Solid tenant and facility management program! Easy to use, excellent feature set!

Vantagens:

Main, most used features on the left sidebar and the right sidebar makes it easy to keep track of the important tasks and communications. And tech support has been great - fast and efficient!

Desvantagens:

Access to the db for creating local tenant lists would be nice. Also, I'd like the ability to create customized letters, reports, etc., without having to contact support.

A very important and beneficial business decision

Comentários: We really weighed the cost of getting started with this program but just couldn't deny all of the integrated features were pretty important and worthwhile in reducing employee time spent on tasks that would be automatic features with the program. And ultimately, we did away with needing an office employee. So just my wife and I run the office aspects of our storage facilities after our office gal retired. The inital set up was a lot of work for us to get the info needed to set up. And we did have one snafu when setting up the 3rd facility. So there is an unusable business profile on the corporate level that we just have to ignore. But once set up, things have been going pretty smoothly. Honestly, we didn't finish going thru the whole training videos. We started them but got the companies set up and running pretty quickly. And so just jumped right in to using the program to continue to run our storage facilities. So many of the features are so intuitive, there were very few issues that we had to go to the help and search for the answers. And when we had an issue we couldn't figure out, an email response was provided very quickly.

Vantagens:

All of the features available specifically built for the storage industry. The potential time reduction in tasks that the program would automatically do were highly appealing to us. And we were correct and able to reduce employment costs. The help getting professional websites set up was fantastic as well.

Desvantagens:

The cost being a bit higher than other companies that we reviewed and considered gave us pause before jumping in.

I have been unable to log in to my software for going on 48 hours. This is not acceptable. I feel as though [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] in tech support has had more than enough time to get me back on line. Last communication with him was 16 hours ago. Perhaps you are closed on Saturday. If this is the case I would have thought someone would have made this priority as we were down all day yesterday. We had the same problem the day before and it was corrected rather quickly by [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]. Does this not show in our record to maybe assist the next technician? In wrapping up I feel like my case was just swept under the rug and the monkey was being put on my back.

Overall Good Software - Worst Support!

Comentários: Thankfully I have had previous experience with this software so most tings I am able to figure out on my own. But again, the customer service is non existent with this company. The workers who are higher up in the company are nice and respectful, but those that they hire to work in the tech support are just flat out rude with every interaction. Do to the lack of customer service, I would not recommend this software to anyone, because after the completion, with will be reaching out to them often.

Vantagens:

Software is overall easy to use and is straight forward. There are a lot of features to make tasks easier, lots of shortcuts. Overall a great management software with room to grow.

Desvantagens:

For starters, the support is the worst I have ever experienced. The support techs are extremely rude, disrespectful, and if presented an issue beyond basic they pass it off to someone else. The setup process was a nightmare, a lot of information was lost, it was not thoughtfully planned out, and it messed with our business operations for nearly 3 months. The accounting side of the software is a hit or miss, overall it is easy and straightforward, but if there is a mistake, you are not able to make any changes within the system, and you are stuck with having to contact support, who are again, very rude and unhelpful.

Comentários: I love storEDGE. I love that I can take my laptop with me and with an Internet Connection I can visit Family & Friends and "work from home" sort of speak. I like to feel totally in control at all times and storEDGE allows me that I can access my work from anywhere. I love the knowledgeable customer service team. They do a great job. I've used other software's and storEDGE is simple, easy to access what you need and being able to feel connected to our customers is important to me. I like the Communication features. I can text, listen to previous recorded phone calls, and email customers easily from the software. Other software's may have the same features but storEDGE makes maneuvering and accessing these features easily. What's the point of having great features if your Managers can't figure it out? storEDGE makes this process a breeze!

Vantagens:

It's simple. It's easy to use. Customer Service is awesome and included in the price.

Desvantagens:

When you are moving in a customer, you can't easily change the payment due date to be prorated to that specific date if its any day besides the 1st of the month. They use the word "Tenant" which is a bad word. Tenant derides from the word Temporary. Do you want your customers to feel Temporary? Yeah, good luck getting storEDGE to change it. Any really awesome idea that you have, throw it out the window. Storable knows they won the lottery with adding storEDGE to their back pocket. The problem is they refuse to make awesome changes and for this reason they will one day be replaced or become outdated. I have some really good ideas and so does others but in Storable's mind they think they are like the Bible. "You can't add or take away from perfection" and anyone who's read the Bible understands it's not perfect and it's a dang good thing we have additional scripture and personal revelation to guide us through life's perils. storEDGE is Great and dang near Brilliant product but it's number one flaw is they refuse to add great ideas. Get rid of the word Tenant and be open to great ideas from your customers otherwise don't be surprised when another product comes along and kicks you to the curb.

A great software for any Self Storage operator!

