Vantagens:
Tudo nele é fácil de utilizar, trata-se de uma plataforma amigável e que permite múltiplas possibilidades de análises qualitativas.
Desvantagens:
O software é fácil de utilizar, é amigável e de grande funcionalidade no dia a dia. Creio que pode aperfeiçoar as pré-visualizações nas redes, além de permitir a inserção de cores nas grupos de documentos, redes e códigos. Acredito também, que deveria permitir que seja estratificado uma análise, ou seja, quanto trabalho com grande volume de documentos, seria interessante permitir que visualização a apenas um documento ou código, sem que o restante das informações apareçam nas imagens. Exemplo: tenho 50 documentos analisados e devidamente codificados, no entanto, interessa para dado estudo trazer as elementos encontrados em apenas um ou mais desses documentos, sem que as demais informações presentes nos demais documentos apareçam nas imagens geradas.

O ATLAS. ti é um ambiente que favorece a organização de dados empíricos a partir de codificação. Uma vez realizada essa etapa, o acesso e relação a esses dados fica muito organizada e ágil. Good access for Education Institution
Comentários: The cloud version is the one of choice for initial users and has reasonable pricing. I mostly use that one. I'd recommend the local version for mid to advanced users. The speed of the work increases a lot with the AI functions, that is something you will be using with big amounts of data.
Vantagens:
Pricing is good for educational first users and students get free trials and discounts. That's especially useful for students and teachers abroad, who end up paying from their pockets. The software is stable and work amazingly.
Desvantagens:
The learning curve is complex. I recommend watching the tutorials and using the learning options more than once. It's like other specialized software. It will take a while to get the most out of it, and it can turn expensive sometimes.

The web version has many analysis tools in beta mode, which makes it difficult to work synchronously in a collaborative group. Therefore, it is necessary to work on the computer version to get the most out of the AI tools that have recently been incorporated.

Desktop version is great, but stay away from the web version
Comentários: Important product to perform literature research or qualitative analysis. Desktop version is good and helps especially with scientific work. Just do not use the web version, then you can be sure that you can work well on your project.
Vantagens:
Files are easy to import and you also save time on literature searches because you only have to read books once and then you can easily search for statements within all books.
Desvantagens:
Web version works too slowly and errors occur when encoding PDF files. There are also problems when exporting projects, so that it is not even possible to continue working in the desktop version. Customer service definitely handles such cases too slowly.

Hello Adrian, thank you for sharing your feedback. I checked the communication between you and ATLAS.ti. After your first inquiry on Friday December 16th , I can see our user support team asked you to invite our technicians to your ATLAS.ti Web project the following workday on Monday, December 19th, but we didn't receive a confirmation from you until Friday, January 6th. That same day, our user support team immediately followed up with our technicians to confirm everything was received correctly, then the following workday Monday January 9th one of our senior technicians wrote you that he is working on it, and we received no further communications from you. Upon investigating (between January 9th and 12th), we saw that the huge PDF you used was "corrupt" and when it was technically translated so that it could be used in the Web version, it created errors because of the characters in your PDF. We then fixed these characters in the translated ATLAS.ti PDF and everything was resolved by Thursday, January 12th. As you can see, we were very responsive (at latest we responded the next day, but mostly during the very same day), and we fixed your problem, which occured because of the characteristics of the PDF that you uploaded, within 3 days which also is a very good time. If PDFs that have these kind of "corrupt" characters are uploaded in ATLAS.ti (or any other web-software) they create problems and this is not our fault and we do not have to solve that problem. Since we try to help every user we nevertheless have taken care of the problem and solved it. Your comments that the Web version creates errors, that the conversion to the Desktop version does not work, or that our support is too slow is just not true and millions of users have no problem with their projects in any way. Of course we know that people can get angry if they face such problems but this is not due to ATLAS.ti as described above. Our user support team is always available 24 hours a day, 5 days a week via live chat, telephone, and email. Please always feel free to reach out to them if you ever have more questions or comments. In the past year, our user support team has received 95% positive ratings from ATLAS.ti Web users, which suggests that ATLAS.ti Web has been successfully facilitating qualitative research and users have been largely satisfied with the support they've received from us. And last but not least, ATLAS.ti is the only software package in that field that offers FREE support 24/5 with not extra costs, with no extra maintenance to pay for etc. no matter if our users are students or researchers in a big company. Atlas.ti; the most user-friendly qualitative software
Comentários: My experience with Atlas.ti has been awesome. It's data visualization abilities and code-document analysis helps derive more insights from data.
Vantagens:
The fact that I can group my codes and documents. Then view my findings with excellent and beautiful visualization tools does the magic for me.
Desvantagens:
Statical analysis functionality of Atlas.ti is something I am yet to get a grasp of. I think it would be very helpful if a webinar is organised to sensitize users about this functionality.

Comentários: Good, very easy to navigate, and with the undo button its really easy to play around with some functions.

It makes it to analyse the qualitative data, and i can always go back and change code, or merge or split, its quite helpful.
Desvantagens:
Mine crashed, and i am not sure if there ia some information on how to go about that in the manual because I was just frustrated, because i could still open projects but the documents content was not showing in the main window, and i could not creat new project.

I recently contacted the support team of Atlas.ti, as I had a problem when upgrading the program. My concerns were listened carefully, and my problem got solved in a friendly and professional manner. I was extremely satisfied after the experience! Many thanks to [sensitive content hidden] (from the support team) for all her patience, help, and assistance.
Desvantagens:
My projects were not transferred automatically to the new version of Atlas.ti when upgrading the program, which was quite scary. However, after contacting the support team, I got all my projects and work back quite easily.

