Great Starter Software for New Clinicians

Comentários: I love the features and integrations that SimplePractice provides when using medical software for the first time. I was not overwhelmed when I first used it, it was very easy to adapt and play with.

Vantagens:

I love how simple and easy to use the software is for new mental health professionals adapting to the business management side of mental health services.

Desvantagens:

Billing can be a hassle sometimes if you are just starting off and unfamiliar with the process. Also, reminders can be a little overwhelming, there needs to be a more consistent structure.

SimplePractice is a great platform to run a practice

Vantagens:

SimplePractice makes having a private practice SIMPLE. With this software clients can schedule a consultation with you, input credit card information, you can send them the required paperwork, charge them for the invoice and also add clients notes and measurements all in one place.

Desvantagens:

The price is a bit high when starting off, but it is worth it.

Great app for tracking health

Vantagens:

So simple to track daily calories with a user-filled database of foods. It also had all my records from my doctor which was super helpful.

Desvantagens:

I wish it meshed with other apps easily such as myfitnesspal

Simple Practice bought Luminello - but it is very deficient as an actual Electronic Health (medical) record

Comentários: I am now looking for another Electronic Health Record. One that includes documentation of care for the WHOLE person - including the body...

Vantagens:

It seems like it has all the bells and whistles for therapy - which is great, when I am only seeing people for therapy (which is rare). But, despite Simple Practice having bought Luminello to add on the medical/psychiatric EHR features, it is woefully inadequate for psychiatric services

Desvantagens:

No vital signs (face it, this was the first thing ever digitized in health care. It is not available in Simple Practice, so you must hand enter vitals - every time.) No ability to include scored measures in a progress note automatically Diagnoses do not appear in progress notes unless they are hand entered No physical exam feature (this is literally available everywhere - but not in SP). No automatic display of medications and prescriptions written. There is no crossover from the medication section (Dr First) and the progress note. Meds are not easily viewed while working on a note and seeing the patient. Portal does not seem to contain education or information shared with patients (like med ed). This info is only available in a chat feature. No lab integration. Of course, you can waste a lot of time inventing your own templates for vitals, H&P, etc. I haven't used the billing feature This is overpriced for what it is. I am not sure what they "bought" from Luminello, other than patient lists and demographic info. Otherwise, it is just Dr First slapped on the back end of a therapy EHR.

Easy-to-Use, Customizable, and Well-Intergrated

Comentários: Overall, this is a great product. I'd just recommend a few minor adjustments and it would be the perfect EHR!

Vantagens:

I really love the intuitive calendar management. I can 'drag and drop' appointments and can easily set recurrences and move recurring appointments. I also love the 'Load Last Note' feature where I can save time on filling in standard fields and concentrate more on the weekly/bi-weekly changes in information (i.e. client progress, client needs).

Desvantagens:

I would improve the Telehealth app. The Telehealth app seems to malfunction quite frequently when clients are using their phones to join appointments. I have also noticed that my video glitches quite frequently. I would also improve the 'Share' function on Telehealth. It is very hard to screenshare and use it for sharing worksheets and handbooks.

Very Helpful

Comentários: I started using this when I become overwhelmed at work and started taking it home. Found it very effective as my boys also noticed a difference

I love this ITs easy to use and so helps with work stress and home stress

I am not sure, wish there was more options or subjects

Comentários: Simple practice is very good for a small team or solo practitioner. When you start to get bigger, it might be wise to compare options.

Vantagens:

Simple practice is simple. That is so helpful for a software. It is much easier to set up than the one we are currently using. I also like the two-way Google calendar integration.

Desvantagens:

If you start to add clinicians, then it gets pricey, simple practice does not differentiate between full-time and part-time clinicians in terms of pricing. So we switched, because adding part-time clinicians was getting too expensive for the software. It is also not a marketing centered software compared to the one we are using now.

Frustrations

Comentários: There are so many things that the programming does without my oversight that have created problems with my clients. I do not like the system invoicing clients without my approval, or billing their credit cards. I have felt that the software is running my practice rather than me.

Vantagens:

I am sure that there are positive things about this EHR, but at this point I am too disappointed to remember anything.

Desvantagens:

I HATE the fact that the programming removes clients whom I have scheduled on a weekly basis from my schedule without apprising me or the client. On 5 occasions it has appeared that I stood up a client or forgot about them, since they were no longer on my schedule suddenly with no warning.

You get what you pay for

Comentários: I’ve been with simple practice since my internship years ago. It has truly been simple. And it constantly provides more options.

Vantagens:

What I appreciate most about simple practice is that it is constantly growing, expanding, and improving what is available.

Desvantagens:

The cost is pretty high as you start adding team members.

There's got to be something better than this

Comentários: There is absolutely no customer service. Zero. There's no phone number no email nothing. It's just not acceptable for the price and the sheer number of customers they have. Also it's not simple at all.

Vantagens:

The best feature is that you can make custom forms and you can email consent forms to clients.

Desvantagens:

It's very outdated and clumsy. I use very few of the features. They recently made updates which were more like decorations that really messed up the functionality and I can't take it anymore. I'm looking for something else.

Vantagens:

Support when you are in the buying phase is very responsive. Price is good.

Desvantagens:

You cannot contact customer support directly even during business hours. You will be left hanging and unable to do patient care.

Comentários: some what difficult to chose from the drop panel and pick the diagnosis i need to fit the client

it is very simple i like that it is real easy to use and i am able to make simple notes

not able to program to fit paperless business also i have trouble fitting the diagnosis with a intervention and goal sometimes

Comentários: Overall it has been a great experience.

Vantagens:

It is easy to use. The calendar is straight forward. The videos are hippa compliant which is what most therapists look for. Everything is in one place which makes it great (notes, chart, intake, assessments, insurance codes, superbills)

Desvantagens:

Sometimes the video doesn't work due to some cache that has to be cleared to use. Sometimes clients do not get the video link

The platform is user-friendly, efficient, and easy to navigate. The customer service is outstanding. I am incredibly grateful to be using this EHR and highly recommend Luminello to every person looking for an EHR that is focused on mental health & psychiatry.

Desvantagens:

Very satisfied. I would only request an integrated Spravato REMS feature for ease of compliance with this treatment and customized templates specific to Spravato and Ketamine Therapy.

Comentários: I really like the ease of use of this platform is also outstanding and being able to navigate through the different functions is very easy. They even gave me some initial training to help me get familiar with all the features.

Vantagens:

I am delighted that the automatic appointment reminders have significantly reduced no-shows, allowing me to keep a much more organized schedule.

Desvantagens:

Well I wish I could have more flexibility to customize them to my specific practice needs which would allow me to be even more efficient in my daily work.
