The breadth of features is exceptional. We were able to replace almost a half-dozen solutions with DonorView - dramatically simplifying our workflows and processes (as well as saving some money).
Junk in...junk out...very unprofessional look. No way to control that...and they don't seem to care about it either.

We Love Donorview
Comentários: I have loved it. The customer service has been great, they answer my emails immediately. And it has simplified my life treamendously.
Vantagens:
The versatility, I shopped around for months looking for something that would be able to fit my unique fundraiser. Donorview, while not super flashy like some of the others...checked every single one of my boxes. It has P2P, ticket sales, silent auction, text campaigne....tons of different features!
Desvantagens:
I wish that we had paid more to get a full training up front. I'm positive that there are more features that I could have been using, but don't know of because I didn't have a formal training.

Good CRM for donor management
Comentários: Pretty good overall. We switch from DonorView to an integrated Fund Accounting / CRM platform only because I wanted a more seamless process for doing accounting and donor management.
Vantagens:
Onboarding process was very well supported and integration was pretty smooth. This is a pretty intuitive CRM platform with more features than I got to use in the year I subscribed.
Desvantagens:
Even though it has a quickbooks integration feature, that process on a daily basis with Quickbooks desktop is cumbersome and could generate some issues. If using Quickbooks on-line, this process looks a lot simpler, but did not try it.
Poor use for auction/event

The program has many options. It's intriguing to have an all-in-one program for the price.
Desvantagens:
This program is not at all intuitive. Support is awful. We pay for a service plan, call support, and receive an email. It's much more efficient to email, but then the level of support depends on who is answering. We have a three year contract. For two years, we've used the program for our annual fundraiser and auction. For two years, we've had multiple complaints from users, which I've outlined below. When I address them via email to support, I'm told that they will work on providing support but there is nothing they can do to remedy the problem. Overall, the program requires MULTIPLE clicks to complete a task. At least 3, most often 6. Here is the issue from our fundraiser this year, which is similar to last year's event: We needed something to trigger that a recurring payment was entered incorrectly from a donor so we could stop that from happening. We also needed something that would tell the donor that they had set up a recurring payment and it was about to be taken out, so they could fix this before it even happened. Because neither happened, the donation was taken, and the donor was unhappy while we had to refund the donation, which took several days. Related to our event and auction on Sept. 27: Multiple issues logging in to the event module and the auction module. The program would just spin, and then not let donors in. Donors would try to go back into the program once they were in it, only for the program to tell them they didn’t have an account or their account wasn’t verified, but I sat with them to do the verification. This happened to our Treasurer; she’s familiar with how to use technology. She was so frustrated, she decided not to bid on anything. We had 5G internet; this was not an onsite wifi or local Internet problem. Nothing to trigger a donor that they already had an account. People didn’t look at “Constituent.” That’s not language they use. We’ve now spent countless hours to clean up the database because people created up to 7 accounts trying to bid for the auction. I’ll relate this to the above problem that people would reenter information in order to bid. There were no emails to participants and no texting to share that they had been outbid, so people didn’t up their bids. We needed that to happen. People couldn’t complete bids or purchases once begun; the program would kick them out and they would need to sign in again, even if they had been signed in minutes before. Donors would come to us to ask for help, and we couldn’t see any notes or faults on our end as administrators. Some participants received emails that they won when they were outbid in the last minute – there was a lag in the processing time in the program and the email went out. I closed the auction at 8:35 and sent out emails a minute or so later. When donors would choose to Buy It Now, they would try to complete the payment, and it would not show sold until minutes later, or would show as remaining open. We would refresh screens and must complete the transaction for them. There were times where I would try to complete the transaction for them, and it would not complete. The Internet was active and on; this was not a case of poor Internet, once again. Because our donors see Donorview as us, this reflects incredibly poorly on us and the quality of the event, in addition to discouraging bidders from participating. We’ve had multiple complaints about the use of the program, and some saying that we needed to change it if they would participate with us again.

