where you could find certain words like exam without having to scroll through the whole history.
Amazing modern software
Comentários: Excellent project manager and technical support staff, always there to answer questions.
Vantagens:
Very intuitive and easy to use. You have multiple ways to do a certain process and multiple ways to search for information. The quick access buttons are amazing and within reach at all times. The fact that is Cloud based was very helpful to avoid overload of our servers.
Desvantagens:
The transition from Impromed to Pulse was not easy. There were many pieces that didn't migrate at all and needed to be entered manually. Many files didn't transfer at all and we had to keep on checking Imrpomed to find them.

It's typically easy to navigate and has multiple ways to do things (which is good and bad)
Desvantagens:
The anesthesia form is very unsafe. Different ways of putting in drugs makes it more likely for people to make a calculation error. Allows inventory items to be added (both non-anesthetic drugs AND non-drug items like cones).
Pulse/Evet
Comentários: Over all it's been frustrating. There are several request we have put in over the years that would make our experience easier, but they have not been full filled yet.
Vantagens:
The medical record is easy to navigate. The general information and the "by group" sections make things easy to find.
Desvantagens:
There is a lot of different areas that need to be "clicked" When navigating through an MR which is frustrating. The different forms that covetrus has built in the system are not linked to inventory, which means we need to add used inventory items as line items to the MR, vs just adding it to the forms. For example if Ketamine is used during an anesthetic procedure we would enter it in the anesthetic form and as an line item in the MR to account for it in inventory. Response to requests in the past has been quicker than it is currently. There is no streight forward way to enter orders unless the order was placed using the Pulse ordering platform.
Great software
Comentários: I'm satisfied overall and find Pulse easy to use. The original person who set up the system entered vaccines in incorrectly and it has caused us a mess with reminders but that is on us and customer service has been very helpful. I wish the anesthesia monitoring and exam forms allowed for entering letters/text as well as numbers in certain areas. Example: being able to put in UTO, DNO, seconds, etc. I have yet to deep dive into templates, though, so I'm not sure if it is user error or setup. Again, customer service is excellent.
Vantagens:
Easy to use and learn, instant access to chat and troubleshooting, great customer service.
Desvantagens:
Exam and anesthesia monitoring templates

Comentários: FAIR TO GOOD - EASY TO GET AROUDN IN BUT DOES NEED SOME CHANGES AND ADD ONS
Vantagens:
easy to figure out and navigate, but does need some things to be changed/updated.
Desvantagens:
You cant change in the check out the billing's doctor in 1 click must click and change every singe item in invoice individually. Also need to add a rabies vaccine expiry to be automatic applied on certificates (actual product expiry - NOT pet expiry)

Comentários: It has been acceptable for what we have needed it for.
Vantagens:
Simplicity and easy to teach receptionists and technicians how to enter patients and charges.
Desvantagens:
Constant major changes to format which has made it difficult for me to figure out how to operate managerial functions.
