Vantagens:

Reporting and analytics help in planning for budgeting and understanding donor's giving capacity. The mobile app is very helpful in serving and recording donors' engagement even when I am on the go.

Desvantagens:

Trying to figure out how to send donor receipts was the most difficult task for me.

Affordable, lots of great features, detailed reporting

Comentários: The overall experience is great, the customer service representatives are always friendly and helpful via chat and phone.

Vantagens:

DonorPerfect has a simple and intuitive interface. I like that it has comprehensive options for gift processing, online forms, receipts, and default reports I never thought that I would need. I also like the Constant Contact integration to make sending out email blasts easier, along with other 3rd party platform integrations. It’s also relatively affordable compared to some of the more robust CRMs out there, which is great for small and medium sized nonprofits. One convenient feature is Instant Merge, which allows you to quickly generate a merged acknowledgment letter from a gift entry. The default gift settings allow you to enter a large batch of donations at once, saving both time and ensuring accuracy. DonorPerfect is also constantly working on fixes and new features.

Desvantagens:

Some changes I would like to see implemented in DP include: •The ability to use Global Update to delete or update Flags. •Streamlining some tedious processes that require too many clicks and fields to fill out. •The ability to merge duplicate codes like solicitation, general ledger, flags, etc. •The ability to edit default DP reports, since sometimes the default formatting is often not usable to us. •I would like to see a main profile field called “Status” and a drop-down list that includes Inactive and Deceased. Right now, all our deceased doors show as “Lapsed” and the only field for us to mark it is the “Do Not Mail Reason”. •We have not switched over to the new Online Forms module yet because the new forms don’t have all the features of the Classic Online Forms. We also have several dozen active forms, and if we are not able to easily convert our current Online Forms to the new version at some point it will be very tedious and time consuming to redo all of them.

Very robust program but difficult to use at times

Comentários: DP is a great program and has a lot of different options. I have found the sales department to be very lackluster in responding to different issues. We have gone through some staff changes recently and although the reporting function is very robust, it is difficult to learn so we are having to call DP all the time. Customer service is very easy to deal with.

Comentários: After only a month of using DonorPerfect, we are still finding additional features that will help in our fundraising efforts. Overall, our experience with DonorPerfect has been excellent. By using DonorPerfect, all of our system platforms are integrated in one place and all donor interactions is recorded within the system. We also can see that DonorPerfect will be helpful in time management.

Vantagens:

Our reason for switching to DonorPerfect is that is has helped us move all our components for fundraising into one product. By using DonorPerfect, all of our system platforms are integrated in one place and records all donor interaction within the system. Previously, our email & text communications were not recorded in the donor system. We also like the "scheduled donor outreach" which appears on the Home screen. Using Donor Perfect has removed the duplicate entry of data which saves time and reduces data entry error.

Desvantagens:

Using the Chat Feature sometimes takes awhile before someone logs into the chat to help us. In addition, because of the difference in time zones, we find that the window of time for us to receive help can be challenging. However, with that said, the DonorPerfect team has been helpful in resolving any issues we are having as we learn the system. The Receipting function feels a bit "clunky" at times but we are learning to work within the system.

DonorPerfect

Comentários: I've been using DonorPerfect for the last 4 years. Overall, I really like the program. Each time I've received help through customer service chat, the representatives have been extremely helpful. Or if you have a zoom meeting with an instructor, they are outstanding and knowledgeable in teaching you new things.

Vantagens:

Extremely easy to navigate while either entering donations or requesting a certain report. Having advanced search options to locate a donor really has helped in many situations that I've encountered. By just entering either the donor's email or home address you are able to locate that donor. I really like on the search page that it show's a lifetime giving amount as well as last donation and amount. Another great feature is that you are able to create your own thank you letters to your donors.

Desvantagens:

Having to click on email or print letter for your thank you receipt. It should just automatically default to letter. Sending an email to your donor that is requesting one, typically you send a copy of the letter that would be mailed to the donor through email. Or if you would send an email, it should pertain to that specific donor if you needed to add anything. Maybe in the future, when a donor requests the donation to be in memory of someone that a card could be sent to the family letting them know of the donation.

Comentários: DPO has streamlined so much of the donor tracking work. I use it nearly every day even if it's to answer a question about a single donor.