Donor Management Made Easy

Vantagens:
DonorView is very user-friendly, which for me was one of the main selling points. Before moving to DonorView, we used a donor management system that was clunky, convoluted, and overall just too big for an organization like ours. DonorView made life a lot easier - combining a way to organize constituents better, maintain e-communication, run reports for metrics, and seamlessly fit with the look and feel of our website to attract more donors. The support is also top notch - when we have a question or a problem, the DonorView team is very communicative and committed to finding a solution. If we need fields added to profiles, etc. DonorView is very accommodating.
Desvantagens:
This is likely due to my own shortcomings rather than a flaw with DonorView (I am not trained in web design, etc.) but I sometimes have trouble with the e-mail templates. Like I previously mentioned, anytime I have a question or issue, the team helps me fix it promptly.

DonorView is Fantastic! Exactly what we need.
Comentários: We really like DonorView. We came from Giftworks and Paypal, and DonorView is incredible. The system is incredible smart and well thought out.
Vantagens:
Donorview is extremely customizable. It is easy to input new constituents, and the fluidity in which the events, fundraising, and constituent modules interact is fantastic. We like that we can do survey's in the system itself and track responses. Reports are easy to pull. We also like that when we do encounter problems, customer support returns out email and helps out quickly during business hours. They have implemented features for us when we request and are happy to help in any way possible.
Desvantagens:
The biggest downside to DonorView is that support is only available during normal business hours. We do a lot of evening and weekend events, and support is not available then. I believe they do have a feature now where you can prearrange and pay to have someone available to assist in an emergency, but it is not standard. DonorView is also fabulous at implementing new feature requests, but they aren't great at telling you that they have done so! I have absolutely discovered by accident that something I requested was done.

Excellent All-In-One Solution for Event Management and CRM
Comentários: The support team has been very responsive. I would always get a response to my question within the next business day. And I had quite a few questions in the beginning as I was learning the system! The training videos were also quite helpful.
Vantagens:
We use DonorView for our annual golf outing. DonorView has everything all in one system - CRM, mobile auctions, online registration, event management, text messaging, email, etc. All at a reasonable price. I don't have to work with multiple systems, or export/import data, because it's all right there. I did a lot of research and could not find anything similar. In fact, I had other non-profit software companies tell me that a software solution that combines CRM and event management doesn't exist. I'm happy to say that it does!
Desvantagens:
My biggest con is that the mobile app needs some work, as we had issues with it at our event. Also, as with any software, there are always new features and things you wish it would do. For example, I would like to be able to do partial payments for sponsorships and from multiple constituents. The DonorView team seems open to new feature requests. And for the most part, the software is quite robust.
Not at all what we thought it would be

The automated notifications were nice and I like being able to save reports and donor views for different looks.
Desvantagens:
The system is just overall difficult to use and a lot of the functionality we were shown during our demo ended up being add-ons that we couldn't afford. Overall, it makes targeted communication with donors difficult and limits my ability to speak to donors the way I'd like.
Donorview Review
Comentários: Overall, we still really like the product, but more training for the trainers would be ideal. Make sure organizations are aware of the exact items they get to use before making them sound free.
Vantagens:
I love that Donorview has the capability to help hold all of our information. As a non profit organization, it is so easy to get lost having to use multiple different software programs for donor management, fundraising events, etc. With donorview, everything is here- like a "one stop shop".
Desvantagens:
We had a great introduction/ tour of donorview, the sales man was wonderful and insightful. This all sounded like an amazing deal, especially for the price. However, as we have started using the program more, a lot of the options we had discussed during the initial meeting turned out to be some or of add on. One(s) that we would need to pay for (on top of the initial costs) in order to use. This was very discouraging. And the training videos are also added expenses.
Donorview has streamlined our operations
Vantagens:
Donorview is able to meet most of the needs of our organization and its administrative needs. We were looking for a system to handle youth memberships, incoming donations, and ticketed events for our season. We have been able to also use the features of email campaigns to eliminate another program and combine systems.
Desvantagens:
It can be a slight bit clunky to use and takes a bit of learning to use.

