Sage Business Cloud - Cannot Do Business Without It

Vantagens:

I love the fact that my clients and I can share the same system in different locations. It also has an app that I can use on the go for invoicing and quotes.

Desvantagens:

Currently, I don't have any grips with the system.

Comentários: Capability to meet the objectives of the finance department while also making the workflow much easier in terms of maximizing efficiency

Vantagens:

The installation and implementation procedures are straightforward. I like how easy the features are to use, even for non-accountants. It enables clients and colleagues to share files in real-time, saving time and eliminating the need to send invoices via email. This streamlines and lowers the cost of debtor management. When one is on the go, having access via a mobile device is extremely useful. The software is also reasonably priced, and it includes a free trial period. Sage's customer service is excellent.

Desvantagens:

One suggestion is that when adding a new Item from the Invoice screen, the new Item screen includes all features (such as selecting the Purchase account). You must currently exit the Invoice, create a new Item, and then return to the Invoice.

Comentários: Was okay so we decided to switch software after many years

Accuracy is the best & wonderful part of sage software.

Desvantagens:

Price is expensive compared to other software in market .

Sage Online Accounting

Comentários: The software is good and reliable. Very few errors have happened to the software, since we have moved to the cloud. So Good.

Vantagens:

You can log in from anywhere. Take on is easy. Invoicing is simple to use. Allocating receipts and payments straight from the important bank statements makes processing easy

Desvantagens:

The stock system does not intergrate well between the stock holdings and values and the balance sheet. Extra modules are required for this basic function and this does not always solve the problem. This results in clients needing to continuously reconcile stock to balance the Inventory Valuation to the Inventory Ledger.The project management systems need to be improved so individual and multiple projects can be quickly monitored in an income statement.

Cloud Accounting Package that is easy to use with limitations

Comentários: Overall for our purposes the software is easy to setup and use. I like the ability to access it anywhere and the ability to attach documents to transactions in the system. Modifying the chart of accounts was easy but the lack of customization on the layout of financial statements is frustrating.

Vantagens:

We have used the software version of sage products such as Sage Business Works and Sage 50 so the product and company are familiar to us. The ability to login to the software from anywhere and to no longer have to have client/server environment is great. The software was easy to signup for and was relatively easy to implement.

Desvantagens:

There are 2 large cons to this software in comparison to it's direct competitors. Con #1: The package has no ability to custom group GL accounts. So for example, if you have a section on your income statement for sales and you want to group sales by category and have a sub-total for that sales section you cannot do that. There is really no ability to edit the income statement layout or the balance sheet layout to add in sections and sub totals so you are stuck with the canned version of the software. Con #2: In an environment where you have multiple small companies, you look after you cannot have one userid and password to access all the companies. You have to setup each company with it's own userid an password then invite another user via an email link to join.

Sage Business Cloud Accounting

Comentários: Sage Business Cloud Accounting is easy to set up and use. I loved that it easily integrated with our existing business. With internet access, the software is accessible from anywhere and is available on mobile devices. It makes bank reconciliation and invoicing easy.

Vantagens:

Installation and implementation are easy. I like that the features are easy to use even for non-accounting persons. It enables real time sharing of files with clients and colleagues which saves on time and eliminates the need to direct email invoices. This makes debtor management easy and less costly. Accessibility from a mobile device is a huge plus when one is on the move. The software is also affordable and has a free trial. Sage has good customer support.

Desvantagens:

Since the software can only be accessed online, it is difficult to work with when internet speeds are slow or when there is no connection at all. Sometimes bank sync feed is slow and the handling of foreign currency bank transactions could do with some improvements.

Sage Accounting

Vantagens:

Sage accounting is very helpful accounting solutions for small and medium size enterprises. Where all accounting and tax related features easily available.

Desvantagens:

Software sometimes can be slow which can affect productivity

Sage was easy to learn and use!

Vantagens:

The accounting of course, the billing and invoicing were all easy to learn and was able to use.

Desvantagens:

There was nothing I disliked about the Sage Accounting. Again very easy to use.

Comentários: Excellent, the more you learn about the software the more possibilities to improve your business, an all in one package.

Vantagens:

With starting on a new venture it was imperative to start off with the right software, Sage gives us everything we currently need in terms of invoicing, banking, ensuring all payments (in & out) are allocated, plus the flexibility to set up your own product codes & pricing structure specific to our business.

Desvantagens:

I would like to see a word search feature included in the invoice and purchasing section, rather than have to go through individual invoices to find the product I am looking for.

Vantagens:

From AutoEntry to sage accounting to sage final accounts. I like the bank feed within sage accounting - all time saving.

Desvantagens:

Bulk nominal changes would be a good addition. Otherwise I have to go into each individual invoice

Easy to use

Comentários: I love the fact that the product integrates with other products such as payroll.

Vantagens:

I loved the fact that for the most part everything seemed extremely easy to use. I did run into a few issues, but I found the support staff were extremely helpful. I would like to point ou that I am not an accountant by trade and give my books to a qualified accountant at the end of each year. This product served that purpose entirely.

Desvantagens:

The bank statements duplicated on one of the imports, but to be honest Im not sure if I did something wrong.

