Vantagens:

Para mim o mais importante é gerenciamento de documentos, de fácil acesso e facilita muito no trabalho.

Desvantagens:

O arquivo morto e retenção, acho que precisa de um pouco mais de desenvolvimento.

Good system

Vantagens:

Everything is on one place, it's easy to control documents and manage training

Desvantagens:

It's quite clunky sometimes, for example rejecting documents, managing fbs forms, audit module on it's own

Flexible & Scalable Modern Quality Management System

Comentários: Overall, MasterControl Quality Excellence has been a game-changer for our company as we grow and has helped us stay at the forefront or compliance. It has removed a lot of manual work and given us confidence in regulatory inspections.

Vantagens:

MasterControl Quality Excellence (Qx) gives us the flexibility as a global organization to configure what we need, as we need it, without needing to edit code or re-validate the system. It allows us to manage compliance and track documents (with revision and access control), training, and quality events. In addition the system is hosted in the cloud, so we do not need to maintain our own infrastructure or IT team solely for the software. By being in the cloud, we receive frequent quarterly upgrades with new features, monthly defect patches, and global 24/7 availability. We also utilize the VxT validation tool, which cuts our quarterly upgrade validation time down to hours, and the customer support team is top-notch.

Desvantagens:

There are some quirks to the system that take some learning, but MasterControl has developed an excellent self-study library of courses to help. In addition, the older quality events module presented some configuration limitations that required us to adapt our processes to match MasterControl rather than the other way around. Fortunately, MasterControl's replacement of this module, Advanced Quality Event Management, just launched in 2024 and is alleviating this pain point.

A Decent QMS with room for Improvement

Comentários: A Decent QMS with room for Improvement in Supplier, Audits, Risk Module, Analytics and Registrations

Vantagens:

Doc Management, Training and some aspects of Process module.

Desvantagens:

Majority of the features linked to Supplier Management, Audits, Risk. User Management needs improvement. Analytics. Registrations.

Powerful and Customisable Platform

Vantagens:

Provides a wide range of modules, each of which are highly configurable.

Desvantagens:

Platform is not the most intuitive to use, so can take a while for Users to learn.

Does what it needs

Vantagens:

It’s an all-in-one out of the box solution

Desvantagens:

It can be inflexible and it’s not the most user friendly

Use of MasterControl

Vantagens:

Easy to use for end users and admins I like easy configuration of system and the flexibility

Desvantagens:

Reporting is a little bit difficult, overview on quality tasks is difficult

Nomenclature is hard to understand but once using it’s fine

Comentários: Overall, we are happy and want to grow with MC capability.

MC is willing to continue to update and upgrade their tool.

Desvantagens:

Attrition of Tech Support causes some inconsistencies in support.

MC Qx review

Comentários: It always has been a pleasure to work with the system and all Master Control team. Have been using it for years and it was realy good experience.

Vantagens:

Master Control provides great costumer services. Everything from the kick off to going live is smooth. Very helpful with the new aproaches to the old processes. All questions are answered quickly and in quality. It is very user friendly platform, easy to use and manage.

Desvantagens:

As a global service sometimes it is harder to get a new needed for specific company feature added. But not impossible.

MasterControl Quality Excellence

Comentários: Overall, my experience with MasterControl has been very positive. From the product to the overwhelming customer support, if we don't have what we need it is probably because we don't understand or know about all the capabilities or haven't implemented a module yet.

Vantagens:

We currently use docs and training and having all of that automated has been super helpful. Tracking metrics around training and docs has been much easier with data that can be downloaded at any time. Time spent chasing down training has been significantly reduced and has made the quality team more effective overall.

Desvantagens:

With the modules we currently use, I wish classes worked a little better. They are a bit difficult to set up and don't seem to integrate well with employee calendars, so extra invites are sent outside of MasterControl.

MasterControl's Robust InfoCard System Shines, While JReports Falls Short in Managing Large Datasets

Vantagens:

MasterControl offers a robust InfoCard system that spans across various modules, enhancing the overall user experience. Document InfoCards effectively consolidate document files and associated metadata, providing a comprehensive overview, including document number, type, subtype, and custom fields

Desvantagens:

Unfortunately, my experience with jReports leaves much to be desired, particularly in its ability to handle large volumes of data. As someone who regularly deals with datasets comprising millions of lines, I found JReports to be quite inadequate in meeting the demands of such extensive data processing.

