Reliable backup product, excellent support

ease deployment fast and qualified support, meaning that issues were sorted out right away (in my case via dial in)

Comentários: I was looking for an alternative to a very popular american backup software, because their support quality and license policies were quite disappointing. There are not many options out there which are fairly priced yet professional and quick enough for my demands. Macrium Reflect meets those requirements perfectly so far, and I am very confident that there will be no problems should desaster ever strike. It is user friendly, works quickly and yet has all the options that a semi-pro with a home office environment like me could wish for.

Vantagens:

Abundant options, fair pricing, streamlined and transparent UI and backup creation. Backs up very quickly. Easy and flawless creation of desaster recovery media.

Desvantagens:

That i did not discover it sooner. No bugs or issues found so far, but have been only using it for a week.

Comentários: Please see above. as an added addendum. After I cloned with the other software. I once again tried "Reflect". I received the same GD error code 9. I went with Reflect because I did a ton of research on it before I downloaded and installed. I mean.... a TON.
I'm baffled as to why Reflect fails and the others work.

As stated above the install and setup for cloning was easy, simple and quick. But that's as far as it went. I received an error 9 code. OK, no big deal, Right ?!? Well.... I tried every fix and troubleshooting technique. Nothing worked. Spent nearly 2 days-researching, reading , watching every possible scenario that would cause this particular error. Used every method to attempt to remediate my situation. I even used a 3rd party software(pro version). No errors could be found on the drive....yet I kept getting an error 9. So......What am I missing ? here's the kicker guys........... I finally gave up and tried a different cloning software. And guess what........ It went without a hitch. Cloned on the first attempt. So.... I ask again..... What am I missing here ?

Excellent and reliable backup software for Windows to restore your system and data

Comentários: From my standpoint it is the most reliable backup software I've ever used.
It restores your complete system not just your data.
Now they just need to fix the licensing issue which can be problematic particularly with the home version.

Vantagens:

I was using another product to backup Windows some 5 years ago which was never reliable in restoring backups. There would be intermittent blue screens whenever you plugged in a USB external drive while it was doing its 30–60-minute backup. With Macrium Reflect there has never been an issue with reliability of backups. It has improved from version 7 to the recent release of X in speed of backup to the point I can backup and verify a 100 gb C drive in less than 5 minutes (using USB4). It can restore your system, from scratch, in just a few minutes more. It can create a Windows PE bootable USB to restore, backup or fix boot problems with Windows

Desvantagens:

Paramount Software has instituted, like many software vendors, a yearly licensing fee which has its quirks, and the pressure will be on them to either develop another product or make it worth the user's money to pay yearly in order to upgrade with each release. In my view access to their excellent support is worth that fee.

Macrium Reflect is the BEST

Comentários: see above! I've done COUNTLESS image restores and individual file recoveries using Macrium. It's a lifesaver!

Vantagens:

Macrium is a great company and Reflect is a great product, been using it for years, to back up all my personal & work-based PCs and Servers. Couldn't live without it, it has saved our bacon so many times!!

Desvantagens:

Key & subscription management could be more friendly, as could deployment, but overall the product is full featured and extremely robust and stable.

Comentários: Worry was out of the picture, except for that damn singular serial number, But I am a lowly grunt, so what me worry.

It works damn near every time except for 1 small repetitive glitch

The Best PC Imaging Software

Comentários: Very positive. They are one of the few software companies still offering perpetual licensing and keeping their products at reasonable prices.

Vantagens:

Extremely consistent PC imaging software that is also very fast! The ability to make bootable rescue media to repair or re-image failing PCs has empowered our technicians to get way more issues fixed with fewer trips.

Desvantagens:

No cons come to mind, I've been satisfied with Macrium's products.

Macrium Reflect Workstation provides great “Set & Forget” backups for businesses concerned about their data

Comentários: Our overall experience has been fantastic with Macrum Reflect. Once you get past the learning curve that new users experience the software is pretty much “Set & Forget”. We have had a couple weird issues here and there but did eventually figure them out. The backups are quite fast and having ransomware protection to restrict the backup partition to only be accessible by Macrium Reflect is also critical to my business. Hyper-V booting of backup images is also useful during disaster recovery operations where the physical computers are not present or were destroyed

It doesn't give notice when it stops doing backups because Windows says it's now on a different machine.

