Jane in the most clinician friendly patient charting app

Comentários: Jane has streamlined our patient note-taking tasks, as well as making our patient appointment booking system more integrated.From the very beginning, when I made first contact with Jane staff I felt that the whole team at Jane cared passionately about what they do.It is not often that you come across a company who don't just say they care about their Clients, but live & breathe their proclaimed ethos. I get the very strong impression that caring about people is who they are.From our experience, at Cornwall Podiatry, we feel the Jane Team care about us. And that care enables us to pass forward that caring attitude in our own professional interactions with our patients.Thank you.

Vantagens:

We love the customisability of the Jane system. It is by far the most intuitive & feature-rich digital Clinical note taking up we've used. And we've trialed about ten different ones before deciding to move to Jane.It is also the easiest to use when running a busy clinic session. The templates can be custom designed for your own style of note taking, & can be customised on the fly with other templates as you need them.Each clinician can write their own treatment plans as Jane phrases which can be called up quickly with a forward slash & a 3-4 letter code. These phrases mean whole paragraphs of treatment which are regularly used can be inserted into the notes very quickly then edited for the specific patient as necessary.When duplicating a patient daily treatment chart the diagrams/body Charts etc are all duplicated ready to be edited to match that days treatment. Again making recording the patient treatment notes much more quickly than writing it all from scratch each time.Our administrative Staff loved the fact that patient Intake forms & contact data populated all the necessary fields instead of being manually transferred previously.Also the admin staff love the way Jane sends out reminders on Texts & Emails a few days prior to the patient's appointments.

Desvantagens:

One feature which is missing is a seach facility within reports. Plus I'd really love more colours to work with on the body Charts & sketching.

Decent for low volume clinics

Comentários: We liked using it until we broke 100 office visits per week. Then the SOAP notes were too slow and the billing was annoying

For example, we’re curious about how the SOAP notes got too slow things down or how the dynamics shifted once you hit over 100 visits per week, and what parts of the billing process were a pain. Vantagens:

My favourite thing about Jane is how honest and transparent the team is. This built trust immediately. Not to mention, they are so reliable and efficient during our import process!

Desvantagens:

I just wish there were more appointment colours, a way to mark someone as "out" that was not green, and an option to add a second provider as an assistant all in one appointment.

Janeapp has painful bugs, but works fairly well once you learn the hard way about them, and how to work around them.

Comentários: Generally good as long as I use Chrome, and know about the pages not refreshing bug and how to work around it.

Vantagens:

That it generally works well and looks good, as long as you don't mind being forced to use Chrome when you don't want to, and work around the other minor-ish bug of having to refresh the page, or quit and reload the browser to have the Documents and/or the appointments pages updated.

Desvantagens:

Being forced to use Chrome. How many professional apps out there actually force one to use a specific browser? Also, as above, at times having to either refresh the page or even quit and then restart the browser to have the Documents and Appointments pages updated. I was suggested to put these in "Feature requests" - but it belongs in bug fixes "requests" as it has caused me grief.

Jane if possible all the way

Comentários: Jane was helpful through school and now as a health practitioner. It does make you feel like an absolute professional.

Jane is very user-friendly. It is also intuitive. Templates are easy to follow and customize too.

It is a pricey software. Sometimes there are too many bells and whistles that only a large clinic would potentially use.

I highly highly highly recommend

Comentários: I'm usually pretty critical of companies that I work with and expect a lot out of them. Jane is one of the few companies that I would say that I would highly recommend. I started off with another company in that was a nightmare and then switched to Jane and it was like night and day.

Vantagens:

We got the company set up with him a month and the transition was generally seamless. I describe it like what happened with Y2K or everybody was really freaked out at first and then everything went just fine. Their customer support is amazing and all of the people that I have worked with have been very knowledgeable and if they don't understand they look into it and get back to you within a timely manner.

Desvantagens:

I don't have anything negative to say about the system or the people. There are various functions, bills, and whistles that I wish they had but they seem to be pretty good about listening to feedback and improving their system.

How does Jane support our Business?

Comentários: Moved from a previous Patient Management and the difference is night and day. The Support Team in particular are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and I love that they sometimes send videos of what actions you need to take when dealing with an issue

Vantagens:

First of all it is really easy to use and so impressed with the range of services it offers. Secondly the cost is superb and all our staff can access the system whenever they need to do, Fantastic product

Desvantagens:

The only thing I can suggest is that there is so many different options to do things with Jane that i don't think Ill ever get the time to go though them all

Jane is the best software i've ever used!

Comentários: I don't have a bad thing to say about Jane. I've used 3 other software's prior to Jane and they pale in comparison. I set up my own practise 2 years ago and I honestly feel Jane made the whole process so much easier. Thank you Jane - easy 5 stars from me.

Vantagens:

The online booking, statements and billing documents, it integrates with stripe and phsyiapp, easy to customize forms etc. You can duplicate notes create phrases which makes writing notes quick and easy. Customer service is fantastic. Above and beyond any other similar service. And when you need to leave they send you PDF of all client notes which makes it a breeze to comply with data safe keeping.

