Escapia is very reliable

the easy way to work, and accurancy on numbers

Desvantagens:

The owner's Statements allow only two email addresses to send correspondence to, we need more sometimes.

Ugly and complicated, but mostly works

Vantagens:

Escapia does do most of what it needs to. Especially from an accounting perspective, Escapia works for managing properties and owners, rates, fees, contracts, etc. Escapia also does integrate (with some flaws...) with a lot of other property softwares and listing sites. Finally, I have had mostly good experiences working with Escapia Support, and Homeaway Integration support when trying to figure out integration issues between Escapia and VRBO and other listing sites.

Desvantagens:

The sheer number of times that I had to contact support while using this product bear witness to the fact that it is not easy to use at all. Escapia can do a lot of things, but in order to get it to work you first have to be able to figure it out. There are all kinds of little nooks and crannies all over the software - boxes that have to be checked and extra steps that have to be remembered - if you want it to function. It's also not very pleasant to look at, which isn't a big deal, but also doesn't help. Compared to MyVR's interface Escapia just looks old and ugly. We gave up altogether on setting up an Escapia website, and went with MyVR instead. Overall, Escapia does work for us, and does do what it needs to, but it's not a fun system to use.

Escapia Fan for 7 years!

Comentários: We have used Escapia for 7 years and are so happy! We wouldn’t consider using any other vacation rental management software. It has been great for our business operations to have all of the new features and enhancements.

Vantagens:

Functionality, ease of use, support, and training videos!

Desvantagens:

Downtime when there is a problem, which is not often, but when it happens we are unable to operate. Lack of ongoing communication with an Account Manager. We talk with account managers on a monthly basis with other vacation rental management products (Beyond, Real Tech, local social media marketing team, etc.)

Comentários: Our overall experience has been great. Ease in working with them to learn the programs, ease in curing any problems which have been minor ones, very responsive to a call for assistance and fair pricing.

Vantagens:

Escapia is extremely user friendly. If a question occurs it is easily researched in the tutorials and always a quick answer if we need to call in for assistance. We also appreciate the willingness of Escapia in listening to the customer and trying to blend in our needs to the programs. We are very satisfied.

Desvantagens:

We do not have much to add here as over all we are quite happy.

With Escapia over a decade

Comentários: Good. I don't have much interaction with support but when I do need something i get fairly quick response and help to resolve any issues.

Vantagens:

Ease of use. I've been using Escapia for over a decade and know the ins and outs of what I need to access on my end.

Desvantagens:

The calendar doesn't sync with AirBnb. Therefore I have to manually enter those reservations into my escapia calendar to avoid double booking a condo.

Comentários: I shared most of my experience in the Pros section, but I would like to say, it's remarkably easy to go back & capture specific reports & trail data for requests from our Marketing team & General Manager.

Vantagens:

Escapia is streamline, efficient & covers all the bases for interaction, follow up, & data control. This conversation with our guests is one of the most important facets of our presence and ongoing relationship to build repeat opportunity! I love Escapia!

Easy to use

Comentários: Wish there was an app we could use. It’s difficult sometimes to pull up web based screen and get the info needed on a phone.

Vantagens:

Gives good basic information. Easy to use.

Desvantagens:

It would be nice if when changes happen on a reservation such as dates that the housekeeper assigned gets an email. And when a reservation is made, the assigned housekeeper gets an email.

Works well but not without challenges

Vantagens:

Overall, it has been a reliable solution that meets our needs. The software generally works well and provides most of the functionality we require. When it’s running smoothly, it’s a great tool.

Desvantagens:

Like any platform, it’s not without its challenges. We’ve encountered occasional bugs and performance hiccups, and sometimes support response times could be improved. However, the team seems committed to making improvements.

Comentários: Escapia has been a great tool for us, especially for the price we managed to get since we signed up when it was a newer company. It seems to be improving constantly which I really appreciate. While some things may be meticulous, it is at least fairly straightforward to use.

Vantagens:

Escapia is clearly working to improve the front and back end of their site. Lots of recent new features have made it an even more user-friendly and robust tool for managing our properties, owners, and guests for our STR business.

Desvantagens:

Some of the features feel like they require an in-depth lesson on; but Escapia University classes don't seem to cover every topic. While support is helpful, they can take a little while to reply and it'd be nice to have a more built-out help center with DIY articles.

Escapia work for us.

Comentários: We love how it's setup and streamlined and the ease of use aspect of it.

Vantagens:

It had integration with VRBO and it's easy to use.

Desvantagens:

Partner reservations do not get put onto the Overdue Payments list. No guest reminder unless you use the Escapia contracts. Those will send daily reminders.

