Sobre Submittable
Software de gerenciamento de solicitação/envio flexível e intuitivo. Colete, colabore, avalie e gere relatórios sobre qualquer tipo de conteúdo digital.
This product makes it incredibly easy to submit work to journals for submission. The tool is straightforward and intuitive.
But these are more feature ideas, nothing that I'd consider negative about the existing product.

Submittable has made our publishing experience enjoyable, rather than laborious.
Vantagens:
Its ease of use makes it a joy to work with: it's a clearinghouse, a reply tool, and an organizational tool all in one.
Desvantagens:
As it has in the past two years, I'm sure it will continue to improve it's functionality in a few of its features. For example, I'd like our readers/editors to be able to receive submissions immediately instead of me having to assign everything, but remain on a blind level, and also not be able to decline the work, just leave notes as they currently can.
A solid management system for grant applications
Comentários: Overall we've been pleased with Submittable because of its features and capabilities, but the prices is intimidating. That being said, we've felt that it is comparable with other similar services out there.
Vantagens:
Submittable's application forms are very customizable and they allow for a multi-step application process and submitting grant reports. We're able to create customized reports and export the data easily, although there is a bit of a learning curve to set up the reports. Collaboration is built-in, allowing reviewers and admins to leave notes for each other and see reviews. We also liked that that collaboration can be locked down so that applicants can either see or not see that feedback. The implementation team that worked with us was great and provided very valuable training as part of our implementation project.
Desvantagens:
We've found the email's generated by Submittable have formatting issues and are often blocked by anti-spam software, so there have been some deliverability issues and some problems with reading the system-generated emails. The development team is aware of the issue (for 2 years) but nothing seems to have been done about it. Documentation is limited, and they charge for support after your initial setup period. We end up having to pay for 10 extra user licenses for our grant reviewers beyond the 2 months those licenses are really used. This is because only 10 user licenses are available in our subscription tier, and you can only purchase extra licenses in block of 10 (not individually). So far, Submittable has worked with us on the pricing to be affordable but it would be nice to have the option of adding on temporary licenses for reviewers, or even not having to pay for that level of user since they are typically only needed for 1-2 months.
Submittable is user-friendly, but only for applicants.
Vantagens:
The product is easy for applicants to use, with simple forms and clear application guidelines. Generally, we have had many applicants have no issues while applying, which is definitely a positive about the platform.
Desvantagens:
For administrative staff who work grant programs on the back-end, features such as advanced reporting are sorely lacking. It's difficult to build these reports and pull through the data you need. Additionally, there are many small issues that Submittable merely provides "work-arounds" for, rather than solving problems. For example - tables that are put directly into an application form export as a separate file, and then would need to be merged in order to package applications. While the platform might make the process of applying smooth for applicants, there seem to always be headaches for our staff when processing applications afterwards.

It works!
Comentários: It is easy for our applicants to use and our support staff to modify.
Vantagens:
Submittable really does the job for what we need it for most- reviewing grant applications. We have a diverse and busy review team and this tool allows them to do their work efficiently.
Desvantagens:
Although it is fairly simple to use, it is not entirely intuitive. Some of our users have required a bit of coaching to make it work for them.

Submittable: The Go-To Contest Submission Playform
Comentários: Using Submittable seriously cuts down on the amount of troubleshooting or user error, thereby saving us time.
Vantagens:
Submittable is very easy to use both on the end of the administrator and the individual submitting. People who have used it a lot or are only using it for the first time all express ease at getting their submissions in.
Desvantagens:
There are only a limited number of times that you can export your data per month on the basic plan.

Great flexibility for building a workflow for grant management
Vantagens:
I like the transparency and the ease with which we were able to implement the software into our grant management procedure. The forms are easy to build, I can create a lot of them to cover the gaps for subsequent applicant communication. We were also able to do blind review to eliminate biases and separate groups of reviewers with different sets of questions.
Desvantagens:
1) The number of seats comes expensive. As a charity, we have a pool of scientific volunteers who give back to the community by reviewing grants with us. But with the limited number of seats, we had to narrow down the pool to the bare minimum and restructure the whole review process in order to fit in our tight budgets. 2) There isn't an open API available for us to integrate into our mobile app. There is only a read-only API that we were able to connect to but it gives limited connectivity and doesn't allow us to sync the internal grant management process with external-facing community commitments.
Why Use Submittable
Vantagens:
1. Submittable is user-friendly. 2. Preparing to receive new documents for new projects is not time-consuming. 3. Submittable makes it easy to reach a broader audience by making projects searchable within the platform. 4. Readable for users. 5. Ability to generate reports.
Desvantagens:
1. Window to reply to submitters is too small. 2. Difficult to deactivate payment feature if a submitter has paid.
We've used Submittable from the early days of its inception and absolutely love it.