Sage provides a one stop cloud based solution with the power to tackle the most complex clients and the ease of use to mean that using it is not a chore - its well laid out, graphically pleasing and the menus have a logical and intuitive structure - it is easy to gain proficiency in its use and deployment and its advanced functionality is attainable without too much head scratching. Customer service is world class - and support features such as Sage University and Sage Champions are second to none - all in all its a mid-price point software package that does it all as well as anyone and often a great deal better backed than any of the competition, and it is backed up by the best aftermarket support package, customer service structure in the marketplace - with Sage you are never alone - they back you 100% in supporting you and your business and that alone is priceless in this day and age. Put simply - Sage is pivotal to our success and without them we could not do what we do.

Desvantagens:

No - I say no because Sage are good enough to listen to improvement suggestions from end users, log them and incorporate the key ones in their roadmap - again the transparency of Sage and the inclusivity means that any teething problems are documented and supported until they are untimely resolved.

Awesome Account Software for all your needs

Comentários: Sage Business cloud accounting has been a huge relief for my finance department making their records traceable.

Comentários: My accountant can open a copy and quickly finish the year and tax preparation saving me time and money.

Vantagens:

I have used it for a very long time and it works very easily for me. It has evolved but never change so much as to make it difficult to keep using using. Sage has much more than I need but is still competitive with price and easy to use what I need.

Desvantagens:

I never got the hang of bank reconciliation to work faster than manually but is me and I do not have a great deal of entries.

Sage One - Good for a Chicken Farmer in Zimbabwe

Comentários: No comment, as it was developed by Pastel and not a lot of effort was placed in developing a descent accounting platform.

Vantagens:

Sage is very cheap, but with it comes a entry level accounting platform. Definately not a Rolls Royce like Microsoft Business Central.

Desvantagens:

Uploading and deleting items and customers and suppliers. Very entry level. This product does not come close to Business Central. Sage is more an accounting platform for third world countries.

Appalling Customer Service

Comentários: I phoned and chatted online with Sage One (Sage Business Cloud?) customer service technical support 8 days ago over an issue and have also emailed them every working day since and they just keep telling me that they have logged the issue and it has been passed to their Development Team. In the meantime I can't send invoices. What's the point in offering 24/7 customer support if they just log the issue and make you wait over a week for a fix?

Vantagens:

Good interaction with payroll and Pension software, banking etc. Easy to use. Can use from any pc.

Desvantagens:

Long list of minor but annoying issues, like it does not accommodate UK net monthly account customers/suppliers, the default dates on functions only show the current month. The only way to avoid the contact name appearing on the invoice address is to put a full stop in the contact name box (so the first line of every invoice is a full stop). Product list doesn't section so you can't add a percentage to one customer or one type of product. Appalling customer service for technical problems.

SAGE BUSINESS CLOUD ACCOUNTING

Comentários: Definitely the way for the future just love to work on this platform. All new clients advised to use Sage Business Cloud Accounting. The package can grow with the company from start up.

Vantagens:

The fact that is cloud base and accessible from anywhere as long as you have internet access. There are apps available to download onto mobile devices. The product is user friendly with guidance on how to use features. Download bank statements and map the expenses to save lots of time in the future.

Desvantagens:

It is sometimes slow depending on internet speed and take a while to download bank statements.

Good solution for the small business owner

Vantagens:

It is fairly easy to use. It provides the basic needs of small business owners. Helps me with their tax prep needs

Desvantagens:

Navigation through the product isn't seamless

I have been using Peachtree Complete Accounting for over 16 years.

Comentários: Easy now to manipulate. I only wish I could input my bank information into Peachtree but it will not except it.

I have been using Peachtree Complete Accounting for over 16 years. It has taken many years to learn because I was never trained on the software.

Desvantagens:

My only issue with Peachtree Complete Accounting with Sage is the customer support. You have to wait hours to speak with someone if there is an issue especially if you call you have to just leave your name and number. During tax season it is impossible to reach someone. I once waited over 4-6 hours to get a response.

5 Star Product

Comentários: I really love Sage Cloud, it is a great piece of software which supports how the industry is moving forward.

Vantagens:

I love how I can connect to Sage from anywhere and manage my client's accounts.

Desvantagens:

I still feel that there are a lot of functions that were available on the desktop version that are not on the cloud version.

On the Wright path

Comentários: Well if you have clients like I do it will make your life easier and more organized

Vantagens:

I first had this software when it was peach tree. It has a ton of features more then you will ever need with the ability to back everything up.

Desvantagens:

It takes time to learn there is so much. I would start using this software has soon had you can. I started using it in the middle of my second year of business back in 2014 and it time some time inputting data but once it's there this software made my life a breeze but you will need to take time to set it up

Sage 300

Comentários: The cloud based accounting solution offers a truly "connected" experience for the end user. Whether you are a salesperson travelling amd entering orders online or a Financial director viewing information while you are sitting in an airport lounge. I believe Sage accounting solutions can truly offer value for money.

Vantagens:

From a customization point of view I think Sage 300 ranks pretty high. Most lager ERP solutions offers a square to plug a round hole.

Desvantagens:

Searching through all the modules for an Invoice and following the flow from AP to GL for example is quite cumbersome. I have had a more positive experience with other ERP solutions as a end user.
