Easiest background checker around!!

Comentários: Checkr gives me the chance to look at the whole picture of someone I’m hiring giving me the chance to make a sound and safe hiring decision for the company.

Vantagens:

How easy it was to navigate around the site it wasn’t a long drawn out process like other sites!

Desvantagens:

The lay out could have been better. Things placed in different areas than they were.

Meets Expectations

Comentários: Overall it's a good prodcut that meets my expectations. I get the results I need in the time frame that I need them, and that's good enough for me right now.

Vantagens:

I am able to integrate Checkr with our current HRIS and start the process right from an applicants profile. I usually have a quick turnaround and easy to read reports.

Desvantagens:

There are so many different packages to choose from, sometimes it's complicated to know exactly what I'm ordering unless I log in directly to Checkr and then sort through the different packages.

High reviews from companies, awful reviews from candidates

Comentários: I've never had such a terrible onboarding experience before for a background check. I've done background checks and developed vetting before but this company has the worst experience as a candidate. They frequently pause the check to "request information" but the portal does not have a clear explanation of what they need. Questions are responded to with autoreplies, or responses that ignore the question entirely. Example: I emailed them to ask why my employment references were not complete (they had been completed last week). They ignored the question and told me they needed to verify a totally different thing and had been waiting for me to take action. There was no indicator in the portal or anywhere else that they expected action to be taken, so if I hadn't contacted them I would have presumably missed my start date with my company. The ramifications both for my new employer's business and my own ability to make rent would have been huge, and it was barely averted. Employers: look elsewhere, check the reviews on TP or other sites where you'll see candidates regularly mentioning horror stories with this site. I'm shocked they're still in business

Vantagens:

Checkr is meant to automate the process of background checks by having a useful and easy-to-access portal for users to upload their documents and check the progress of their background check.

Desvantagens:

Despite the portal looking great, the major flaw with this company is their lack of communication, terrible customer service and reliance on auto-replies which suggests a company that doesn't care about candidates.

Package review

Comentários: Love it.

Vantagens:

The synchronization with Procare Online.

Desvantagens:

When we create a profile from Procare online and select a package, that package is not reported in the Checkr website. I have to select the package again when sending the invitation to the candidates.Also. When an invitation link has expired and a new new invitation link is sent to the candidate from Checkr website, that new link and its report results is not updated on Procare online. Procare still keeps the old expired link where as the candidate has been cleared but we can't see it on procare.

Checkr has been a great asset to our ministry

Vantagens:

Integration with Planning Center, ease of use, ability to track the status of background process or if one is expired.

Desvantagens:

I wish we could add context to the initial email so that our volunteers know that it is coming from our organization and to be clear on what information we check and that we are using Checkr for our volunteers not for a job application. This has caused some confusion lately.

Wonderful software solution for a variety of businesses.

Comentários: We have loved the ability to submit hundreds of background checks and to quickly and easily see their status/results.

Vantagens:

I like that Checkr is an easy-to use and well-supported online solution. We really appreciate the ability to pick and choose what features we want and that Checkr has a pricing solution for any combination of features.

Desvantagens:

As with any background check system it can be frustrating when dealing with improper background check information or errors that come up when requesting a background check due to user (applicant) input error.

Vast Improvement Over Sterling

Vantagens:

Much more agile, easy to use, and cheaper than Sterling - a far, far better user experience for both the administrator and candidate.

Desvantagens:

Nothing to note! Great customer service and lots of attention in the onboarding.

Great Product to us

Some responses are slow, but not necessarily due to Checkr and various county's are manual and slow to respond.

Fast Effective Background Checks

Vantagens:

Checkr works seamlessly with Planning Center which we use to track all of our people. We can start a background check right from a person's profile and a request is sent to the person who has asked to volunteer and they complete it without us having to be responsible for the safety of any of their personal information. Checkr lets us know when the background check is complete (usually within 24 hours) and we are able to print the report for our files and it automatically updates their status to approved, approved with caution, or red flags it because of a concern brought up by the background check.

Desvantagens:

We have been very pleased with this software.

Misleading product descriptions

Comentários: The product descriptions say that the background checks are sufficient for school district employees and teachers. However they do not provide the required fingerprinting level check for these position. So I wasted money that they will not refund on BG checks that don't actually meet the minimum standard for the industry. The customer service was no help and displayed no interest in resolving my issues.

Vantagens:

I liked the integration with Gusto and the ease of use

Desvantagens:

Terrible customer service, bad product descriptions, and inadequate level of background checking

Waste Of Time and Money

Comentários: It was disappointing in many areas and I would not use them again.

Vantagens:

I can't say I liked anything about my experience with Checkr.

Desvantagens:

You can't speak to any customer service representative. All email or chat. Background took a long time, weeks, and they kept pushing the date back. In addition, it only went back 7 years which I was not aware of so it did not help. Someone could have been a serial killer 8 years ago and you would not know it. It was a complete waste of time and money. Would never use this company again.

Easy to Use

It's not over complicated, it does what it's supposed to do.

Desvantagens:

None to speak of. It's a software designed to do one thing.

Background checks made easy!