Vantagens:

DPO tracks as much or as little information as you want about a donor. It's a quick way to look up a single donor history OR create a report about giving history for a specific group. The customer service is also exceptional and knowledgeable.

Desvantagens:

The learning curve. Some tasks are a little harder to catch on to if it's not someones full time job to manage the system. That being said, the DPO team can throw a complicated filter together no problem!

Comentários: As a non-profit executive since 2007, I have had the opportunity to work with various donor management systems, and DonorPerfect stands out as one of the best. It is incredibly simple and easy to use, making it an excellent choice for non-profit organizations, especially those that frequently host special events. The platform is well-designed to meet the needs of non-profits without the need for extensive customization. One of the standout features of DonorPerfect is its seamless integration with QuickBooks and Constant Contact, which streamlines financial management and communication efforts. While many organizations might consider spending thousands on a software platform to customize it to their needs, DonorPerfect offers a comprehensive, ready-to-use solution that handles everything effectively. I strongly recommend giving DonorPerfect a try. It's a well-rounded platform that can support your organization's goals and simplify your processes, allowing you to focus more on your mission and less on managing data.

Easy to use for all staff, special events module, and integration with other software.

Desvantagens:

I would prefer that the volunteer module had an API with Volgistics.

Best CRM for nonprofits

Vantagens:

DonorPerfect really helped increase donations! It is the best CRM for nonprofits because it is easy to use and implement and it is specifically set up for nonprofit fundraising instead of being a normal CRM that businesses use.

Desvantagens:

I can’t think of much that there isn’t to love about Donor Perfect. I guess some of the reports options are a little less intuitive than other features. But overall I’m really searching to find a downside.

Happy with DonorPerfect

Comentários: Overall, it's been much easier to segment our donors and personalize their experience. We feel much more confident using DP than our previous software, because it's easier to pull reports, etc.

Vantagens:

Setting up DP was very easy and we were able to customize several field. The ability "globally update" has proven to be a very useful tool. We like the ability to customize our pages to suit our needs.

Desvantagens:

Some of the add-ons are too expensive for our organization to purchase, however, we can see how those tools would be useful, so it's a bit frustrating.

Look no farther! If you've found Donor Perfect just take it for a test drive and then buy!

Comentários: We are a small non profit that has a huge database. The ease with which we can utilize the same records in one office in the USA and a second office overseas is incredible.

Vantagens:

I love every feature Donor Perfect has to offer! They make it so easy to run and manage over 30,000 records with ease. All databases cost something, it was a hard adjustment to make paying the monthly fee, however, I found that it was my most worthwhile and least expensive employee. Paying for Donor Perfect solved so many problems and made every employee's job so much easier. We didn't know what we were missing until we tried Donor Perfect.

Desvantagens:

I can't think of one thing that I really dislike about Donor Perfect. The email feature is a little weak, but we knew that going in, and there are work arounds. It works!

DONORPERFECT is the PERFECT CRM

Comentários: DP's reports are so easy to use and to learn to use. Overall, I wouldn't change CRMs for nothing - I have used 2 others in my past experience and DP tops them all as far as user friendly and not knowing how to do something... CHAT is your new best friend!

Vantagens:

I absolutely love donor perfect! It is so easy to use and was a piece of cake when transitioning from another software to DonorPerfect! The reports are so easy to setup and if you ever run into a problem - all you have to do is jump on CHAT and they will help you with whatever your need is!

Desvantagens:

I really don't know of anything that is my least favorite about Donorperfect! If you ever have a problem - just jump on CHAT and they are so courteous and patient with those that are just learning the system. DP fits perfectly into our day to day practices in our non-profit.

Vantagens:

DonorPerfect has been essential in running our NPO for the last eight years. From gift management, monthly pledges, security of our constituents information and overall reporting, DonorPerfect is the absolute go to recommendation I make to any of my NPO colleagues.

Desvantagens:

The initial set-up is time consuming when done yourself, but DonorPerfect does have a service to do that for you.

Comentários: Overall DonorPerfect has met our needs and grown with us over the past 10 years. We are very happy with the support team that has worked with us to troubleshoot and advise us on how to best utilize our system for optimal results.

Vantagens:

When researching different products to find our fundraising CRM solution, we looked at many different options. Most did not include all the functionality we needed or were too expensive for a small to medium non profit. DonorPerfect fit our needs and budget.

