Sobre Apache OpenOffice
Pacote aberto de produtividade que permite que usuários produzam cartas, apresentações multimídia, diagramas, ilustrações 3D e muito mais.
It's a complete software that fully replaces the Microsoft Office pack... and for free!!! I like its interface, the fact that it's easy to use and the possibility to use shortcuts.
Customer service is a bit lacking but at the worst case Open Office can easily be reloaded. On occasion when sharing with other spreadsheets becomes a bit difficult.

Needed Free Office Software for Nonprofit - OpenOffice was great for my needs for years
Bom Software
Vantagens:

OpenOffice is a professional and Free option for Office Suite Software
Comentários: I first started using OpenOffice when working for a cash strapped non-for-profit. I recommended this as an alternative to the licensed software. I have never looked back. The only time I use licensed software (The big M) is when the organization I'm working for has purchased an enterprise license. I have used OpenOffice professionally for over 10 years!
Vantagens:
OpenOffice is free and available to anyone. I can collaborate with someone that does not have access to licensed software or someone that does. This software can read, edit and store in their own file formats or the format of a very well known licensed software. I have used this software personally and in a work environment.
Desvantagens:
Every once in a while, some macros or PowerPoint features will not translate well. It has been a few years since I've encountered any translation issues, but some may still exist.
OpenOffice a Great License Free Choice
Comentários: Good. Its been stable and supports multi platforms
Vantagens:
License Free and quite flexible and supports multi OS
Desvantagens:
Doesn't support later versions of Microsoft

A fine office suite for most, but honestly you might as well use LibreOffice instead
Vantagens:
Works fine for the most part, but it's getting on in age, and honestly you're better off using LibreOffice - a spinoff of the OpenOffice project which is much more up to date.
Desvantagens:
Not compatible with high DPI screens, not compatible with MS Office .*x files
Open Office: an open source oasis in a desert of corporate cash grab products
Vantagens:
The vast array of capabilities while being free! I've used OpenOffice for years for multiple jobs for multiple companies. Open Office is extremely easy to use, and as I get older, easier to use because MicroSoft Word keeps changing and OpenOffice's UI remains as a "classic interface." Its easy to have multiple computers in the office use OO because of no licensing, and to be able to open and save in legacy formats to extremely useful. I worked at an office that used Apple Numbers and it was dreadful, so I convinced everyone to us OO, and everyone agreed it was the better move, and all of our files were compatible which made the switch much easier.
Desvantagens:
Nothing. And I mean that, there are no downsides to OpenOffice. Maybe only that not enough people are aware of it, but without it being a profit motivated program, that makes sense.
OpenOffice Calc is Very Unstable. Libreoffice never Crashes
Vantagens:
I reiterate what all the other reviews say about OpenOffice. it is an amazing piece of software and it is open source and free I will never use word againThe only problem I have is that open Office is unstable. I used it on a daily basis for years up until a year ago and OpenOffice usually crashed two or three times a day losing my work. However there is an easy fix. A year ago I switched from OpenOffice to LibreOffice and I never looked back. LibreOffice is great. LiibreOffice is a forked version of OpenOffice but is much more stable. I have been using LibreOffice calc for over a year and never had a crash and I have some huge spreadsheets that I develop. The file formats are completely compatible between OpenOffice and LibreOffice so there is no problem switching. Just de-install OpenOffice and install LibreOffice on your computer.

