Love it, bought it for life

Comentários: I tried out Grammarly along side ProWritingAid and found it better meets my needs. Of course, both have developed significantly since then. PWA feels more grounded and gave me better suggestions than the competition. I bought a lifetime subscription. I have it turned on, on most webpages and in Outlook, Word and PowerPoint. It supplements the MS editor well. When I have needed help, the support team have always been great.

Vantagens:

I like that it integrates with my favourite apps and is available whenever I am typing.

Desvantagens:

It is brilliant for novelists and other fiction writers. I would love some of their functionality focused on business and non-fiction writing.

I would love to see an add on for Scrivener like you have for Word.

Too tough to maneuver

Comentários: I wanted to like it but found it difficult to use. It was jumpy and hard to make changes. Half the time, I couldn't even place the cursor.

Vantagens:

Nothing. I found it too cumbersome to work with.

Desvantagens:

It was too slow—agonizingly so. Whenever it recommended rewording a sentence or paragraph, it would take forever to load the suggested changes. It got to the point where I dreaded having to make them. I also use Grammarly, and the difference in speed is like night and day.

The Standard for Authors

Comentários: Wonderful. Took a small amount of time to get used to it after years on Word. But once acclimated, and it wasn't a hard learning curve, it has become by far my favorite. I recommend it to all my friends who write, sometime with the fervor of an evangelist.

Vantagens:

I'm a pantser, trying to be more organized and become a little more of a planner. PWA makes that simple, and made my writing more impactful.

Desvantagens:

I wish there was an option to move from Premium Lifetime to Pro Premium Lifetime, through payments instead of only a lump sum. I would immediately upgrade if that was an option.

Top of the line editing program

Comentários: Excellent. I send every manuscript I write through the program multiple times and use it extensively.

Vantagens:

The number of editing tools is awesome and scary accurate.

Desvantagens:

The editing pop-up should be placed at the top of the page to allow users to browse the entire written page.

Mistake and Typo Catching Master!!

Comentários: I am thrilled with the ProWritingAid software. Hence, I went for the lifelong license. :-)

Vantagens:

It does what it claims it can do. No false advertising.

Desvantagens:

The interface needs to be cleaner. It's to big and clumsy.

It makes brilliant suggestions. I think the interface is easy now that I've had it a few days.

Desvantagens:

It was hard to get it to work at first. It conflicted with my browser until I found out a conflicting ext and turned it off.

ProWritingAid is the best!

Comentários: ProWritingAid has made writing easier. Retirement has allowed me to enjoy my passion in writing.

Definitely worth the money

Comentários: My overall experience with the app is positive. I am very glad that I purchased the lifetime membership.

Vantagens:

I love how it improves my writing by offering suggestions I can take or ignore. It even helped me with this review.

Desvantagens:

Now the only time I don't like it is when it isn't functioning properly. That typically only happens in Google docs when there are lots of comments or suggestions. Something about the editing/commenting/suggesting aspect of Google Docs throws the app off.

A brilliant AI editor which may need few improvement

Vantagens:

I have been using ProWritingAid since March 2020 as a replacement of Grammarly,  as this provides lifetime subscription, which is very much cheaper compared to Grammarly. Since it uses your account to authenticate, you can install this on an unlimited device. It also provides suggestions to the sentences you have written and suggests the whole paragraph to be written in a better way. It has a diction too. It has Homonym function which checks for the incorrect word usage or the words which sounds alike and spelled differently . Another feature it includes is sticky, a function that suggests glue words which will slow down . In addition, it addresses the grammatical mistake you were making and highlights the improvement you have made. Realtime correction helps you to write an email or any documentation faster. Provides readability grade(to measure how easily a user can read your document).

Desvantagens:

Addon will slow down outlook sometimes, and it may even crash. I would love to see updates every quarter. Android app will definitely help in composting emails and writing a document in tablet.

Best writing partner ever!

Comentários: ProWritingAid has been a game-changer for me. Having it there to help me out has boosted my confidence and made me more productive.