Desvantagens:

The transition from our old system to DonorPerfect was not smooth.

Comentários: DonorPerfect offers everything we need in a CRM database. The phone app, while not offering everything you get from the full site, is more than sufficient for plugging in to get information on the go.

Vantagens:

Donor Perfect is very user-friendly. The Quickbooks integration is vital. Constant Contact integration is a feature we never knew we needed.

Desvantagens:

There are some limitations in reporting that can usually be worked around in some way, but can feel like you're coding more than running reports. That area is less user-friendly for our older employees.

Good Foundation, Could Use More on the Development Side

Comentários: I like DonorPerfect and I'm glad we decided to go with them last year. We are going to review the price and time efficiency as we near the renewal date to see if we will continue. So far it's still better than using nothing, which is where we were before.

Vantagens:

*Excellent training and onboarding phase *Large library of reports *"Voting" feature in the knowledge base *Lightening-fast support, even on the Payment Processing Gateway side. EXCELLENT service on the Gateway!

Desvantagens:

*Entirely too much clicking for people who know data entry *Seemingly standard features on any webform like "select all" or "clear all" are not available *Customers required to go into settings to modify defaults that should automatically be default if the developers consider people who do data entry. Example I'm thinking of is the use of the "TAB" key on the keyboard. It should logically go from first name to last name, to address, etc. It didn't so I had to place a ticket to change it in the settings. There could stand to be more thought on the development side, possibly pull in more people who are users and let them test-drive and give feedback before releasing it.

Powerful yet easy touse!

Over the years I have used a plethora of software. What makes DP the winner is how easy it is to customize the screens for various types of roles the various users may have.

Desvantagens:

To be brutally honest, there is a very steep learning curve. The youTube page has great tutorials and the DP User Community is a great resoirce

An Indispensable Tool

Comentários: I use DonorPerfect every day to generate reports, record donations, create thank-you letters, and collect online donations. In short, I'm a big fan.

Vantagens:

The longer you use it, the more valuable it becomes. While it was an essential resource the first year we deployed it, after 6 years it provides an historical record that we can use in so many ways

Desvantagens:

I still find some of the online donation and ticket forms very clunky. And I wish DP could accommodate team-based peer-to-peer fundraising.

Time to Pay only for what you need to get started and then grow!

Comentários: I like to share this with those who let me talk about DP experience is. Our previous software was "alright" but it would have cost almost $3k for training (as I was new to the role) and I had to speak the software language. With DP it is easy and intuitive and free training is ALWAYS available via webinars (which were very similar to my in-depth personal training). DP versus other higher-cost versions of donor platforms is what Windows was to DOS. DP is easy to use, learn and navigate - the key to more people using it to have a good system.

Vantagens:

Ease of intergration. Ease of showing others how to use, not annual contracts, always access to support via chat (which is awesome btw) and most importantly training videos/webinars that don't require a university degree to understand (which means more people use the system!)

Desvantagens:

Things that you don't realize you want, do come at additional cost. Examples are OnlineForms PLUS and Smart Automations. Found out about these from webinars AFTER our purchase. We have started to be really "efficient" with our system and are doing more, which means more additional costs which can add up (so maybe more combined add-on packages could be developed?)

We LOVE DonorPerfect!

Comentários: We use DonorPerfect to track everything. The reports are most helpful.

Vantagens:

I have used DonorPerfect at two organizations and have been very happy! Having a 14 year old database program at my previous organization, my job was to research and find a new program for us. I looked at everything and decided on DonorPerfect. It wasn't the Cadillac (we couldn't afford) or the Yugo (we needed more power), but it was "just right"! When I moved to my new position in a new organization, there was no database - everything had been tallied on separate spreadsheets. The decision was easy and we purchased DonorPerfect. We haven't looked back!

Desvantagens:

Custom reports took a little while to conquer, but it's smooth sailing now.

Donor Perfect Review

Comentários: I don't think we did a great job of tracking donor retention rates or lapsed donors before. Now with DP we are easily able to run the reports and be more proactive with those individuals.