Desvantagens:

I wish they offered it in the country I am moving to.

Great support and experience

Comentários: Great, I'm slowly learning. As my practice evolve I'll be able to speak more about my experience.

Vantagens:

The support is amazing! All Jane representative I have spoke with we knowledgeable, friendly, supportive, and so useful! The platform looks professional and overall user friendly.

Desvantagens:

The French features. My practice is bilingual so I find it a little harder to navigate between the 2 languages.For example: I have chose my platform in English but I'd like to share etc "how to book an appointment" video to my English and French clientèle but didn't seem to be able to find the French version of it. I also teach yoga and workshops so I sell packages. At this time people who purchase packages can't sign up for more than 1 session. It simply adds up to the work "behind the scene". Just a constructive comments.

Happy I switched to Jane

Comentários: My experience has been excellent. I am glad I switched.

Vantagens:

I like that I can log in from anywhere, on all types of devices. I don't have to pay for backup storage because it is cloud based. It is easy to use. They have a ton of help videos and articles online. Patients like the online scheduling.

Desvantagens:

Some of the reports could be better. I would like to know how many of each CPT code I have done.

I hear your feedback - while you can have the patient-facing side of Jane set to French, Jane’s administrative side is not written in French. While not perfect, something we see some practices do is use the built-in translating feature of their web browser which works quite well. NO EHR Company has customer service better than Jane!

Comentários: No EHR can be all things to all people, but Jane comes close.

Vantagens:

Their top notch customer service- always prompt, helpful and friendly. Example: Once when I had a specific billing question, they went into a dummy account and did a video so I could see, step by step, exactly what to do- then they emailed it so I could look at it on my own time. Other times, they will email screen shots. Quickly available on phone, chat, or email.

Desvantagens:

I am not computer savvy so I have had lots of questions but they always provide easy to understand, step by step instructions.

Comentários: Thus far, the demos, staff, and design of product is exceptional

Vantagens:

The ease of navigating through the platform. The simplicity, yet thoroughness of features, is designed in a way that shows they undestand a providers needs

Desvantagens:

So far, I havent found any cons but my practice is a solo provider office so my needs may be sinpker than large offixes. Seems to have features for all types of practices

Fantastic product and fantastic team!

Comentários: Still fresh and getting things set up but the customer service/support team has been so wonderful at answering questions and helping me with areas I am unfamiliar with. The features of Jane that I have learned about so far are exciting in the way that it will make many aspects of my job so much easier. Definitely wish we took this step sooner.

Vantagens:

Awesome customer service/support, the software is easy to learn, software will make my job way easier

Desvantagens:

No complaints so far, still new to Jane but I can't imagine I would have anything major to complain about

Great customer service

Comentários: Nothing is perfect, but the overall experience is great due to customer service.

Vantagens:

The customer service. They are all so knowledgeable, courteous and prompt. Especially [sensitive content hidden]!

Desvantagens:

1) When I click on "Great" to the question "How would you rate my reply?" nothing happens, that button doesn't work. 2) I just lost a staff member (and all her clients attached to her) because she was not able to create her own treatments and classes without full access. This would be great for staff to have full control for treatments and classes for their clients. If I change her status from practitioner limited it compromises the confidentiality of other client files that do not belong to them.

Jane is an essential for a successful practice!

I have been a Jane user for 8 years. It is so much easier to use than any other EHR or scheduling program I have tried. At Jane they work hard to make the admin part of the job easier.

Vantagens:

Jane is very easy to use, amazing support

Desvantagens:

no ability yet to seemlessly connect with accounting software

Hearing that Jane has been easier for you to use than other EHR and scheduling tools? That’s the kind of feedback that keeps us going. We’re so glad Jane has been able to make the admin side of your practice a little less heavy over the years. Incredibly User Friendly

Comentários: I truly enjoy using Jane, but I would not pay for it just for myself.

Vantagens:

Jane is incredibly user-friendly in that it is simple and quick to get started with booking, billing, and taking notes. The layout is appealing and makes practitioner and client use a walk in the park. No need for additional add-ons, you can keep client cards on file without having to pair your software to Square. Jane's transaction fees are comparable to Square.

Desvantagens:

Sadly, when choosing to start my own solo-business, I came to find out how expensive the service is. Although worth mentioning that the software includes everything you would need - unlimited email and SMS reminders, file storage, credit card processing - $79/mo ends up being a steep spend for someone working for themself. For someone willing to push through a learning curve, using Noterro is a much more economical choice for the individual practitioner. ($25/mo base on which you may get a discount as a member of the RMTAO. With the SMS add-on, I am still paying under $35/mo for a service that covers all my needs.)

It’s a joy to hear that you found Jane user-friendly, simple, and a “walk in the park” for both yourself and your clients. Though it’s tough to hear we didn’t meet your price-point needs, which we realize it’s such an important factor for solos practitioners like yourself, it’s helpful to hear this feedback.

You’re right in saying that Jane comes equipped with almost everything you could ever need to open, run, and grow your practice - but that may be too much for some just starting out or working on their own, and we get that. While we may not have something that fits the bill for you right now, I hope we can cross paths again down the road.