The software is structured to incentive standardization.

Desvantagens:

The software is slow sometimes and the GUI can act strangely.

Daily User / Master Control Administrator

Comentários: I have setup, maintained and used multiple training database systems, this one is very basic and for the most part user friendly. The reports needs to be more user friendly. There are multiple sites within my company that use Master Control and there have been issues with Master Control billing that has let to time wasting activities.

Vantagens:

Master Control is a user friendly, real time data management system.

Desvantagens:

There are 2 cons to Master Control (both reports related); running reports is NOT user friendly and report layout is not detailed enough.

MasterControl

Comentários: Frustrating more than anything, primarily relating the cons listed. I inherited the system in a state that would have worked well on a small scale during initial adoption, but was completely unmanageable at scale. After years of cleanup, it's working better for us, but the system still leaves much to be desired, and after 5+ years of using it 5 days/week, I can tell you not a day has gone by that we don't experience a bug. Fortunately, they're rarely critical. As stated in the cons, it gets a passable performance, though it could be easily improved if they took the time to do so.

Vantagens:

The best feature of MasterControl as a whole is the process module. Process module allows custom electronic form development and allows custom routing for those forms. While it can be improved, it's a great tool, and in my opinion, MasterControl and most customers are not realizing its potential, but we do. 80% of our records are generated in the process module.

Desvantagens:

There are a number of factors that all seem to coalesce to create a system that can easily become unmanageable. Those are poor documentation related to best practices that isn't easy to find or well communicated by MasterControl, lackluster support, and an already confusing user platform with a generally poor user experience. There are number of small improvements that could be made that would greatly improve user experience, but MasterControl rarely seems to develop enhancements. I've used several versions over the years, and in most cases, the user experience got worse, not better. Providing clearer/more readily accessible documentation, better support and recommendations for admins during initial setup, and making some small quality of life changes would really go a long way. With that said, that software meets all baseline requirements in satisfactory way.

QMS - High Standard

Vantagens:

I love the interconnectedness of the modules so I can have complete picture of my company's QMS and the ability to automate processes that were done manually in the past, i.e., periodic review, release and archiving of documents, deployment of training once the effective date is set for a document, being able to pull reports on data in the system.

Desvantagens:

It can bit overwhelming if you are not in the system everyday and not the most usee friendly experience at the moment for basic users.

Paper to MasterControl user

Comentários: Excellent, we are going into Mx in 2024

Vantagens:

Ease to use and customize, being able to track progress and audit trail

Desvantagens:

It took a bit of time to create the base line for migrating all doc from previous platform

Quirky, But Gets the Job Done

Comentários: Overall it's fine. Always room for improvement! But it works.

Vantagens:

I like how customers are able to configure many things on their own, as opposed to submitting a ticket each time something needs to be configured a different way.

Desvantagens:

There are some round-about ways of doing things. Guest user set-up, for example, is not done like regular users. If you go to the list of Guests, there's no "+" to add a new Guest user. Instead, you have to find a collaboration step in your tasks somewhere, then modify step, then click "Add Guest" (which also doesn't make sense because you're not adding them to this step), then fill out the guest user's information to create the Guest's credentials.

Training perspective

Vantagens:

The Training module is what I use regularly and the ease of the training checkpoint makes life easier when rolling out and maintaining company-wide training.

Desvantagens:

Small features that master control doesn’t have that would be very helpful, such as the ability to abort training instead of grandfathering when it’s not required.

Broad Quality Management System.

Comentários: Quality records are easy to maintain.

Vantagens:

Applicable throughout our company. Easy to develop forms as work-flows.

Desvantagens:

Training does not allow for open-ended review and comment. Exams are limited to multiple choice, true/false, matching, sequencing or numeric answers only.Users can be added to tasks without having roles assigned by a system administrator.

Great tool, but takes some time to master

Vantagens:

It connects many aspects of quality and it can be greatly accessed remotely.

Desvantagens:

At some points it's not self explanatory.

Review of MasterControl Quality Excellence

Comentários: Good. However, some terminology can be difficult to understand.

Vantagens:

Once set up it was easy to use. The workflows are set up very well that the documents always route correctly.

Desvantagens:

FBS system very hard to set up A lot of built in templates e.g. NCR, Dev, CAPA etc does not suit all business needs. Cannot customize unless have AQEM