Vantagens:

I love the fact it is truly web-based and can be sued on any device anywhere, and that we can access multiple properties quickly and easily form one interface and also see an overview of all facilities in our management portal.

Desvantagens:

Customer service is quick to close any open cases, would like them to make sure everything is set so that I don't have to start another one

Attractive and intuitive user interface paired with frustrating functionality quirks

Vantagens:

The user interface is well designed and intuitive for anyone who has ever used a smartphone. It is easy for site managers to learn and grasp quickly. Reports can be downloaded in various formats for analysis and data manipulation. Customer service is generally friendly and responsive. The management team continually works to improve the product.

Desvantagens:

storEDGE reporting lacks logic from an operational perspective. Their team does not have industry experience and this shows in their product. For example, occupancy reports order units by door width rather than by square footage which makes pricing difficult. Their suggested workaround is to export to Excel then sort which produces a report that is no longer user friendly. Their word processing function is difficult to use and requires the use of third party software to format which itself is challenging and produces poor results. Lastly, as the software is web based, storEDGE is plagued by snail like speeds and links timing out.

Great Product - Always room to improve

Vantagens:

I like the ease of use. I think that the creators of StorEdge truly know how to create a management platform and they customize their platform and reports to the needs of different customers which I think is really impressive because every owner and operator is focusing on different things at the end of the day and have different priorities.

Desvantagens:

While I think that StorEdge has their technology and evolution to keep up with industry standards down pat, I do think they have a long way to go in terms of aligning better with the goals of the industry. They need more storage-centric people who have been in the industry for years and know how the field works in order to become the best.

Comentários: Overall we have been very satisfied with Storedge. It has made it much easier to keep track of delinquent tenants and the amount of automated reminders has increased the amount of our tenants who keep up with their bills.

Vantagens:

Switching from Syrasoft to StorEdge has been like night and day. StorEdge makes our day to day tasks so much simpler and it runs much more efficiently. Just about everything is automated and the software itself is very simple to understand and use. Everything is pretty self explanatory once you get used to where certain settings and tasks are.

Desvantagens:

There are a few aspects of Storedge that leave something to be desired. For instance, the tenant portal is not great. For some reason autopay settings are not anywhere in billing information so tenants have no idea when they update their payment methods that they're being taken off of autopay unless they go to a different part of the site to re-enroll.Also, it was initially very convenient that tenants could update their own contact information until we realized that meant they could also change the name on the account without re-signing a lease, which put us as a facility in a very difficult place legally when it comes to auctions and sending accounts to collections. Unfortunately there's no way to choose what info tenants can and can't update themselves- it's all or nothing.Another thing we think could use improvement would be sending emails. There's no way to see a preview of an email you're going to send a tenant to make sure the auto-fill fields populate correctly unless you send the email first and THEN you can see how it turned out. As far as billing goes, a major issue we recently ran into is that if a tenant is pre-paid months ahead and receives a rate increase, the rate increase will not go into effect until their prepaid credit runs out. If that tenant is consistently paid ahead, the rate increase will just never go into effect.

High Quality Self Storage Managment Software

Vantagens:

storEDGE has everything you need to manage your self storage facility. It also integrates with all the big players in the industry for call centers, online auctions, other rental companies, etc. I love the layout and that it is very user friendly and not complicated to figure out. The automated auction process and mail service makes my life simple.

Desvantagens:

There have been some bugs, but I know that storEDGE is working hard to improve their software and striving to be the best in the industry.

Makes Storage Facility Management simple.

Vantagens:

The best part of StorEDGE is its ease of use. We chose StorEDGE to run our first storage facility and we could not be happier with our choice. The ease with which the program operates makes it extremely simple to onboard new people to use the system. Also, we rarely have billing issues with our tenants as they almost all choose to use the autoplay feature and the ones that do not get email reminders both ahead of all payments that are due and again if they do not pay by the due date. This has been made running a storage facility far less stressful than we were expecting.

Desvantagens:

The only CON would be the mobile site. I wish there was an app to use. My cell phone is huge, so I am able to navigate the site easily, but some other employees struggle a bit using their cell phones.

Comentários: Overall I think to software works great, I haven't had any major problems using it. If you do have any questions, the help desk is a phone call or email away.

Vantagens:

When brand new to this software it was very easy to understand and use. Learning it was no problem. A lot of the things I use on it I was able to figure out on my own after I got the basics down. It really helps having a program that I can rely on to run my facilities. Plus being web based I can use the program from anywhere I can get internet.

Desvantagens:

during the busy time at the beginning of the month the program tends to run a little slow which is understandable due to high volume of usage. It usually will come back up and run smoothly.