Your essential Software
Comentários: The software is almost perfect, it helps to manage a whole company, easy to understand. Secure, and practical for both large and small companies.
Vantagens:
The easiest Software ever, I used to work on it everyday.
Desvantagens:
the data to be entered is unlimited so all the responsibility was on my shoulder plus the automatic correction is not available.
It's the top but it's not MicrosoftOffice
Comentários: I am very happy overall with using this program. It is a complete and lightweight program that allows you to do almost everything it promises
Vantagens:
It's easy to download, it's a lighter program than those on the market
Desvantagens:
it is difficult to recover data, lost due to PC malfunction, not previously saved
an alternative to Office for free
Comentários: it's a good alternative and i have it installed in all my computers
Vantagens:
i like that it's free to use and you don't need any subscription
Desvantagens:
some functions are not as developed as in office
Amazing Alternative to High Priced Options
Comentários: I have been using OpenOffice for years. It is a great alternative to Microsoft's Office Suite.
Vantagens:
OpenOffice is Free, Functional, and has tons of Extensions
Desvantagens:
The User Manual can be a little difficult to use at times.
Office But Free
Vantagens:
Microsoft and Apache products are very similar overall. If you are able to work one you can work the other. And if you have never used either, both are quite simple to learn. Apache is 99% the same and can get all the same jobs done for none of the cost. Apache will even let you save in the formats that work with the other software out there. No internet connection, no problem with apache.. Its yours
Desvantagens:
For students, i do not believe it has a voice-over function and I have heard some horror stories overall about customer service-related issues. Knock on wood, I have not had to deal with that.
An Open Source tool for the office
Comentários: It allows me to work on personal and work projects without having to buy professional software, but I'm not sacrificing quality and I can share my docs everywhere without having to worry I'll lose my work.
Vantagens:
I use it for personal and work reasons and I find it very intuitive and easy to use. The thing I like the most is the fact that you can easily convert your doc into PDFs or other formats, or put it into a Google Sheet, and you won't lose a single word or have to rewrite it.
Desvantagens:
I find the synonym suggestions and grammar corrections weak; sometimes the tool doesn't recognize a word that exists. And sometimes I'm looking for some synonym suggestions and there aren't, so I have to look elsewhere.
A great alternative to paid options
Comentários: Easy to install with good explanations. It came with an equivalent to Word, Excel, Powerpoint - so the major programs.
Vantagens:
It is free and a great alternative to Microsoft Office Suite. It is quite a feature rich product and a great alternative to Microsoft Office.
Desvantagens:
There are some features (minor) that are lacking but overall well worth it. Sometime formatting of documents can be a bit harder - but more likely different to what one is used to.
JAM Apache Review
Comentários: Apache helps many who require software for work, school, and other major personal use. Apache are great for projects, and I look forward to seeing it go the distance. It needs an update as soon as possible though, because I find looking at the same features tiring. All in all a wonderful experience!
Vantagens:
The most important feature on here is the menu. From there I am able to run multiple software at one time. Its very nice to have software that puts the multitasking skill to good use. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for an alternative suite software with easy access. This software is trustworthy, reliable, and very helpful!
Desvantagens:
The software itself needs an update as the features on Apache are obsolete. The loading speed for opening the software needs improving. I need to have the software opened within a minute to two instead of five minutes. Apache needs one new software added to its menu!
Apache Open Office Business and Individual User Friendly
Comentários: We found OpenOffice years ago when we were first starting out and needed an alternative to spending thousands of dollars on Microsoft Excel. We use this daily for in house use and when working on projects for customers. Because so many people use Excel we simply work on OpenOffice and reload to Excel with very few changes necessary. This software saves us time and money and to continue interacting with other businesses seamlessly.
Vantagens:
This software is very user friendly and meets the word processing and spreadsheet needs of our company. We use it daily for word processing, article construction, publication writing, and all of our spreadsheets. To say it is amazing does not do this software justice, I mainly use these two features but know it does far more, such as Drawing, Presentations, Calculator and Illustration. Co-workers use some of those other included features, but my work keeps me occupied otherwise. The word processing and spreadsheet program sections can be converter to Microsoft Office products with minimal effort. Especially nice is that Microsoft Word and Excel products can be opened by OpenOffice. This feature has saved us so much time. If we make changes to those documents they may be saved to either OpenOffice or Microsoft formats. The program is updated frequently at no cost or loss of information.
Desvantagens:
There has not been a single complaint from my staff. I personally have a problem printing envelopes, but I think that is because I rarely do so.
Apache OpenOffice For Office suit, it’s the best free alternative to Microsoft Office.
Comentários: OpenOffice is a free alternative to Microsoft Office that may be used to make presentations for co-workers, briefings, and bulletins, as well as organize data.
Vantagens:
OpenOffice is a more comprehensive and user-friendly program than Microsoft Office. OpenOffice allows you to quickly change margins, typeface, size, and other settings, and I believe it does it better than Word and in a more user-friendly way. Within one program, it can handle spreadsheets, basic databases, presentations, basic drawings, and all of the other Microsoft Office capabilities. It also allows users to create third-party plugins, giving you a lot of flexibility when it comes to pursuing extremely particular goals within the application.
Desvantagens:
The software can occasionally malfunction, causing it to sluggish or even crash, although this has only happened a few times in my experience. Rather than DOC, OpenOffice's primary document format is ODF. When I open Microsoft DOC files in OpenOffice, I occasionally see incompatibilities, such as formatting issues.
OpenOffice: free and flexible
Comentários: Even after 10 years we still use OpenOffice along with our other editor apps such as MS Office because some of the features are only available here and also because OpenOffice is a free app, a great alternate for any paid programs!
Vantagens:
The best part of this program is that it's shareware and free to use yet gives users a good quality option to other products such as Microsoft Office. OpenOffice might lack some of the features MS Office has but then gives other options, also has a good community for support and questions are addressed fairly quick and by knowledgeable developers.
Desvantagens:
Not as 'sophisticated' as some of the other Office apps - such as MS Office, lacks several good features other editors have.
A good budget option for Office utilities
Comentários: It has been a lifesaver when other options are not at hand (no internet, or no budget to spend on fancier programs). I really like being able to search for templates online, and it was really helpful when making CVs that looked really professional.
Vantagens:
OpenOffice is a free open-source software that can be installed and used in just minutes. Its similarities to other softwares make it easy for users to adapt and learn how to use it quickly, so it becomes a great otion for low-budget situations. It has a suite of programs with different functionalities, including a word processor, sheets and database makers, presentation and slides software, even a drawing program. All of these are fairly standard and don't require intensive learning to start using, which is a great perk. A feature I like about OpenOffice is that you can create custom templates, and many people offer their own templates online for other users to check and modify, which makes it easy to start new projects based on what others have built before. It is also relatively easy to save the files in formats that can be opened in other programs, so that you can send them to colleagues who may not have OpenOffice in a way that they can still use and modify them.
Desvantagens:
The visual style of the programs can seem a bit crude, and sometimes it can bug out or take really long times to load. It can also have some formatting problems when taken to other applications (tables or figures might move around and it can be difficult to correct for these modifications in other softwares).
Awesome! The same as Microsoft Products!
Comentários: I use this software just like I would Microsoft to help write letters collect data and keep me accountable. This software has been a huge help, especially when I did not have the budget for Microsoft and have been true to open office ever since.
Vantagens:
Need I say more, this is by far the best product out there. I started using open office several years ago when I didn't have the budget for Microsoft office, excel, word, etc. This software is free and is identical to Microsoft. The best part is when you are ready to save it gives you an option that converts it to a Microsoft formst so it can be opened anywhere on any computer. This is definitely by far an amazing program that allows you to accomplish so much from writing letters, to data sheets like excel, to creating presentations. It does pretty much the same thing but all for free, how can you ask for more?
Desvantagens:
There really is no cons to this program, as it does so much for a free application.

