Vantagens:

All in all I was able to save money by combining three software products I was using. I think the automation ability is great and they are continually adding new features.

Desvantagens:

I wasn't able to make a payment because it kept prompting me to enter in a zip code when that field wasn't available. I tried 3xs but was forced to use a different form of payment, which is annoying.

Comentários: Minha experiência geral tem sido muito positiva, tenho gostado muito do programa.

Vantagens:

Os pontos que mais gosto são a interface intuitiva, a integração com diversas ferramentas, a personalização do sistema e o armazenamento seguro de documentos são características inovadoras e simplificadas.

Desvantagens:

Não há nada de crítico, mas gostaria de ressaltar que um suporte mais rápido e eficiente seria uma melhoria bem-vinda.

Great and getting even better!

Comentários: It has been an outstanding experience! If I have issues, they are promptly dealt with.

Vantagens:

It's been a learning curve, but I am getting there. TaxDome has always offered lots of help and has an academy where you can learn at your own pace. Overall, it is a great product. They listen to their users, add their desired features, and request whenever possible!

Desvantagens:

The only negative aspect is the cost. For a one-person accounting firm like mine, the price is alot for one product.

Thumbs up for TaxDome

Comentários: TaxDome is easy to use and learn (TaxDome Academy!) and support has always been quick to answer and get to the bottom of any issues. They communicate well with their clients and listen to feedback to improve the experience.

Vantagens:

Ease of creating professional looking organizers; digital signatures; custom fields and tags; filtering and reporting capabilities. Support is quick to respond!

Desvantagens:

I would love to be able to create sub or household accounts (example: for children under a parent account) that can later be separated out.

Comentários: Meh. If I had known how difficult it was to set up and how poor their support is, I would not have signed on.

the workflows, once you get them set up are handy

Desvantagens:

Support is lacking. The learning curve on TaxDome is extremely steep. It is so steep that third parties have lucrative businesses just to help you set up and understand how to use TaxDome. Getting a TaxDome support person is a long, adruous process. You cannot call a human, only a chat or schedule a 15 minute 1:1 a week out. If you need a longer support call, you might be able to schedule one in 2-3 weeks. Heaven help you if you you cannot get your ABO to sync with TaxDome, their engineering team refuses to believe their tool might not actually work. I give TaxDome's support ZERO stars

TaxDome is indispensable

Comentários: I use TaxDome every day. It's hard to imagine going back to working without it.

Vantagens:

TaxDome is the central hub for client information and communication. The new Client Requests make it easier to get information from clients. The chat is great for secure communication.

Desvantagens:

I wish it had an appointment scheduling module.

It will more than pay for itself

Comentários: There is a decent learning curve initially so attending the webinars is a must if you are not a self starter with software. There are videos everywhere, though, and I have never had trouble getting an answer. Payments come in same day now and I am mailing less paper so that alone paid for the software for me. I am spending more time right now getting clients onboarded than I will going forward so I think the real efficiencies will be in the second season with the software.

Vantagens:

This is my first year using TaxDome but so far it has really streamlined the delivery and signature process for me and consolidated the document delivery side. I still had clients emailing me sensitive information despite pleading with them to stop. One thing I did not anticipate is that I am now delivering half the paper returns I did before and people really like the ability to chat with me and see that status of their return when they log into the portal. Payments come in much faster too when you deliver the return hours after filing. The paperless return is real and TaxDome makes it easier than ever.

Desvantagens:

I let my early adoption clients self-register and it has resulted in duplicate accounts - I wish there was a way to merge them because I find that often a husband and wife who file jointly will self-register separately and if I do not catch it before they start uploading, I have to manually merge them to a joint account with two contacts and totally delete the additional account. If there were documents in the deleted account, I have to move those as well. I would say this reinforces the idea of a planned roll out with invitations to portal accounts that are already set up.