Vantagens:

I like that it is incredibly user friendly and easy to learn. It's incredibly helpful when volunteers are helping or new people come on board. I also love the ease of pulling reports. They have so many prebuilt reports to chose from by I can also quickly and easily create my own and even better I can edit it if I don't get it right the first time. I'm constantly learning new tricks and tools as I gain confidence with the system and as our needs change as an organization. We've had the system for a little over two years and last year I didn't know I could easily generate different data and charts for our Annual Report, learning that made life so much easier. I also have to rave about the support team because so often I feel like I am calling with a basic or dumb question but they are always nice, walk me through it and then send a follow up email with the instructions in case I forget. They are so kind and patient!

Desvantagens:

It's never that I don't like the system but more than I have to learn how to get it to do what I need. My brain thinks it should work one way but they have the system programmed to operate another. It's more just spending time in the system and learning all the different ways it works and can work for you. One thing that drives me out is when it logs me out. If I've been out of the program for a little bit I can understand, it's frustrating but I do understand. What I don't understand is when I'll literally be in the middle of entering a gift or something and it will log me out, forcing me to start over. Not the worst thing in the world but still vexing at times. I also wish that the Company Name & the individuals Last Name didn't pull from the same data point so it was a little easier to run mail lists but I've found workarounds in excel once the report is pulled.

A good CRM software for smaller organizations

Comentários: Overall, coming from a larger organization that used a different program I do like DonorPerfect. Is it perfect, no, it's not, and there is a learning curve to get all the ins and outs down, but for managing donations, pulling financial reports, and basic ease of use, it is a good program. I prefer DonorPerfect to the "bigger" software that was used at my previous employer.

Vantagens:

DonorPerfect is fairly user friendly. It is intuitive to search if you only give a few letters of a name it'll search through and give you good matches. I like the merge duplicates feature that allows you to merge records together quickly, I also like the email feature to thank donors directly from their records. The customer support via chat is great, very quick, prompt, and always able to zero in on how to help.

Desvantagens:

Having to upload letter templates for thank-you letters to print and mail; having over 18 different templates that have to be constantly updated as the year progresses becomes a bit of a big task. Also, there are many amazing features with DonorPerfect that unfortunately are an additional charge; the trainings focus on these features a bunch, which if you don't pay the extra to have them, the trainings become not very helpful. You cannot merge households together, so couples either have to have separate records or you have to create one record using "and" between their names, which becomes problematic for tax purposes, record pulling, and future issues (divorce, death, etc.). If you use a program to run a silent auction or other event type software, they will not sync seamlessly with DonorPerfect; the only one that does is Ready Set Auction (which is connected to DonorPerfect).

Catholic High Recommends DonorPerfect

Comentários: Again, their Customer Support is the best I have ever experienced with a software solution. They are responsive and teach you "how to fish" instead of "fishing" for you.

Vantagens:

DonorPerfect offers an easy-to-set-up solution for our needs in Alumni/Parent/Donor CRM, online campaign forms with multiple payment options that are efficient, and donor contribution tracking and reporting. The system is easy to use and provides the functionality to create additional fields to meet our needs. Customer Support is AMAZING!

Desvantagens:

They need to add improved functionality around Capital Campaign processing and reporting. They do have a mechanism to submit ideas to improve the product but sometimes you have to wait for other users to raise the same issue before it makes its way into the product. It would also be great if we could set up an automated integration to update our data records when there are changes in address, phone number, and email in our schools' CRM so we do not have to update the records manually and can be assured that both systems are in sync.

Surprisingly Powerful

Comentários: When I first joined the organization, they had been entering certain data for years but had no idea how to report on it. This was a great starting place to learn the power of the reporting feature.
We also began to use Donor Perfect to track moves management and major donors, and I constantly used the platform.

Vantagens:

After some experiential learning, I was able to capture and easily report on so much data, which made my overall fundraising and communications easier (though it never feels easy at the time). The custom fields and reporting stand out as some of the features I used the most. I was able to add up tax-deductible amounts from certain donation periods and have them reported on the donor demographic form, so I was easily able to see and report on certain specific tax credits. The general reports, from cash flow, to average gift amounts and every possible AFP fundraising metric we such as blessing - and something I miss now that I am at a new org with a different database.

Desvantagens:

While I could do donation processing through Donor Perfect, and embed the form on the page, at the time, the form was a little rough around the edges. I could match colors, but that was about it. Perhaps now there is a CSS you can paste to make it a little more seamless. It should be noted that this is a problem with a lot of donation processing pages with different database companies, in my experience.
