Excellent platform to manage your Saas Business.
Things started to go wrong when we try to use a more advanced implementation using their API. Integration with Hubspot was a mess, but we manage to fix that.

Everything is in there
Comentários: Good. We used to do manual invoices separate from credit card invoices. Having a single billing systems improves efficiency and we have a single source of the truth with respect ti critical business KPI's.
Vantagens:
I like that we can also do quotes from the system that customers can accept and it takes them to the checkout. Huge time-save for our sales team.
Desvantagens:
It's hard to do price indexation to subscriptions. It generates credits and credit notes that our customers initially don't understand without us explaining it.

Razões para escolher o Chargebee: Recurly was more expensive and could not give us a good deal to their enterprise plan as an existing customer.

Razões para mudar para o Chargebee: Chargebee was more simple which suited are business. Chargify was good too. Conceptually they can address complexer issues but it also makes it harder to implement. They could also not support future billing.

Subscription management you can rely on
Comentários: Its been great to use Chargebee and we have absolutely no regrets about out decision.
Vantagens:
The system is fast and provides a great development experience.
Desvantagens:
The changes to the platform's product catalog means that switching to the newest version is a lot of work. As the older version is still supported, this is not a big deal however helping with the migration would be very welcome.

It automatically handled a customer's plan upgrade, ensuring seamless billing without any manual intervention.
Desvantagens:
It took me a while to understand all its features and settings, which delayed its implementation into my billing system.

Accounting Software that needs help!
Comentários: It hasn't been the most pleasant experience. Our company decided to move to Chargebee at the recommendation of an employee who didn't quite understand the financial side of the business. We are constantly editing subscriptions and it's quite burdensome. If you run a filter on a particular screen and click on a link, it erases the filter. While this software seems to be more efficient from a reporting perspective, it's much more burdensome for the employees doing the actual work. We've been using it for approximately four months and are constantly finding problems with it. We trained ourselves on how to use it before going live to ensure that it performed as expected. We're still not pleased with its performance.
Vantagens:
I like the idea of automated dunning emails and automatic follow-ups for customers. But so far, they haven't worked correctly.
Desvantagens:
Editing a subscription is a lot more complicated than other software. I don't like that you cannot easily view a screen that shows paid and unpaid invoices. I don't like that invoices get paid and there are no notifications. I don't like that you cannot enter payment information for a customer. We have fought with customers who previously were on auto-pay to get their information entered into this software. I don't like that once a customer has entered payment details and turned on auto-pay, ALL invoices will get paid once they are created, even if the purchase is not part of the subscription. If a subscription is set for auto-pay and a customer decides to buy training, they should have the option to pay individually. The only way to do this would be to turn off auto-pay every time you run an individual invoice.

Helps me run a smooth sales call!
Comentários: Overall it's been very positive! Have always received help when needed, and as I have things set up, it runs smoothly and efficiently for my day to day workflow.
Vantagens:
I love how easy it is to grab a link to a plan when I'm in the middle of a call and process payment when a buyer is ready on the spot. Having that functionality helps me move sales along faster and more efficiently.
Desvantagens:
It is difficult to navigate the setup and customizations when needed.
Chargebee experience
Vantagens:
It's really easy to use and handles everything for you + it has great documentation for developers and I havem't encoutered any kind of bug which is truly amazing. Chargebee is basically perfect!
Desvantagens:
Didn't find any cons, maybe it can get confusing seen the amount of settings but there is documentation made to help you.

Great system, very easy for start ups
Comentários: Despite not being able to afford many of the features our package is still totally fit for purpose and has helped our business grow since we were founded, and the cusotmer support is incredible.
Vantagens:
This system is very simple to use and makes setting up subscription management for a tech start up simple. It provides great customer overview and we have it integrated using APIs and zapier into our CRM as well directly into our app to ensure that access and user numbers are controlled by whether a cusotmer has an active subscription.
Desvantagens:
There are a lot of amazing features that you can only access with much more expensive plans.

