Comentários: Veeam is a reference in backup solution for VM. We can have a lot of support. and is easy to use

Vantagens:

- Easy to use - Quick setup to be ready - Really intuitive - Lot of features - Great performances and stability - Have free products and low cost licensing

Desvantagens:

- licensing confusing for large deployment - be expensive for large infrastructure - need large ressources

Veeam Backup & Replication is our still our go-to backup software in the SMB/SMC customer base.

Comentários: Veeam local support for new business is outstanding.
Renewal support is not local, but is sufficient.
Overall, VBR is a great product, and used in the majority of our customer base.

Vantagens:

Veeam Ent Plus licensing is an end-to-end solution. Very easy to install, setup and use. Excellent local support.

Desvantagens:

The new licensing model is difficult to migrate to for those customers on STD and ENT existing agreements. Pricing has increased drastically for the "Per VM" model. No agent licensing for small sites with standalone servers.

Comentários: The best solution for backup of virtual environments, expecially with VMWare and disk backup; good also the around of components and agents. Need a bit of old legacy systems for be the best.

VEEAM is very configurable and has lots of available features to use. Everything works very well.

Desvantagens:

Without proper training, learning to use the software can be a little daunting of a task. Lots of features and options that can seem overwhelming to the untrained eye

Great replication for DR

Comentários: Easy to setup and then it just works. We've not had any issues. Restores are fast and easy to complete.

Vantagens:

It is simple to use. The jobs are easy yo manage and in job monitoring and reports are good.

Desvantagens:

It is expensive in comparison to others especially for some the advanced features.

Veeam Data Platform provides some of the most consistent quality on the market

Vantagens:

Rock solid software that performed VM Backups to various backup media types all with reliability that is unrivaled. The option for reverse incremental backups helps save time and data transfer amounts by creating an initial backup and then backing up the changes nightly. Very good software and their tech support was always easy to work with.

Desvantagens:

Occasionally we would have configuration issues, but their tech support would always iron out any issues we were having.

Integration with Windows. Plethora of options. Extensible with add-ons. Very quick.

Easily Usable Backup Tool

Vantagens:

Easy to use. Process of backup configuration is also in a proper manner. For beginner, it is a very good n proper tool for host based backup configuration.

Desvantagens:

Most important con is we only take the backup of VM which size has been less than 1 TB.

Full featured product

Vantagens:

Products is on market from many years, it is widely used. It's very stable and it includes pretty much all features you can need from a Backup solution, including all Replica functions, application-aware (crash consistent) backup. Enterprise license includes also additional advanced features. It supports also public cloud backups (ex. AWS, 365)

Desvantagens:

Licensing for small companies is a little expensive.

Vantagens:

La facilidad con la que se planifican las copias y poder guardarlo donde quieras y como quieras... Repositorios compartidos, en local, inmutables, s3 u otros cloud... Todo facilidades y de la misma manera para las recuperaciones

Desvantagens:

Nada destacable ahora mismo, llevo usando la herramienta des de antes de la v.8 y no hacen más que evolucionar y dar facilidades

Vantagens:

Veeem is one of the best cloud storage providers because it looks like a real server and works well with all computers, tablets, and mobile devices as well as with all operating systems. Veeem uses a strong encryption system, requires checking and 2FA authentication to enter the data storage area, as well as allows us to organize permissions by adding a password to some files so that we can control those who can recover and modify them. We can schedule data copies to prevent file loss in all cases, as well as synchronize smoothly with all devices associated with Veeem, which enables us to access and share files easily.

Desvantagens:

With Veeam, I have not encountered many downsides, as system failures are uncommon and easily remedied when they do occur.

Superb features

Comentários: The installation is super straight forward.
The Agents deployment is automatic.
It help me to be very fast in restoring at file level.

Vantagens:

The Jobs doesn't clash with each other. It also has a cool feature that scans virtual machine with antivirus before restoring back to production. Also, you can recover as low as a single file.

Desvantagens:

for now, I have not seen something to improve on or maybe the interface to look more friendly.

Vantagens:

It is a very easy to use, grate monitoring, it does backup and replication at a good price

At this moment, I have not found any complains from my admins.

Excellent backup solution for any SMB

Comentários: Very fast recovery time for any DR solution.

Vantagens:

The biggest pros of this backup solution is its diversity of platform which it can backup. Based on the license bought you can backup any VmWare or Hyper-V virtual machine but it also features a client that can be installed on any platform and can do the file level backup. The coolest feature is the restore where you can using the client do the restore within the machine itself and go back to all available restore points and have many version of the same file that you want to restore. It supports the backup of the SQL databases within the VM itself and it is also prefer for the backup of Microsoft Exchange as it can pull out for example only the desired email from any specific mailbox which is a big plus.

Desvantagens:

The solution it self is not cheap but it is justified with the professional support who, except contacting you via the email, also gives you a phone call if they dont get the replay from you any time soon. Other con is that it really requires a lot of HDD space, but then it is an enterprise level backup solution so this is self understandable.

Comentários: Perfect solution for backing up locally, to tape, to DR, and to Amazon GS.

Vantagens:

Tech team is knowledgeable and friendly. Quick to respond. Will follow-up on all cases. Software works well, and easy to manage. Clients can be installed for even further management and monitoring capability. Really easy to get a job configured and running.

Desvantagens:

About the only issue I have found thus far is how difficult it can be to stop jobs should they ever become stuck. Have to stop the Veeam service, then start it again. Stopping "Gracefully" or "Immediately" will not do anything.

Comentários: This is an excellent backup solution. We struggled before this product and are thankful that we found something that is so easy to manage and maintain.

Vantagens:

Veeam is so intuitive, I don't know how to express how simple it is to set up backup jobs that run on a regular basis and GFS backups are now super easy to create and impliment.

Desvantagens:

Some of the errors that we get are cryptic from Veeam and I wish that they made a little more sense off the bat when you see them to clearly understand what went wrong, but support is fantastic from veeam, so I can't complain too much here.

VM data Backup and Replication - taken backup of data and can easily restore whenever required,we are doing VM Data Migration form one cluster to another with help of Backup Data.

Comentários: Having no issues so far with anything Veeam has to offer.

Vantagens:

The single pane of glass aspect of having One and B&R.

Desvantagens:

Pricing is a bit of a jab in your side once they changed to a per core model.

Veeam has a been a very great addition to our team. Very easy to setup and use.

Comentários: Easy to perform backups. Easy to restore from backups. Easy to implement software and servers. My old backup system was hard to restore from and would take awhile. Veeam is quick to restore from backup.

Vantagens:

Very easy to one click and spin up a backup if a server dies. I also love how if you need more space you can very simply attach storage.

Desvantagens:

some updates are not as easy to preform as stated. Sometimes when running updates its not as straight forward as they said.