Comentários: Efficiency
Vantagens:
The software is intuitive and saves us tons of time. Customer support is always there quickly when we need something or have a question. We literally could not run our journal without it. It allows me to manage a large and complex team and hundreds of submissions at a time in pretty simple form.
Desvantagens:
Trying to view and work with the submission on the iPad is a little more clunky than I would like, but not a show stopper. I mostly use the desktop.
Grant management
Comentários: Generally a good experience with Submittable.
Vantagens:
Ease of use for applicants, volunteer reviewers, and administrators.
Desvantagens:
Not being able to talk live with support when needed. I really don't like that.
Love the Ease of Sumittable
Comentários: We've loved our experience with the Submittable team. They system and the team continue to impress us.
Vantagens:
Great Customer Service - and ease of the system for both applicant and reviewer are fantastic
Desvantagens:
wish they had a more comprehensive CRM - which this is in the beta stage, it doesn't work for us because we do not require our applicants to have a UEI or be a non-profit.
Submittable makes life easier. As an independent literary organization, we find value in this tool.
Comentários: We save time.
Vantagens:
What we like most about Submittable is that it allows us to manage submissions more efficiently. I'm not a fan of documents and tasks "living in email." Having a robust product like Submittable saves us time in reading and replying, as well as offering a way to capture and analyze submission data. I cannot imagine handling hundreds of submissions at a time via email, especially with a large reading panel. The built-in tools, such as sorting, labels, varying permission levels, templates, etc. allow us to customize it for our needs. I should add that any time we had a question, customer service responded right away, sometimes within minutes. Even over holidays. What did we do before Submittable? Seriously! What. Did. We. Do?
Desvantagens:
There aren't any major cons with Submittable. I'd love some more robust reporting and sorting features and maybe custom permission levels, as there are a few things I'd like to do, but cannot. For example, I'd love to see team member data by specific category, not just by a duration of time. But these are more feature ideas, nothing that I'd consider negative about the existing product. If I had to say one thing, since our reading panel (the ones who use the software) has a varying level of comfort with tech tools that maybe some of the icons could be more intuitive.
Not entirely intuitive, but doable for digital immigrants. "Chat" folks are responsive & helpful.
Comentários: Ease of receiving submissions, as opposed to the manual email system we had in place. Also the ability to link donations as an option when paying. It's a timesaver in processing submissions that allows us to get right to the content, rather than shuffling emails back and forth to our editors.
Vantagens:
It works VERY well for receiving, tracking, reviewing literary submissions. So organized. Helps our statewide editorial team stay connected for working and communicating. Tutorial and articles are helpful tools when setting this up.
Desvantagens:
"Up ad running in 15 minutes"? Not likely. Big down side, is that it is EXPENSIVE for non profits, despite the discount. Monthly plans ding you bigtime for signer and submission allotments. We use Premium plan, the next step up is a GIANT leap up in price but also benefits. But we cannot afford that. I would like to see a product for bonafide all-volunteer non-profits with small budgets. Arts organziations are struggling these days.
I love Submittable!
Comentários: As I learn more about the software and the tools you have, it really has made the process overall from launch of the scholarship season, to the close and then the information from the system is essential for marketing to potential future donors.
Vantagens:
I am very used to having to learn new software, through out my positions in the last several years. The reason I love Submittable, not because it's easy for me, BUT BECAUSE it's easy for submitters and judges to use. If I had to review the how-to's prior to every season to a new set of judges, it would take so much time and energy. That only is worth the fees we pay!
Desvantagens:
I do wish the forms had a little more ability to make them a bit prettier to look at. The size of the fonts is either super small, or HUGE. It would be nice to make the page look a bit prettier and closer in line with our branding.
Robust workflow,
Comentários: Quick response and helpful for the most part. I have heard of a few colleagues across the org, not as lucky in getting timely responses and help on their forms. As noted above, poor communication in some cases.
Vantagens:
The robust workflow and ease of creating and editing/adjusting the application form are the best feature from our perspective. Little to no need for in-house IT support.
Desvantagens:
Reporting (exporting applicant/form data) is not intuitive but fudgeable. I've grdaully learned to make it work... kind of.We also have several separate Submittable contracts across our org, but we have not been bundled to provide greater cost savings across our groups as would seem more than fair considering the amount of business we give this platform. Also, I've heard from other colleagues that the account manger tends to change frequently, sometime with no notice or handoff.
The people who work at Submittable are knowledgeable, good-natured, and GENUINELY helpful.
Comentários: Submittable WORKS, and their customer support is unbeatable!
Vantagens:
Submittable can handle so many different document types that we never could ourselves. They listen when we have suggestions/requests. Everything can be tracked - no more lost manuscripts! They've made it possible for us to offer books at the same time someone makes a submission, a great option for us. And they can issue refunds with ease.