Vantagens:

ProWritingAid is always there, wherever I am working. I am always in control, but it's nice to have the program catching errors in real time. But the best part is when I can use it to read what I've written and make suggestions about how to say it better. Sometimes I just can't think of the right word, and it comes up with something perfect.

Desvantagens:

Occasionally it gets in the way when I'm not editing, but it's easy enough to turn it off.

Buy it you not regrated!

Very Glad I Found It

Comentários: I am very much enjoying this tool and do not see myself not using it in the future.

Vantagens:

It works with the apps I use for writing and so far all the prompts have been useful so far. It is much more useful than the basic word processor spell and grammar checker.

Desvantagens:

The plug in seems to slow my cloud based tools slightly (there is a very slight but noticeable delay when writing online) but this is not enough to take me out of what I am doing.

It's good but not my first choice.

Comentários: It's alright. The price point doesn't make it worth my while. The AI suggestions are alright. The system could use some tweaking to bring in more accuracy with the content being analyzed.

Vantagens:

I love the ease of use. ProWritingAid is very easy to use.

Desvantagens:

When I submitted my manuscript to my proofreader, I was annoyed to hear my document was riddled with grammar mistakes. I spent hours using this software to proofread and it didn't really do what I had hoped...which is to catch grammar mistakes.

It personalises the content and helps me with tenses, flow, and fiction writing.

Desvantagens:

I can't think of anything at the moment. All I can say is that it has certainly improved since I last subscribed to it.

Still has some problems like effect and affect. Doesn't fully support company and product names and flags them as errors.

Use Pro Writing Aid

Comentários: Positive because it is more exacting than its competitors.

Vantagens:

Comprehensive in its editing and offers the rephrasing option.

Desvantagens:

Using rephrasing component ups my AI use score to dangerously high levels and can flag my work in an academic setting. I wish there was an AI use checker in the program.

Necessary Tool

Comentários: I've written three books, numerous articles, and too many emails with the help of ProWritingAid

The completeness of the software really guides the writer.

Desvantagens:

So many features can be confusing for the early user.

Great Writing Platform

Vantagens:

I love the reports that give me suggestions for improving my writing. It's also very helpful that it connects to Google Docs because that's where I store my files.

Desvantagens:

I wish the plagiarism detector came with the plagiarism check came with the monthly plan.

Helpful, but…

Comentários: It was useful at first to show me what I tended to do wrong and helped me learn to fix the issues. The reports are hard to understand at first and I ended up really only using about three of them. I did not renew my subscription because of how much it slowed down my ability to write quickly in the few minutes I get between other tasks, and because I felt I’d learned enough not to need it as much.

Vantagens:

I like that they have a free version online you can use even though it’s limited. I loved that it integrates with Word, but wow does it slow it down! The report are also a bit confusing and it takes time to figure out what they mean and how to navigate everything.

Desvantagens:

How much it slowed down my computer when I had Word open after integrating it.

ProWritingAid Indivitual Lifetime Buyer review

Comentários: Overall, it is helpful but not the best, and I purchased it assuming it would unlock some exceptional hidden features that are not available in the free version. However, I don't think I noticed any surprising features. But as I have a lifetime membership, I am excited to see upcoming features, which I believe will be available as a lifetime buyer, so I am hoping for the best in the future.

Vantagens:

It gives several rephrases and synonyms for each selected world, if possible. It has a different reporting mechanism that helps determine the problems in long sentences, and it is more inexpensive than other grammar-checking platforms like Grammarly.

Desvantagens:

It does not correct the sentence by suggesting grammar fixes; when I recheck the sentence with Grammarly after fixing it via ProWritingAid, Grammarly sometimes still gives grammar errors. Sometimes both ProWritingAid and Grammarly contradict each other. I used the paid version of Grammarly for a few months. I believe that saves time when you have to work quickly during the working day, and quick auto-suggestion works well in Grammarly.Sometimes, when I have to reply quickly to someone with a grammatically correct sentence, when responses are slow, even on a 300 KBPS fiber optic connection, I can't respond quickly, thus feeling messed up.
