I was not a part of implementing the change of our payroll to the Sure Payroll software so I can't personally speak into the ease of integration.

Desvantagens:

I don’t like being charged to cancel a payroll immediately after it is submitted.

SurePayroll - accurate, timely, easy to use

Vantagens:

Love that we are able to provide every employee with their own log in access to view history, print copies of checks and W-2's. Frees up a lot of time by allowing them to perform this critical task.

Desvantagens:

Nothing negative too report. We have not experienced any problems with accuracy of data, and their security is excellent.

Comentários: Overall it has been excellent. I use Gusto for my other business and am thinking about switching.

Vantagens:

Easy to run payroll. I also like the reminders. I am very busy so these are very helpful. The reporting is also very good.

Desvantagens:

Some of the set up was a bit difficult especially in the tax area for employees. My employees have said that the self service portal was difficult to navigate. I have one employee that keeps getting locked out of the account.

Very Poor Customer Service, Lots of Mistakes

Comentários: If I had it to do over again, I would have gone with a different company. They seem ok for large companies that have dedicated staff to handle payroll. But their customer service is absolutely awful, and the support is often non-existent. I would shop around and find a company with better service, even if you have to pay more.

Vantagens:

Surepay did a decent job once we got it setup. It ran our payroll well, and they have a range of options on how to file. As long as you don't have an issue the company is pretty decent.

Desvantagens:

They setup our initial employees and made a mistake with one in another state. They filed unemployment insurance with the wrong state agency, even though the other taxes were filed with the right none. No explanation for why. We had to fight that battle ourselves. The CSR tried to get us to extend to the end of the year, gaslighting us by stating we wouldn't get year end reports done. Well in payroll everything is done quarterly and we can fill out our own W2's (use the IRS form publicly available). They hung up on us twice when we refused to extend service. They did not want us to cancel. I spent two hours on the phone trying to cancel, was forwarded to different departments, was dropped into the receptionists office, and it took me threatening legal action to get our cancellation done. Their employees are very rude and impatient. They don't listen to your issue, constantly talk over you and interrupt, and then drop your call if you dare to ask them to listen to your issue. Their culture seems as though it could be toxic.

Comentários: I am using Sure Payroll for 3 months and happy with Surepayroll. I was very frustrated with my previous payroll company (Axx), now I am happy switching to Sure Payroll. Highly recommend to everyone!

Simple & easy to set up & simple to use the app.Provides what I need for payrolls.

Desvantagens:

Report has manual setup to get. If it can be automated monthly email to the customer, it would be helpful.

Taken advantage of in natural disaster

Comentários: Unnecessarily Stressful & disappointing. I have been in the Hospitality Industry for over 35 years. You cannot give customer service without a willingness to be helpful. It’s that simple.

Vantagens:

I was a satisfied customer of Sure Payroll. When a natural disaster struck my town and shut down my business they took advantage of me. They have continued to charge me for an account that I was told would be closed. They filed false reports with the IRS. The most passive aggressive and condescending customer service rep. Told me that I would have to “dealt with it on my own”. She did not help me close my account. I have not be spoken to that way while asking for help in a long time.

Desvantagens:

Customer service. One of the worst experiences I have had. Very stressful when dealing with something sensitive like the IRS.

RUN RUN RUN - THEY COLLECTED TAXES AND THE IRS CAN'T FIND THEM

Vantagens:

Nothing - I've called their customer service 6+ times this week and they are no help.

Desvantagens:

I used Surepayroll in 2022 and recently heard from the IRS that Surepayroll hasn't submitted my tax dollars. I am now chasing/begging Surepayroll to help locate the missing money.

ADP is so worth the $$ in comparison to sitting on hold for 1+ hours EVERYTIME you need help

Comentários: I LOVED this company when I started with them years ago. Over the last 2 years their service has gone in the toilet. Literally just about EVERY time I have contacted them for the last 2 years I have had to sit on hold for over an hour. I am typing this review while I sit on hold (for an hour and a half according to what I was just told will be my addl hold time) because I was supposed to have access to my reports in my account that I closed through april 1 of this year. My accountant can not access, I can not access (I would think this is illegal???) and now I wait. THANK GOD I have left this group, for the extra money I am paying ADP I will SAVE so much on time lost.

Vantagens:

It was great until 2020. Software was fine, it is the service that is horrible.

Desvantagens:

See the overall experience. Service is the worst.

Employee Changes

Comentários: Not that happy. Worried that there will be last minute corrections to employee records and payroll will need to be re-entered.

Vantagens:

The online and telephone Support team. Also, some of the reports.

Desvantagens:

Too much work if there is an employee change once the payroll has already been entered.