Excellent billing s/w for SaaS businesses.
Comentários: The business problem we are solving with Chargebee is managing our Subscription-based billing and invoicing. It has streamlined it very well for us, bar a few hiccups here and there. The support has been tremendous and it has overall been a pleasant experience.
Vantagens:
I loved the interface, and how easy it was to set things up for our subscription-based billing. Some of the things I really liked are creating plans, coupons, add-ons, sending payment links, updating invoices and customer info, AND how all of these work seamlessly with each other.
Desvantagens:
I would have liked more customisation in terms of invoicing, for eg: set a subscription and add add-hoc line items in it in the middle of the subscription cycle. Another thing which could be improved is the integration with our CRM (Hubspot). Plenty of times, the deal creation from Chargebee to Hubspot either didn't work, or worked differently from the expected behaviour, in spite of setting things up as instructed.

While Chargebee offers a comprehensive set of features, there is a slight learning curve involved in fully harnessing its capabilities. As a Product Manager, I had to invest some time in understanding the platform and its various functionalities. However, once familiarized, the benefits far outweigh the initial learning investment

We have 2 months with this free version and we have automated the invoice in some departments, we continue to link other systems and we are ready to purchase a license.
Desvantagens:
At first I did not trust this software, but if we have automated many invoices, we are on the way to a new version to move forward with more data.
Code quality is terrible. UI is confusing. Full of bugs.
Comentários: A total disaster. Spent over 2 months trying to get everything working, but I kept hitting bugs and problems.
Vantagens:
The backend code looks nice, but the frontend is a disaster.
Desvantagens:
Obviously no one is testing or maintaining the code. It's half baked, buggy and the user interface is bad.

Razões para escolher o Chargebee: I don't like Wordpress or PHP and wanted something more modern. Unfortunately Chargebee's code is old and crusty and worse than Woocommerce.
Software anterior: WooCommerce
Razões para mudar para o Chargebee: I should have done more research. Chargebee is a 'unicorn' with 300 million dollars. I don't know what they spent the money on, but obviously not the code. It's all marketing and hype.
To be avoided, it will cost you LT!

Chargebee started as a good product challenging Recurly but now it's really one of the worst decision we ever took
Desvantagens:
Their representative explicitly lied to to us to get us on a higher pricing in order to get his bonus and then you are stuck with another representation trying to get you to pay even to get his bonus aswell for the same feature that were promised earlier by someone else. Their management really needs to train their staff better & decide on a pricing policy that aligns interest (fixed or variable -- you can have it both ways! ) First chance we get, we get away from this scamming company!

Imperfect, but still pretty good
Comentários: Mostly positive. Myself (non-technical) and my technical team have been able to integrate with our product and website with few issues aside from the previously mentioned requests. Also, my email with Chargebee is [email protected] (old email) even though I have [email protected] listed here.
Vantagens:
I'm able to handle my payment processing, recurring subscriptions, license validation, reports and more all from the same product.
Desvantagens:
Usually support is helpful but there have been a few times when the feature just isn't available and there was no timetable given as to when it could be added (or how I could make sure the development team received my request). Two examples- you can't hide the subscription amount when someone is signing up for a free trial and if you have a free trial assigned to a plan the user can't skip the free trial if they want to be charged immediately (you can help them with this on the backend, which adds friction).
Excellent product and service
Comentários: It's been great to have more than an API as our billing provider. CB is a true partner.
Vantagens:
Chargebee makes it painless to manage subscription billing on top of a payment processor or gateway, along with a modern interface from a team that "gets" SaaS. But the best part is their attention to you as a customer and their willingness to meet or exceed your expectations repeatedly. As a startup, this is invaluable.
Desvantagens:
As with any critical service, there are occasional data migrations or updates that must be navigated, but the CB team has always made this as easy as possible.
Powerful product, 1 stop shop for subscription management
Vantagens:
We rely on Chargebee for the recurring element of our business. It is incredibly flexible in the types of subscriptions you can create, and how you want to manage them. Every single element of every customer's subscription is customizable.