Macrium is the best option to backup!! we recovered data many times with this excellent tool

Comentários: Many times users delete their own files or folders, so we recover them easy with this tool, avoiding them to do all the work again. For IT is good to stay relaxed, because there are backups running always.

Vantagens:

This tool is easy to use, the deployment is easy, also the schedules to create the backup, just need to take your time to do this once, after that is not going to be a weekly or daily tool to use. Good time to recover or get information from backups created. Also works for databases in SQL.

Desvantagens:

No cons with it, it works great, maybe to stay more secured with the access have a second step sign in

Macrium Reflect - don't leave home - or stay home - without it!

Comentários: I've just returned from a holiday, and I remember that just before I left I heard of a new version of Macrium. I'll be looking into it over the next couple of days. I haven't read the specs so I don't know what changes were made, but I'll probably switch to the new version even if it's only available as a subscription product. I wouldn't want to be without the backups that Macrium Reflect provides.

Vantagens:

I have rarely had a problem retrieving stuff from backups. I do a full backup of my Windows C drive once a week onto an external drive, and differential backups daily. I keep three full backups. The main backups are 300Gb and more. Now and again, when something goes wrong and I need to retrieve a file from the backup, it's a simple process that takes very little time.

Desvantagens:

I don't have anything bad to say about Macrium Reflect. It just works! That's really all there is to say about it.

Macrium Reflect software is wonderful!

Comentários: Reflect Workstation has been very easy to use and demonstrated its potential when we had to recover our system (all hard drives and partitions) completely. Macrium has proven to be a partner we can trust!

Vantagens:

The ease of installation, setup, operation (manual and scheduled backups), and backup/restoration. Since operating backup software is not something most people do every day, the straightforwardness of the Reflect software makes life easier!

Desvantagens:

The two least-favorite aspects of the software include the backup time (though Reflect X improves the speed of the backup process) and authorizing licenses on machines without network connectivity.

Comentários: Customer service is a bit slow, it takes a while for support messages to be answered, but everything is fine, eventually we manage to find the job.

Vantagens:

The most important thing is that you can make backups on computers that are not connected to the external Internet (offline). This is very helpful in organizations.

Desvantagens:

That it is not possible to reset licenses in Site Manager and transfer them to another computer

Comentários: I think that an exercise that would verify access to backed up data would make your customers more comfortable with the product. Without this a client can only hope that data will be recoverable when needed.

Technician backup solution

Comentários: It’s been great. My needs are simple. I don’t use it for enterprise-wide backups, deployments etc. I just need it to clone the hard drives of company equipment running Linux and occasionally backup my laptop. Runs great and is easy to use. I’ve convinced others on my team to use Macrium as well.

Vantagens:

Ease of use without having to learn a complicated clone program with a zillion options only an expert would understand.

Desvantagens:

No cons at all!

Make and Image with Ease.

Comentários: Using Macrium Workstation was a little trying at first because I was not familiar with the difference between an image and a clone. I was also very cautious not to overwrite my laptop operating system until I noticed you put the windows logo next to windows based operating systems representing my laptop. Really appreciate that. I recommend this software highly.

Vantagens:

I like the fact that its easy to use. The dashboard is intuitive and its output is reliable. I am able to take an image of a drive that could take me 2 to 3 days to configure manually and restore it to a drive and be operating within an hour.

Desvantagens:

I have not figured out yet how to clone or image a UNIX based solid state drive using Macrium and was forced to use a software having to boot in another operating system to do it. If you could add this feature I would be indebted.

Macrium Reflect - small enterprise

Comentários: I have purchased several licenses for Macrium Reflect Workstation, one for my personal use and two more for our organization. I have had excellent success with Macrium Reflect and would very much recommend this application.

Vantagens:

Macrium Reflect has proven to be an extremely cost effective means for creating and managing computer system images. The ability to quickly download a stored image to a system or to a blank hard drive or solid state drive has reduced the turn around time for reimaging computers to no more than the amount of time it takes to swap out the hard drive. We do keep spare, fully imaged drives on the shelf for each of the models of computer that we have in the enterprise. Once an image has been created and stored on our image server, we can image a 500GB SSD in less than 3 minutes. Traditional hard disk drives can be imaged in about 12 minutes. The application is extremely easy to use and the interface is intuitive enough for novice users.

Desvantagens:

I would like for the business and workstation versions to be able to image multiple drives simultaneously. This feature appears to be available only with the Deployment Kit, which has a price of $3250 per license.