Desvantagens:
Searches (especially across a lot of categories) sometimes are a bit slow, but we do have a LOT of categories and a LOT of submissions for the software to sort through. We're so glad to have Submittable, a respectable and caring group that has the ability to keep up with technology challenges so we can do the work we love doing.
Grant Management is a breeze!
Vantagens:
We were nervous about starting this grant program because of the intensity of the management process. Submittable makes gathering, reviewing, and managing applicants and grantees easy!
Desvantagens:
I do wish there was a way to organize all of the information in Submittable (as is, I have many spreadsheets going simultaneously).
Great versatile software
Comentários: We have used Submittable to collect forms for auditions and I like that the faculty and coaches are able to review and evaluate the student in the platform. We have also used it to collect event information.
Vantagens:
I like that you can use this platform for any different reasons and you can create many different forms so that you can really customize them for the right purpose.
Desvantagens:
At the moment there is not anything I dislike.
This product is easy to use and indispensable to my writing endeavors
Vantagens:
It's ease of use. Straightforward layout. Very user friendly. I like the app. Allows me to organize my submissions to literary journals and keep track of when I need to submit them before deadlines.
Desvantagens:
The navigation within the new "Following" area. I feel like there should just be a direct submit button rather than a "save" button. Right now I find myself having to go to a drop down menu up top to get to the submissions page. This is an easy fix though.
Submittable is always there and always ready, everything exactly as I left it.
Vantagens:
I have many hundreds of ideas to make literature a better place, but before Submittable I was always bogged down by logistics. Not only was the world not ready for me--I also wasn't ready for the world. As multi-point to one point organizational tool it is indispensable to me. I have hours more in my day to dream, and now with two interns, everyone better watch out.
I'm sure it's fantastic for what it is intended for...
Comentários: I'm lukewarm when it comes to my overall experience with the tool. I think the biggest issue is that we're not using it for it's true intended purpose and therefore lack a lot of customization and functionality that doesn't exist. Not necessarily a knock on the software, but perhaps a knock on the sales team for allowing organizations to use their products beyond what it's intended for.
Vantagens:
I am a fan of the form builder, labeling, and rating/review systems that are built in with the tool.
Desvantagens:
I don't think it's best used for tracking applicants across multiple cycles/pools, and the analytics section is quite cumbersome compared to other SAAS platforms I've used in the past.
Submittable Best Option of Several Grant Management Softwares Reviewed
Comentários: As a small foundation we were looking for an affordable yet robust grant management software solution that would help us to automate our grant management processes, workflows, etc. Out-of-the-box Submittable was a great solution for us and they even went above and beyond to find workable solutions for our specific needs (multi-language support, etc.). Also, their on-boarding process and customer support has been tremendous.
Vantagens:
Relative to other grant management software solutions we looked at Submittable was the most modern and professional in terms of look/feel and the easiest to use both from an administrator perspective and grantee perspective. Plus, Submittable was by far the most affordable solution and offered the best value for money in our opinion.
Desvantagens:
The only real downside was in terms of features/functionality; Submittable does not offer automated initial screening of applications. With that said, however, we were able to meet our specific business requirements with branching and Submittable was always willing to help us find workable solutions.
Very usable helps our work flow so much! We love Submittable :)
Vantagens:
Helps us organizationally and is a fundamental part of our business. Easy to use and intuitive, we also have a lot of people on our team using it as well.
Desvantagens:
Sometimes the speed lags from page to page or it updates slowly. Usually it works really well but occasionally it slows down and slows the word day down.
Submittable for Renewable Energy
Comentários: The people are super helpful and the onboarding experience.
Vantagens:
This product is really easy to use and is super intuitive. The reporting feature has made it so much easier for our external reporting process.
Desvantagens:
There are a few features that are lacking. We wish there was a way to weight the scores/questions. It would also be nice if the people who are writing the letter of reference could actually see the application.
Submittable review
Comentários: For our initial needs, it works great, but it is expensive for what we do with it.
Vantagens:
I started it three years ago, and it is very user-friendly. Has helped our group grant, review team.
Desvantagens:
For what we use it for (3 grants) it is very expensive.
Online Submissions Are the Future
Comentários: Many publishers use Submittable as a way to accept manuscript queries or submissions. There are several advantages to the author. Once you have an account, you can access all of your submissions. That makes it easier to find things again, versus e-mail submissions. And it's faster and cheaper than submitting through the mail, which many publishers don't even accept anymore.
Vantagens:
When submitting queries or manuscripts to publishers, this is a relatively fast and easy method. Because the publisher sets up the fields they want, it's easy to know what you need to include, and where to put it.
Desvantagens:
The text windows are small, so when you paste in large blocks of text, you have to scroll to double check or change things.