TD is Great, but it does need improvement

Comentários: Overall, TD is a must-have for professionals; there is no way to organize all work product for clients if you want to scale. So far, it has helped me grow every year, and my clients feel the difference in professionalism and love it.

Vantagens:

I love the ability to organize all my clients and the work we do for them in one place. I am able to create pipelines to ensure nothing is missed. I can invoice clients and have them pay through the app, which is a game changer.

Desvantagens:

TD can improve in several areas. For example, it does not have its own calendar. So, I have to rely on other calendaring software to ensure I do not over-task each day. Also, it would be so beneficial if the accounts were numbered, year of creation, and then numbering the accounts [25-0001- Johnson], for example. Finally, the Insights page, I think, should have more information, such as total accounts, total jobs open, and total jobs closed, and maybe separating them by job types, too, so we know what jobs are completed the most and which ones make the most money.

Automate with TaxDome

Comentários: I have been able to add so many more clients and have very few of them calling and email for status because of the automation and organization of the work through the pipeline process.

Vantagens:

The ability to customize the workflow process and automate many of the steps which saves me time and money.

Desvantagens:

The learning curve is a little steep but well worth it.

Comentários: Not bad. It's still not want I wanted for a job tracker but it's the best solution I've had so far. Didn't really think I would like the customer portal side of things, but now I love working with our clients who upload thier docs, I work the return, upload thier signature docs etc, GET PAID, all without having to make phone calls or emails etc.

Vantagens:

The constant updates, improvements, implementation of community suggestions. Also, the e-signing and customer portal side

Desvantagens:

OMFG everything needs a GD template!!!! And your template section sucks turkey giblets. Make templates groupable with folders or something. It's so hard to find the template we need. It's easier to use TextExpander instead.

Comentários: Transformative. I am a better leader of a CPA firm because I think differently now.

Vantagens:

The way it assists us to think through the details of each step of the tax preparation process, create automations that make our people more productive, keeps the clients up to date on status yet give the clients a personalized feeling of service without us needing to stop and "one-off" communicate, allows the team to be synchronized on status and next steps, ability to optimize workload and evaluate performance of team members, and the overall increase in quality of output because team members can focus on higher value services.

Desvantagens:

This really isn't a "con" but to fully understand the power of TaxDome and properly implement the processes and gain the largest portions of the higher quality output and increased efficiency, you need to reprogram your mind on how to run a CPA firm and take the time to understand and train your staff on pipelines, workflows, recurrences, linking to jobs, integrating everything. You need to commit to TaxDome being the central technology and engine of the firm for all aspects of production. TaxDome has amazing capabilities, and I can tell that the leadership of TaxDome is thinking correctly and being very insightful about the direction of development of the tool. For a firm to implement properly, the firm needs to think differently. When I finally surrendered to that, and fully understood it was imperative and good for the firm's future to commit and lean into the fundamental changes required, this firm has really started to realize significant benefits. It's sort of like you can't see it until you see it. It takes time and commitment to see it, but when you see it, wow!

Good overall - excited to see it be the best

Comentários: While there are ups and downs, overall its a good product that I know can and will get better.

Vantagens:

I like most of the updates - I finding new features that make my job easier and more efficient. I do feel for the most part TaxDome does listen to their users

Desvantagens:

There's bugs that take years to fix [example the email] - i understand that coding isn't cut and dry but I shouldnt have to wait over 2 years for the email error to be fixed. I wish there was more 1:1 with good ideas. The features page is good but there's items on there that a lot of traction but no action. I think having a select number of firms submit their top 10-15 ideas and then bring that to a webinar where its actively polled would push a lot of useful ideas and features to the front. I was also disappointed in my account manager this year. I had zero support. Zero check in. I know during our first [and only] meeting last year she was supposed to follow up with me on an item [cant remember cause it was so long] but heard nothing. This tax season was the roughest start and this was the third season. It was supposed to be very smooth sailing, unfortunately it was anything but. I wasted my last tax season prepping a huge document of necessary changes and challenges and nothing ever came of it. Why should I continue to waste my time offering feedback if the reply is always "cool thanks." Not happy about TaxDome removing posting and commenting ability on the FB group, especially during tax time when we want to engage with everyone and see how other firms are actively handling the season

Comentários: Good fit for our firm. Affordable price and good customer service.