Why we left...and came back.

Comentários: We, know well what we are working with and the issues that Escapia has. The benefits of the use of Escapia, far out weigh the "gremlins" in Escapia. Customer support is great service.

Vantagens:

Escapia is all inclusive, from bookings to owner payouts. It has everything needed for guests, business and owners.

Desvantagens:

The "Gremlins"...Escapia has them, make no mistake about knowing that they are in the program. We actually left Escapia after 10 years of use, to purchase a booking platform that was a one and done upfront cost. We stayed only 3 months using that booking platform and came back to Escapia. For us, it was the devil you know, vs. the devil you don't. Escapia does have 95% of what we need.

Comentários: We used Escapia for more than 8 years but we had to always rely on third party solutions to connect with Airbnb, Inntopia and even our own website, so we decided to move away to a more modern and friendly solution.
Bit don’t get me wrong, Escapia even though dated is extremely well designed and work very well.

Vantagens:

The accounting, housekeeping and work order modules are incredibly well designed.

Desvantagens:

The pricing module is not friendly and cumbersome. Doesn’t have a direct connection with Airbnb and doesn’t have a built in website solution

Always improving! Must have STVR software

Comentários: All positive. We aren't changing! Guest experiences are better because of software. Owner's reports and revenues are better because of escapia. In-office workflow is more efficient because of escapia.

Vantagens:

It syncs perfectly with our largest producer of reservations; Vrbo!

Desvantagens:

The confusion between "jetted tub" and "hot tub" when posted on OTAs

Comentários: Overall the experience is good and the software updates are very beneficial.

Vantagens:

Easy to use, once you can navigate certain aspects of the software on your own with experience.

Desvantagens:

Customer service in the accounting area can be challenging to achieve as Tier Two must receive a message to assist, yet rarely call back however email their response. Sometimes training the consumer in this area would be more beneficial and in the long run, would not only educate the user but decrease their volume of call if they would let the consumer ask questions and receive options for ways to operate in a financial situation in the software. Tier Two should provide more adequate service and training as it is or should be included with the software. Accounting questions can not be answered by the team that typically answers support calls.

Comentários: Our overall experience has been a good one. I know there will always be hiccups along the way, but being able to reach out to a responsive support team is critical. So if it wasn't for the Escapia support team coming to the rescue during those times, my rating would probably not be as good.

Vantagens:

Easy to use and customer support is awesome and agents have always been professional and kind.

Desvantagens:

Over the last 2 years, I've learned a lot of different features in Escapia but learned new things along the way.

Comentários: Excellent product for the money! I've been a user since 2009 and Escapia has always been at the core of our business software. I wouldn't entertain moving to any other platform.

Ease of use. Makes accounting for owner statements a breeze.

Nothing, every feature we use seems to work well.

Vantagens:

It just works! Especially from the accounting side. If you want a proven solution for accounting and trust accounting Escapia is your best option. All other functionality and integrations also work very well and you can see the continued evolution of the product to keep up with an ever changing industry and end user needs.

Desvantagens:

Escapia works for our business. I don't have any specific cons.

Vantagens:

I love the Reservations Dashoboard. This allows me to manage my week and future bookings.I can get an overall view of my properties in terms of availability, what is booking, and what property I perhaps need to focus on.

Daily banking reconciliation and monthly reconciliation.

Comentários: A powerful tool for the complete needs of a vacation rental management company, from providing guest quotes, customizing guest arrival experience, to managing accounts.

Vantagens:

The accounting side of this software is strong and a knowledgeable user has powerful tools. Owner statements are transparent and clearly structured. Correspondence is attractive and easy to customize. The various tools available for setting rates/manipulating rates are easy to use. The reservation grid is easy to understand, and the filters and quotes make the reservationists' work easier and more consistent. Integration with Glad Hospitality helps provide a good guest experience without much effort (once the initial setup is complete). The reports are informative and useful. Bank reconciliation tool is an absolute essential. Having used Escapia and other VRM software while working for other companies, when I started my own company, I knew the only software I wanted to use was Escapia.

Desvantagens:

Features for automated or scheduled correspondence are weak. There is no "notes" area associated with owners for keeping a record of requests, authorizations, etc. Because it is a powerful system, to develop the skills necessary to fully take advantage of its many useful features means you need to invest some time and effort. That is not really a "con" to me. If you have a good tool, you want to learn to take full advantage of it. However, for a new user, it could seem a little scary. But we found that it's not terribly difficult to learn what you need to learn in order to successfully take advantage of the system as a basic user, and that if you want to stop there, you can and you'll still have a good system. It's worth putting in the work, though, to become a skilled user to take advantage of the full capabilities of the system.