Comentários: It's been great overall! Definitely easier to use than other companies we've worked with in the past and the system keeps track of when re-checks are needed, which is super helpful and much more clear to us to keep us on track! Billing is straightforward and easy to change if needed. We're on autopay so it's easy peasy each month!

Vantagens:

We switched from a different company last year and started using Checkr. It works SO much easier with our current organization software (Church Community Builder). From setting up an account, to adding users, to requesting background checks and tracking in the CCB system, it's super easy. Background checks are usually super quick to get results from. And the cost is a little cheaper than the company we used before!

Desvantagens:

We don't necessarily know all of the features that are available to us. Cost breakdown wasn't easy to find on the account website. Sometimes it's hard to find answers on the help section for what we're looking for. We just usually need general background checks for our volunteers and also employees and that's really it. I see there's more features in Checkr that we need to probably research and make sure we're utilizing things to our fullest so we will do that! For the basic needs we have, Checkr has been easy to use and the customer service is quick to respond and help when we have questions.

I love Checkr

Comentários: I love Checkr! We have been working with them closely for many years- Ive been using it for 5 years and its always a great and fast source. Lots of information is provided to us via their BGC process and even the candidate portal. They have also come into the office for seminars and are great service

Vantagens:

Easy to use, easy to navigate, Checkr is always good with letting us know about new updates and product features.

Desvantagens:

Sometimes things that are flagged up as being "Consider" are often not real major issues.

Even their Customer Success leadership team don’t care

Comentários: Trying to implement CC-MVR for more than half a year now and still not done. We’ve been through 3 different customer success managers, all seem to be disappearing whenever you’d follow up on something they said they would do. I reached out to senior level leaders multiple times and was promised help, but I have never felt as helpless with any other vendor I’ve worked with in the past as I am with Checkr. I went through the correct channels but nothing gets resolved. RUN AWAY AND GO WITH ANOTHER BACKGROUND CHECK SERVICE PROVIDER.

Customer Service Improvement

Comentários: Recently we had some staffing changes and in order to get our invoices I had to go in to the portal several times until the right person at Checkr could update our email contact for invoice and payment receipts. It took a couple of months to finally get the change made even though customer service said it was changed.

Vantagens:

The software works great and depending on the response of the people we are requesting the check on, it usually pretty quick.

Desvantagens:

Other than the customer service concern I mention below (overall experience) I cannot think of anything negative at this time.

Easily Integrated

Comentários: We run many background checks each month on volunteers looking to work with children and vulnerable populations. I have great confidence in Checkr's ability to get me a quick report and link the information to profiles on our database.

Vantagens:

The best feature was the ability to integrate this into our church's database software, Planning Center Online. We were easily able to set-up accounts, connect the two, and manage who is able to view the background checks from a platform we use regularly.

Desvantagens:

The only thing I haven't liked is that the branding/website seems outdated.

Field Management

Comentários: Sometimes hard to find candidates in the search. Have to put them in many areas to pull them up.

Vantagens:

Usually fast response, easy to use. 24 hour access.

Desvantagens:

Would like to be able to put in a specific job, and pull all applicants with that information. Example-Floor experience-Pull all floor experience within all candidates that are applying to all jobs in the area.

Best background check available

Comentários: Checkr does a great job providing fast and complete results in their background checks. I am confident my students are safe when I use Checkr to background check a potential instructor. It's fast, transparent and makes the candidate comfortable with the process.

Due diligence to any contracting firm please utilize ethical practices and use another company

Comentários: Not very pleasant ,considering this is a business of ethical practices and hold high importance with sensitive information and with good candidates at stake, we will not be recommending their services.

Vantagens:

Its not the software that is the problem it's the decision making on someone who has no background being made to wait for no reason.

Desvantagens:

The company is not thorough in their candidate background processing, things that are not relelvant are made relevant and when it brought to their attention it takes them 10 days or more to correct the problem.

Great Software!

Comentários: Overall, my experience has been great! I've relied on it heavily for background checks and employment verifucations.

Checkr is easy to use, integrates well with my HR and Talent stack, and provides quick and reliable results!

Comentários: Very good. I like the updated Checkr now. To be specific, a product like Driver Pro takes shorter time than before. That's why we get to help a lot of drivers now.

It works in a detailed manner and it has the reports needed for every background check.

Some products depending on the region of the driver takes longer time than the usual.

Seamless and Accurate

Comentários: This was such an easy transition for us to begin Checkr and integrate into our current database!

Vantagens:

The ease of use and integration with our current church database (Planning Center) has made this tool our go to for all volunteer background checks. Knowing the accuracy and promptness of Checkr gives us and our parents ease of mind that we have done our due diligence in protecting our children.

Desvantagens:

There are some rare occasions where we have needed a volunteer to fill a Sunday morning role and the background check may not be returned instantly on late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, but that is such a rare moment.

A great tool with great integrations.

Comentários: Amazing. Really a great tool to vet candidates and get people hired!

Vantagens:

Extremely easy to use. The integration with Greenhouse allows us, and the rest of the recruiting team, to easy select the type of background check required for the specific role and send to the prospective new employee. The speed and follow-ups are really five steps above competetors.

Desvantagens:

For our purposes, the software is great.