OpenOffice Review
Vantagens:
I liked the fact that the product is an open source software and is very easy to setup and use. OpenOffice did a fine job handling every office tools that any company needs to have. It is free and always will be
Desvantagens:
The downside of the product same as other open source document tool is that sometimes content on OpenOffice is not really working with MS Office, you must modify the contents you made just for it to become the same
The proof that Opensource can be also great
Comentários: OpenOffice has replaced the big proprietary suite that most Windows users were forced to use and pay. OpenOffice is a versatile, simple, light and professional alternative for offices and single users alike.
Vantagens:
OpenOffice is drop-dead simple, light and efficient. Long are gone the days where I had to use expensive suites from proprietary software. As soon as I installed the OpenOffice suite I knew I wasn't coming back. To start with the software is as easy as to download the package installer from their site, run it and you will be done in no time. No spyware and sketchy offers, no subscriptions, just the tools you need. OpenOffice isn't as resource intensive as it's major competitor, so you can run it in machines with less powerful setups and still it will load quickly. I appreciate that Apache has made such a contribution, a simple, easy to use and fully compatible software for free.
Desvantagens:
Often I have to play a bit with the .csv encoding screen to see the file properly, but it's not really a big issue. It's often annoying the prompt window asking you to save in ".ods" format instead of the default .doc that it's better known, easier to identify and best if you are collaborating with people that use different tools.
If you don't need all the bells and whistles, go for this
Vantagens:
I remember coming across OpenOffice several years ago and thought I would give it a try as it seemed a valuable "agnostic" solution that worked on Mac, PC, and Linux machines alike and it was free to download, install and use. Generally, what I liked about OpenOffice was the fact that it provided most of the main features of the various Word, Excel, etc. True, the user interface may not have been as good as that of such tools but, overall, OpenOffice met its goals of letting users leverage the core features needed for writing, creating tables, etc. I would say that if you don't need advanced features but mainly the basics, OpenOffice could be the one "digital office tool" for you.
Desvantagens:
There are a few things I am not a fan of when it comes to OpenOffice. The firsts one is the fact that, unlike some of the other tools, it doesn't have a mobile app. This means that you will always be dependent on working from your computer, always. Next is the fact that it does come with a "ceiling" meaning that you might find yourself in need of something else at some point in the future because you may feel as if you have outgrown OpenOffice as a platform. Also, keep in mind that it has been discontinued so you may find versions still available for you to use but may be outdated.
The best free office suite
Comentários: My overall experience of using Apache OpenOffice was great. It saves license cost. It is fast. I am having more benefit by using operating system of my choice.
Vantagens:
Apache Open office is a free and powerful alternative to all popular office suites. It offers all basic and advance possibilities which other office suites are offering. It is available for all popular operating systems like Windows, Linux, Android, etc. It is comparatively small in size. It is fast to run. It supports all popular file formats.
Desvantagens:
The only thing I don't like is no support for DOCx, XLSx and PPTx file formats.