Vantagens:

We use TaxDome as both a PMO tool & Client Portal. The ability to automate tasks and send messages & emails to clients is huge. I also like the client facing options available, for ex. the action updates & client tasks. TaxDome has also been constantly updating & adding new features.

Desvantagens:

- Inability to integrate with other apps- through Zapier or otherwise. -Cannot add packages to proposal - No option to switch the client option to pay CC fees -Wish the Organizer was more intuitive and could recognize PY data & sync.

Vantagens:

I enjoy TaxDome, it's constantly evolving and provides a great user experience. I love the fact that you can do so much securely, such as sending proposals and engagement letters, receiving payments, communicating with clients, sending organizers, setting up workflows and more. To top it off their customer support is excellent. I would recommend the software to any accountant or tax professional looking for an all-in-one online solution to work with their clients.

Desvantagens:

For now, the only con of the software I can think of is not being able to separate team access by type of service such as bookkeeping versus tax preparation which I am sure is on the work because they regularly collect feedback to improve and add new functionalities.

It is worth it!

Vantagens:

TaxDome is hard, but I love knowing TaxDome provides excellent support. I am learning every month how TaxDome can make our office more efficient. It is definitely a process, but one that is rewarding when it all comes together.

Desvantagens:

I feel like you really need to invest, which takes time - time to learn, time to implement, time to review and revamp. Once you invest time to learn and setup, it saves you the time you are looking for.

Comentários: Overall it's been a great tool and I'm glad that I chose TaxDome as my client management system for my tax practice.

Vantagens:

Tax Dome is a great product that is constantly making updates that are beneficial to those in the industry. It really has become a solution to minimize having multiple applications and can do most within it.

Desvantagens:

Last year, I felt like there were too many changes that weren't fully tested out and lots of bugs. I had issues with the organizer function among some other things. I would like to see more of these issues worked out before giving it to us to use because it impacts our clients experience.

Comentários: It has saved my bacon more time than I can count because it manages projects and keeps 95% of client communications in the platform, allowing the team to see and access each client's info anytime.

Vantagens:

It's as close to an all-in-one solution as I can find. While it is great for taxes it is also great for bookkeeping, payroll, and monthly services.

Desvantagens:

I wish you could port your existing phone number into the system.

Comentários: It has been a great experience. It was challenging at first and I still don't 100% understand how to do certain things with pipelines (maybe I need it to do something that isn't possible). Overall, I'm very pleased.

Vantagens:

I've been using TaxDome since 2021 (4 tax seasons). I didn't fully utilize all of the features during my first 2 years, and I still have more pipelines to set up, however, I have still been very pleased. This software can do as much or as little as you need based on your firm needs. I especially love that I can lock documents until the invoice is paid. This feature was a lifesaver! TaxDome is also continuously adding new features and improving on the old ones. I highly recommend TaxDome, especially if you are a virtual firm or hoping to move in that direction.

Desvantagens:

I would love to have automated replies when I'm out of the office. I would love a white label app (which I think is in the works). I'd also like to be able to offer more payment options. I invoice all tax returns through TaxDome, but everything else is invoiced through QBO because fees are somewhat less. Syncing my TaxDome to my QBO created a mess. I'd be afraid to attempt that again, but I'd possibly consider it if it was more seamless.

Comentários: My overall experience over the years has been 10/10, highly recommend

Vantagens:

The ability to discuss upgrades. The service, online tutorials and upgrades to the mobile app. We can sign documents , pull transcripts, upload documents, schedule appointments

Desvantagens:

We wish we could monthly payments. Also the price to add additional users or admin makes it more expensive for a solo proneur.