Comentários: Switched from stand alone desktop management system (from the industry leader) when we took over this facility. StorEdge product seemed to be best choice given our plans for the facility. We were looking to run this property remotely a good portion of the time as well as streamline all the office functions. A web based system was a must have in our eyes because of the need to manage remotely. Having the ability to combine the management system, website setup/design and online payment was also important as we wanted to drive occupancy and rates up quickly. StorEdge customer service is always quick to respond to queries and provide resolutions. We may quibble with StorEdge over what change or improvement should be given high priority but overall very pleased with their dedication to maintaining a friendly ecommerce experience for the tenant and operator. Newest upgrade of having customers Esign their move in documents is great for smaller facilities that do not maintain office hours all week. Not quite a paperless system yet but moving closer.

Vantagens:

The StorEDGE software is very easy to use and incredibly reliable. Navigation is intuitive and makes finding what you need, when you need it, a snap.

Desvantagens:

My only complaint (and it's a small one) is that there have been times when the UI has been updated and finding specific tabs turns into a hunt.

Comentários: Overall very effective management software, good customization options. Ability to automate many functions like tenant communication, rate management etc. Great integration with website.

Vantagens:

Tenant communication. Rate Management. Web/cloud based. Easy user interface. Overall intuitive to use.

Desvantagens:

Occasional glitches in many parts of the software, billing, tenant communication etc. As the company grew the support staff was overwhelmed and under-trained at times. Issues took longer than anticipated to resolve.

Comentários: When we first started, we were running Storage Commander for our 2 facilities. There were a lot of hang-ups we were having, so when we bought a third site, we new we needed a change. We tried StorEdge out for the new site and quickly realized that it was everything we wanted. With the promise of a facility map and other changes (which have been made and they are sweet!) We switched over a total of 3 sites and 700+ units to StorEdge with hardly any snags. We are very pleased with the software and the developers who are constantly looking for new ways to improve and make the interface more all-inclusive and user friendly. Thank you for always listening, looking for solutions to any problem that comes up, and having a kick-butt team!

Great potential, but doesn't work right, VERY DIFFICULT to navigate in background

Comentários: Was told from the beginning that since they have videos online, they don't have time to spend an hour with each new customer. From set up until now, 6 months later, I am very confused and videos don't help. Now I'm still just as frustrated and it seems like some techs are too.

Vantagens:

Love the texting, emailing, and incoming calls feature!

Desvantagens:

Navigating to set up, change letters is awful! It's very confusing, and VERY DIFFICULT to make any changes, and ALSO who makes it so that you can't put in page breaks?

One of the great features of storEDGE Management Software is the ability to create task lists and notes that can be shared across all users. This ability has made our facility more efficient and boosts communication between our staff members.

If I could say anything about what I personally like the least, it would have to be the fact that we can not click on a tenant's icon picture, to open a close-up of their image. Instead, we have to go through Documents which can take some time to load.

Very user friendly and GREAT customer service

Comentários: storEDGE is very user friendly and intuitive. There are multiple ways to do things, which is helpful and its overall appearance is great. The Customer Service is amazing, I have had more then my fair share of questions and they are always quick to answer and work on issues I may be experiencing. They do consistent updates to the software to continue to improve it and make the user experience for us the business and our tenants better. The only reason for the star reduction is that there have been a few bugs that have taken some time to workout, but nothing I have experienced has made me want to switch to a different software company. If you are looking for a hosted software that is easy to use, looks good, and continues to improve I would highly suggest storEDGE!

Vantagens:

Easy to use, looks great, intuitive, comprehensive, AMAZING customer service, and a total package.

Desvantagens:

Few bugs or limitations, namely in yield management.

Wish we'd never switched

Comentários: If it were easy to transfer data from 1 software to another we wouldn't have stayed w/StorEdge after the 1st few "trial months"
An iPhone app would make a works of difference!

Cloud-based Easy-to-read graphs on dashboard

Desvantagens:

Crashes often Unexplained bugs Tendency not to update (communication between gate software, payment software, etc) The selling point of this product was the cloud-based feature which would enable access from anywhere ... but the desktop doesn't fit onto my iPhone 6screen The "additional contact" under the tenant tab could be formulated in a more visually striking (bold/different color?) format.

It is extremely easy to learn and navigate.

Desvantagens:

Sometimes it's hard to solve a problem on my own using the storEDGE help website. However, the support team is always friendly and accommodating.

Gets easier to use with time...

Comentários: Overall, the software handles the basic daily functions of a self storage facility, it would be a great improvement if they would add a column that showed the last time notes were added to an individuals account on the list and a way of sorting a list by most recently contacted.

Vantagens:

The feature I found to be the most useful is the search field because it searches the entire program for whatever you type in the search box.

Desvantagens:

The software could improve on usability in making it easier to find where you left off in a list you were working from if you have to switch tabs.