Fairly easy to use. Onboarding was great as well as their website builder.
Desvantagens:
I couldn’t afford the full support package and getting help is hard through emails only. I prefer to talk to customer support.
Excellent Value
Comentários: DonorView has made keeping track of your donors and mailing lists so much easier. It's all in one place instead of being spread out over a variety of applications.
Vantagens:
DonorView is easy to use and is very feature rich and comparable to much costlier products. Having mailing lists and donor management all in one place has been very helpful and a big time savings.
Desvantagens:
Some of the navigation is a little confusing.
Donorview and Non Profit Usage for Donor Management
Comentários: Overall experience - I am more efficient in my job (with the exception of the mailmerge feature) - and therefore able to be about the other many tasks that come with the job I have at The Mission.
Vantagens:
I like the ease of use. We used to have a different software that you almost needed to be a programmer to understand how to run simple reports. Donorview makes reports very easy and is easy to train new users on how to use the software as well.
Desvantagens:
The mailmerge feature for thank you letters ....
Donorview was a HUGE upgrade from many systems into just one!
Comentários: Donorview has made some great modifications based on our suggestions and has worked with us to create affordable personal solution when we really needed it. They are super quick and response to helping probelm-solve and understand the system.
Vantagens:
We moved our database from a FileMaker system which was customized for us but was OLD and was housed on a harddrive instead of the cloud. Additionally, we used an email software, event software, an application/forms software and paypal and NONE of the programs talked to one another. All updates to the database were manual and time consuming. When we moved to Donorview it was such a breath of fresh air to have access to our database anytime/anywhere. Additionally, its exceptionally helpful to have purchases, events and donations associated with client records. We do a lot of events and the event software works flawlessly almost every single time. We also have been able to get creative with the forms/surveys function and recreate documents like waivers and applications in that system. Again, extremely helpful to have applications associated with records instead of having to manually update. Overall, we are so grateful to have a software that does pretty much everything we need it to do. We also appreciate the pricepoint for the amount of functionality that we have. We are a small non-profit so it was a good mid-range product that was accessible to us.
Desvantagens:
Donorview has an incredible breadth of functionality that is hard to find all in one software. If you analyze any one of these features by itself (event ticketing, email marketing, surveys etc) there is a bit less functionality and is less user-friendly than if you paid for any of those items individuallyl on their own. (For example, our old ticketing software gave us a few more options and was a bit easier to set up) However, having all that functionality ALL in one place at an affordable price really makes up for those minor inconveniences. (Ex. Our old ticketing system did NOT talk to our database so we had to do waivers/tracking manually which was a real pain in the butt). Overall, it has been totally worth the switch. Also, Donorview seems to be very responsive to suggestions and ideas and as a young company seems to be trying to make constant improvements in their system based on feedback. I imagine that as feedback comes in user-friendlyness will just continue to improve!,
Great price for Donor management software.