TD Review 2024

Comentários: Overall, it has helped my practice be more efficient across the board for me, my staff and my clients.

Vantagens:

its ease to find and organize things. I can navigate through the screens, check for data, get notified when clients upload data, etc

Desvantagens:

Billing can be improved a little but TD is constantly upgrading and improving so there is really nothing I hate about it.

Comentários: 2025 will be our 5th tax season using TaxDome. The first couple of years, we just used it for contact info, the client portal and e-signatures, with limited use of the workflows. Last year was the first year we started automating some of the processes, and making full use of the workflows. Still don't have full commitment of all of the members of our company.

Vantagens:

I like that I have all the client information in one place, and have access to it from the app. This way client contact information travels with me. I also like the automation of information that goes out to the client, to keep the updated on the progress of their return.

Desvantagens:

Learning curve can be a little steep, especially with setting up the workflows, and understanding how workflows, tasks, and jobs are related. Costs could be an issue with large firms.

Comentários: It was a rough start in 2020 when we started using it. It has improved in many ways, and we have learned to navigate and integrate it in many ways, Overall 95% of are clients interact with us using TaxDome and about half use the mobile app.

Vantagens:

Replaces many tools (document sharing, email, e-signature, payments, etc.) into one place. White labeling, Ability to send multiple clients the same email with short names at one time.

Desvantagens:

Lack of customization (colors, client interface, etc.). E-mails go out showing the name.taxdome.com rather than the custom domain. Inability to create a direct from home screen login, no option to require clients to use 2-FA.

Comentários: I got into TaxDome the end of 2020/2021. My company was getting to a point where our old systems weren't going to enable us to scale, so we were looking for a more inclusive option. I came across TaxDome from someone who had a course on making tax season easier, and when she shared the Workflows and Pipelines, I was sold. TaxDome has been the backbone of our tax season for the past few years.

Vantagens:

I love most the customizability of TaxDome and that it is Tax Specific based portal software with space to add in Advisory.

Desvantagens:

They've gotten pretty big, so I feel less connected to their team.

Comentários: We have been using Tax Dome for approximately three years. Besides our tax software, most everything we do for firm management and service delivery is done via Tax Dome. We were able to self-service most of the set-up and annual maintenance, supported by helpful online support videos and our dedicated technical rep.

Vantagens:

Tax Dome presents an all-in-one solution for firms, eliminating the need to have various fragmented software to manage clients, workflow, electronic signatures, communications and document storage. Their customer support is great as well!

Desvantagens:

Right now there are very few things I dislike. Nothing that is notable.

Vantagens:

Honestly, everything about it! From sending out your engagement letters, setting up pipelines, assigning tasks and jobs to your team members, bulk emailing clients, setting budget times on jobs/tasks. This program is everything a boutique accounting firm needs if you do tax preparation, sales tax, payroll, 1099-filings, bookkeeping, and so much more.

Desvantagens:

There are very few things i dont like about TaxDome, as they are a young company, I find that they are constantly improving and will come out with new and improved tools to help businesses such as ours. I'm excited to see these improvements and utilize them within our firm. If there is any "con/s" I would primarily say it comes from you taking a vast amount of time (depending on how many clients you have) to get everything fully set up in the program. Ex. Client list/contact info, Engagement letters if you have a lot of different engagements, pipelines, jobs, tasks, automations, emails, etc. It takes a lot of work and your valuable time to get things where you dream and aspire to be but thats where you need to bite the bullet and put in the work to improve your business and I believe the end result will pay off 10-fold! So take the time to learn the program, watch the videos, prepare for your onboarding meetings by watching the webinars so you have good questions to ask and even better catering those questions to YOUR business. How your clients would feel. Of course, there will be hicups along the way, it wont be "perfect" the first go around but thats how we learn and become better! Highly recommend taking your valuable time (business owners and all) to learn it, tweak it, cater it to your clients, and test it all on yourself so you can "see" what the clients will see.