Billing Software For All
Comentários: Chargebee enables is to efficiently bill clients and keep updated records of all customer billing information. The system also enables us to remind clients on outstanding payments. Its integration with our CRM enables us to help keep a centralized platform for custom relations.
Vantagens:
The seamless integrations is enables as well as the automation that come with it.
Desvantagens:
The UI can be a bit dragging and makes it difficult for one to stick on the software.
Wish it were a bit easier
Vantagens:
I LOVE that you get to start for free while you're getting set up and building your business. That option is very valuable to me and the clients I work with. That is probably the #1 reason my clients have chosen the platform in the past.
Desvantagens:
There's so much to set up and sort out, and while it's nice that they reach out to hop on a call and give support (they reach out too much, actually), I'd rather have tutorials or even just a clearer sense of what to take care of first, what comes next, and on and on. It also surprises me at times how seemingly simple things are not handled simply. For instance, you should be able to send invoices without a client's credit card, or set up multiple payment plans within the same product.

It's worth exploring
Comentários: It is a good platform for automating payments. The platform has good documentation available, but setting it up without prior experience can be challenging. It can handle both simple processes and more complex workflows. Exploring this platform is definitely worth it.
Vantagens:
It seems like good solution for many needs, from recurring billing to payment management, Chargebee can be a valuable tool. A good plus is that there is no need to build our solutions from scratch and several integrations are available to streamline the workflow. The big advantage is reducing the amount of human processing since all information is inside the platform.
Desvantagens:
The UX can be improved and it can take some time to understand how to use the several option.
Payments simplified
Comentários: We have been using Chargebee for over 6 months now and the experience has been nothing but great. The setup and onboarding is amazingly simple. From a developer point of view, integration process has been clearly chalked out and documentation is crisp and to the point. The pricing plan itself is very encouraging. 50K dollars are processed without any cost.
Vantagens:
- Pricing plan - Integration and Documentation - Ability to setup coupons - Direct integration with affiliate systems
Desvantagens:
Setting up payments in multiple currency requires a bit of a workaround but again its sorted out.

Hubspot/CRM integration is not great, we haven’t been able to transfer all necessary info
An excellent choice for big businesses
Vantagens:
Simple integration and easy to use features make it excellent choice for any big business. It provides all necessary tools for an ecommerce business and very rigid on data security.
Desvantagens:
There are few plans but I must say it is very expensive to run for a small business.
Perfect for Non-tangable service based businesses
Comentários: Found Chargebee after switching to braintree payments for my credit card processing needs. Super simple setup, and easy to create products and customer subscriptions. Hosted payment pages make collecting payment securely a breeze.

Great for startups
Comentários: I use Chargebee primarily for charging for subscription plans. It's been great for starting up because there aren't any upfront costs
Vantagens:
Their freemium plans is great for startups. You don't have to pay Chargebee for anything until you generate $50000 of revenue on their platform. They also offer a test playground where you can mess around without breaking anything, which is nice.
Desvantagens:
Transitioning some of the data from the playground environment to the live environment was a bit confusing.
Disappointing & Frustrating
Comentários: For the level of quality of their support and service their paid plans are overpriced.
Vantagens:
Has a full range of features and settings for subscription management.
Desvantagens:
Buggy and poorly implemented features that will leave you frustrated. For example you can sync orders with ShipStation which has a setting to use order billing address when shipping address is not available which sounds good however their solution for this is to silently send the billing address to ShipStation if a shipping address is set but it has a validation error. So you can mysteriously end up with orders in ShipStation with the wrong shipping address. Desperate sales staff who over promise. Slow & inexperienced support staff, that have plenty of canned responses to buy themselves more time.
Nice tool for managing subscription business
Vantagens:
I fell in love with ChargeBee's interface and sleek outlook. They have rich features to offer, perfect for companies who look for a solid alternative to manage their subscription transactions.
Desvantagens:
Their pricing is something that may bring a challenge for small companies to adopt it. Otherwise, this is nice for large enterprises, even SAAS companies with solid revenue track.