Vantagens:
Coding the data is very intuitive, especially for those who work with different types of qualitative data (interviews, secondary document analysis, memos, field notes)
Desvantagens:
The new upgrade has addressed some of the problems such as visualization in the previous versions of the software. It could be made better in subsequent updates.

Comentários: I am a positivist and often used quantitative analysis. But when i started my PhD studies, i venture into behavioral sciences and realized that i had to put meaning to figures,,....and gues what...when i discovered ATLAS.ti and explored its use through youtube training, within days i gradually became an expert in using it. I most importantly liked the area od qualitative positivism that blends well with advanced data analytics that bring out the best meanings attached to various sentiments from subjective respondents. We love you guys and keep the fire burning!!

A PhD Student's Best Friend

Smooth landing into qualitative analysis
Comentários: I'm new in qualitative data analysis and in the use of data analysis software. I'm not part of a team, but never felt alone. I have in hand not only the information on line (user manual, youtube videos, etc.), but especially the direct and quick personal attention to solve my doubts.
Vantagens:
Documents, dialogues, texts and words in general are a wide world: direct meanings along with subtleties, metaphores, ironies... I higly value how Atlas.ti facilitates to reach conclusion: the easines of coding, grouping, extracting co-occurences and word frequencies, elaborating my own queries, networks, etc.; and the visual sources it offers.
Desvantagens:
I can think of a 2 particular details: not yet clear for me (from linguistics) what the coefficient mean in the co-occurrence tables; and still a bit messy for me to build some queries and networks.

An inherent issue with the c-index and similar measures is that it is distorted by code frequencies that differ too much, so if a cell shows the yellow marker, it should invite you to look into the co-occurrences of this cell despite a low coefficient. User friendly and helpful support team
Comentários: If you have lots of text and data to deal with, the software can help you to summarize and find the ideas and meanings from the massive data much more easily.
Vantagens:
Very easy to code, group, and analyze all my interview transcripts and other texts. The function is intuitional so that you can familiarize yourself with the coding and analyzing steps easily. Once you have any problem with the software, the online message and service mail from the support team is really helpful and instant-reply.
Desvantagens:
New function-AI summary can do the summary only from the text and data, just to make the massive data short, but if you want to "read behind the data", we have the sensitivity of the issue and that's our job that AI still can not replace.

Comentários: Overall, Atlas.ti was a good product to use for qualitative research as it streamlined the process where all information/data could be found, stored, reviewed and adjusted seamlessly.
Vantagens:
Atlas.ti made the compilation of codes from transcripts relatively easy with data discovery being easily accessible.
Desvantagens:
Atlas.ti may be difficult to use at first without the proper training which can be frustrating where certain aspects with data analysis being more difficult than it needs to be.

First time use experience
Comentários: I think that a great caracteristic is that it is very intutitive, So, easy to use.

And I was used to the large amount of data analysis that can be done with programs such as SPSS in quantitative research. Now that I am doing my first qualitative research I have been pleasantly surprised with the variety of tools that Atlas.ti has. Especially in its latest version which incorporates artificial intelligence tools that are making it much easier for me to analyze the interviews I have conducted. I hope to continue to discover other supportive features as I progress in my work.

The manual is too extensive. And sometimes it is not easy to find what yu are looking for.

So intuitive for coding qualitative data!
Comentários: I like how easy it is to code qualitative data in ATLAS.ti. The software covers everything you need: ability to organize all types of qualitative data, writes notes on your thinking and research process, intuitive coding features, and many approaches to retrieving and analyzing coded data.
Vantagens:
I find ATLAS.ti to offer the most intuitive approach to coding because I can use keyboard shortcuts, and all of the codes are easily accessible in a searchable list, and other times I like to just drag codes from the list on the left and drop them onto quotations.
Desvantagens:
There are not many color choices for codes. I like that codes can be organized into levels, groups, and colors, but I sometimes could use even more colors than those in the software.

Such an easy software to understand. I really loved the support ATLAS.TI offers. The people are really patient and are really there to make sure you are feeling supported. Small or big questions: you can always chat to them. I used their AI-tool to code my data and that worked great!

Comentários: I am very satisfied with ATLAS ti. It is extremely versatile and user-friendly. At this point, ATLAS ti is making qualitative research a breeze.
Vantagens:
I personally like the AI interface for coding and summarising. It helps decrease workload and repetitive function that has to be completed manually. This saves a lot of time which is extremely important for a researcher.
Desvantagens:
Since ATLAS TI is still in the beta phase with the AI coding it tends to take a long time to code if big data sets are used.

A very useful product
Vantagens:
Provides a very helpful system to analyse our large amounts of qualitative data. The interface is user friendly and there are plenty of tutorials and other resources to utilise in order to understand how to navigate the software. The web app is also good.
Desvantagens:
Some formatting issues between the original text files and how it was displayed in ATLAS itself, but we were able to overcome this with some help from the support team.

Using ATLAS.ti for qualitative data analysis in social science
Comentários: It was an excellent tool for qualitative analysis in a large collaborative research project and the basis for our comparative interpretative qualitative analysis.

It is excellent for large collaborative research projects, we have had very good experiences with qualitative, interpretative and comparative analyses.
Desvantagens:
Sometimes the web version worked slowly, but that was at the very beginning - after that it got better.