Comentários: My experience, in the beginning, was terrible. Our reps would not answer my emails or phone calls, and I just couldn't get any help or answers. After having a conversation with someone in charge, all of that changed. We were assigned new reps and they were just amazing. It's all about connecting with the right people in a company and cultivating that relationship with them.

Vantagens:

The set up process is easier than some because there is a dedicated person who helps you set up a company in SurePayroll. I like that it's easy to review before running payroll in order to spot any errors.

Desvantagens:

What I like least is the ongoing technical issues we've experienced as an accounting firm. At least 50% of our clients were unable to sign in to their own account, so we had to go in for them anytime a change or report was needed.

Overall Great Payroll system

Comentários: Overall Surepay provided all the necessary platforms and features that will suffice for smaller companies.

Vantagens:

I enjoyed the dedicated portal for all accounts. It also allowed us to view all previous stubs and download w2 forms as needed from mobile.

Desvantagens:

Not much I didn't like about Surepayroll.Perhaps sometimes the logging-in procedure was a bit hard due to the security authentication feature.

Hard to cancel subscription.

Comentários: I found that I did not need it after one month and tried to cancel it but found several months later that I was still being billed for the service. The cancellation process is not easy and there are no emails about subscription billing to let me know that I was still paying. Basically paid for 6 months for no usage.

Vantagens:

It was a well designed application with lots of features.

Desvantagens:

Not easy to talk to anyone about issues.

Absolutely, Positively, Miserable Experience with ZERO Customer Support

Comentários: Absolutely, positively, miserable. I wouldn't use this company if they were the last company on the planet that offered payroll services.

Vantagens:

Nothing. They provide nothing beyond what other services provide.

Desvantagens:

We signed up and used the service for a few months, then needed to make a switch to another service for technical reasons. It took us 29 emails and 14 phone calls to cancel the service. They couldn't care less about customers that desire to cancel. On the other hand, if you're thinking of singing up you will receive a phone call and/or email within minutes. But....if you want to cancel, be prepared. Canceling is about as difficult as disarming a nuclear bomb. They do EVERYTHING within their power to prevent you from canceling, including disabling the ability to cancel from within your account, refusing to return your calls and emails, hanging up on you, transferring you to a deadline, and requiring you to jump through countless hoops. I estimate their onboarding process is 100 times easier than their offboarding process, which they couldn't give two shits about.

Save Your Time, Energy and Money and find something else!

Comentários: I signed up with RM, who is a nice guy btw. I wanted to get set up with their payroll system and also use a time keeping product. I explained what I was looking for in a time keeping product and they referred me to their time keeping system because it could do things like have 3rd party managers approve time. I was told that by the rep, manager and then discovered a week later that I couldn't do it by their implementation team. Ok, I get it, they were wrong. I understand. They referred me to a list of their partners of about 12-15 or so. So I go through that whole list (which takes time btw) and pick one. I'm like "yay!" got one... finally fixed. Then a week later, it is discovered that they actually aren't a time keeping partner even though they referred me to them. And this was already after I spent $1k on setting up with that "partner". So, then I'm like whatever, you guys are clueless, let me think of a solution here. They offer me a free month of service for my troubles. Sweet. At this point, I just want to be able to pay people. I could go on in more detail but have to be brief because I'm running out of space, so here are my highlights...I set up payroll and guess what? like most of their software architecture it didn't work, the people didn't get paid. They were like, where's my paycheck? Same day I called Intuit Payroll and they took care of everything in one hour and got people paid! what a shit show from SurePayroll. Should be called ShitPayroll or unSurePayroll.

Vantagens:

At first it was easy to use. But that only lasted a day. Everything on the back end of their software is crap. Bad connections. Different teams don't communicate to each other. It's a sad case. They should either try to fix it or give up in the industry. I definitely do not recommend them.

Desvantagens:

Whoever runs this company needs to re-examine EVERYTHING. From your front line reps, to your managers, to your operations, to you Customer Service Team to your engineers or IT staff that develop and maintain your SaaS product. I don't know how a company like Paychex can by SurePayroll and not make it better than what it is. People are nice but pretty much clueless and not helpful.

Impossible to get Customer Support or help

Comentários: Frustrating.

Vantagens:

Before your purchase the product, they are very attentive. But after you have purchased the product, you can not get to customer service. I just purchased the service Dec 31, 2021 and haven't been trying to get support from that point. I can not not get any customer support.

Desvantagens:

When you call Customer Service - you are placed on hold forever. They say "wait time is over 30 minutes" but I was on hold for 2.5 hours, and then the line got disconnected. You call back and you're placed back in line (now "wait time of over 45 minutes"). They give you an option for them to call you back and supposedly you don't lose your place in line. After several hours, you get a call back and you are placed back in a wait line. After 1.5 hours of waiting, after they called me back, I hung up. I do this several times at different days and at different times. I tried to call the sales people that I purchased the product from. They won't call back or email me back either.