Vantagens:
I like the email templates and the ease of sending out mass emails to donors.
Desvantagens:
The software feels a little outdated and can be slow when creating email templates for mailouts. I also feel like the website and donor pages could be updated for a more modern look and feel. User-friendly but could be improved.
Do NOT use
Comentários: It has been horrendous. In three months, I have put more hours into trying to teach myself this platform, than I spent inside my old platform which I used for 15 months. When you email for help, they get back to you with screen shots and links to articles- very rarely could I get a real person to sit down and talk with me over the phone so I could adequately explain my issues. And it became clear early on that [SENSITIVE CONTENT] was bothered with the multiple emails I sent him with questions. I can only stress, again, that if I had received training/onboarding, the majority of those emails wouldn't have existed and I'd have been happily writing some other review for Donor View. The platform likely is great but I wouldn't know that since I have no idea how to use it efficiently. The lack of training and professionalism is appalling. I could not in good conscious recommend this company to other small non-profits (I am a company of one but we service around 3,500 customers annually) unless the training/onboarding issue is resolved.
Vantagens:
The marketing brochure and videos made it look amazing and super easy to use.
Desvantagens:
The "training" that was offered. I have paid for onboarding and did NOT receive it unless it was the link to several "overview" videos for each of the modules. Or maybe the consider my training/onboarding to be the repeated links they would send me to their "Support Site". Here, I could find hundreds of questions related to my topic which I then had to hunt through to see if I could find my particular question- and it usually wasn't there. The majority of my questions were one-off's specific to my company. I can only stress that had this company taken the time to thoroughly onboard/train me, I think I would have really enjoyed the product. As it is, my experience has been miserable.
Efficient and Effective
Comentários: We have been a DonorView subscriber for three years. Our appreciation and enthusiasm for DonorView's role in our success continues to grow.
Vantagens:
DonorView empowers us to communicate effectively and efficiently with our donor base.
Desvantagens:
What I like least about DonorView is that I don't have the time to take advantage of tools that we aren't using.
Makes my life easier
Vantagens:
I really like DonorView. There was a bit of a learning curve but you will have that with any new software. Any time I have questions or problems, they have been very quick to answer or to figure out what is causing the problem (and sometimes even letting me know that the problem is me). My biggest problem was figuring out the report function (I still have some problems but again I just send an email and they walk me through it). We looked at a few different options and by far this was the best deal around. I am very pleased with DonorView. In fact someone in our organization mentioned about maybe looking into changing software and I flat out told them that I like using donor view, it is very user friendly and if they decided to change it would be without me. That is how much I like using DonorView.
Desvantagens:
With our previous software our donors could be listed as a married couple but with DonorView (as with other softwares we looked) at each person is an individual and then put into a relationship. Not only did it significantly increase our donor base but it just didn't work for us so I ended up merging the married couples together to create one donor instead of two. It would have been nice to have that option of keeping them a married couple at the beginning of our conversion so that I wouldn't have had to do all the merging (which took quite a bit of time).
Donorview is Affordable and Has Launched our Online Giving in New Ways
Vantagens:
We like the flexibility the software gives. Our recurring donors love being able to have their own donor portal and set up and change their recurring donations.
Desvantagens:
The initial conversion had its challenges but after several weeks we were able to work with the DV team and get things the way we needed them.
Yay DonorView!
Comentários: Overall DonorView has really helped us regain ability to organize all our incoming donations, donor information, volunteer information, and more. We have been able to keep all our important information in one plan and do so with ease.
Vantagens:
What we love most about DonorView is how easy it is to use and simplicity of its functions. We started using this program a few months ago now and its so easy to learn all the features and they did a fantastic job creating support videos and questions/answers. We love the interactive ability for donors as well to use. The best part is definitely the customer service - if there has ever been any confusion or questions, the employees of DonorView have done a tremendous job at facilitating any issues or even creating new features and etc. Overall fantastic program.
Desvantagens:
The only thing I can really think of would be in regards to my PRO point of its simplicity. In just a couple areas it could be too simple and limiting.
Donor View is a great product for Non-profits

Comentários: For the most part, I have no complaints. It is very useful software.
Vantagens:
I only use this program to enter new people and record interactions. It is a wonderful tool to be able to keep track of not only their personal information (address, phone, email) but also make notes to help you remember connections that you have made and with whom. There is a place to enter their availability as well. For instance, I planned a "Christmas Wrapping Party", and was able to enter each person that participated. Next year, that list can be pulled up, and I have all of their contact information at hand!
Desvantagens:
There are many things that I still need to learn. My only complaint is that I have lost things in DV. It did not "save" for some reason.

Comentários: Having one database that performs the same functions as our previous three, it is extremely user friendly.
Vantagens:
So far, myself and my organization has had a great experience with Donorview. The transition period was very simple from our old database since Donorview provided ample support and answered all of our questions and concerns over the transition while also merging our data very quickly. Whenever we have any questions or issues the support team quickly responds and helps resolve any issues. My team and I are always excited to see the new features and updates donorview creates as it is always bigger and better. Thank you to the donorview team for such an amazing diverse software!
Desvantagens:
The reporting is the part that we struggle the most with, it is not as robust as our old database so that has been a struggle in terms of acquiring donor retention reports with ease. I know that this will soon be an issue of the past as the software continues to develop.

I like the great customer service. They are very responsive to our needs. We have been with Donorview for a few years. We are happy that they take our suggestions seriously and are able to add features to the software as we have needed them. It has been very helpful. We like Donorview because we were able to combine multiple softwares we were using and now just have one.
Desvantagens:
I wish that we could use our current ACH provider for online donations. This would save us cost and additional paperwork.
DonorView Review
Comentários: Customer service and tech support is responsive and very helpful.
Vantagens:
Covers many different areas of a non-profit's daily database, fundraising and marketing needs all in one place- one-stop shopping is great!
Desvantagens:
Email program and reporting is tricky, not as intuitive. Sometimes takes longer than needed. Also, does not allow PDF attachments or embedding which is tricky. These features should hopefully be coming soon to the program.
