Vantagens:

Eu gostei muito da confiabilidade e eficiência do Oracle Database como usuário. Ele consegue lidar com grandes quantidades de dados de forma impressionante, garantindo a integridade deles. Bom sistema de dados

Vantagens:

Um bom sistema que integra diversas plataformas, atualmente a utilizo para banco de dados de candidatos e para prestação de contas, os sistema é bem fluido e diverso

Desvantagens:

O design do sistema me parece ultrapassado e pouco intuitivo, é um ponto a ser melhorado

Fácil de utilizar, dinâmico, essencial...

Nada a reclamar, o software é bom, conforme acima.

para a pesquisa no banco de dados a ferramenta funciona bem, sem demora

para o meu uso nao tenho uma critica ao produto

Achei complicado para instalar algumas configurações.

Excelent RDBS, but, not the best one

Vantagens:

Strong and robust RDBS, provides several features and capabilities.

Desvantagens:

It's harder to use and implement compared to other options in the market.

Oracle overview

Vantagens:

Our team worked well with Oracle's database. It is easy to install and configure the database.

Desvantagens:

It does not has the better support of the world.

Not worth the money and time

Comentários: Not recommended for really predator prices and lack of support.

Vantagens:

I had to use it because it came from a proprietary provider as it a special case use.

Desvantagens:

The documentation is lacking and the most useful guides are provided by [sensitive content hidden] who unfortunately passed away this year. It really has a hard learning curve and the prices are extremely high. For a core, the prices started from $16k + taxes plus $5k + taxes for annual support. Also, you can't install Oracle on any common cloud environment as it will try to force you to buy licenses for all the capacity of the hypervisor. A basic Oracle specialized server costs nearly $500 a month with a major ISP provider in my country. This is not viable for a starting company.

Accurate but Expensive DB

Comentários: Overall, the Oracle DB brings the value to your organization in numerous ways. You must have some people trained very well on this DB. It's little old fashioned but brings the best of its kind, with ability to scale up and down based on your need.

Vantagens:

Accurate information collected and grouped into meaning full tables. Highly customizable database with ability to connect with other DB with APIs.

Desvantagens:

Compared to the other DB in the market the Oracle DB is little user friendly and less sophisticated. Tools and icons in the DB itself must be remembered for fluent use. Limited analytics is available unless you want to pay more for the additional analytics and BI.

Vantagens:

Lightweight, pretty easy to use. TNS files make it easy to make sure everyone has the same connections. No real issues.

Desvantagens:

Having to use a third party software like TOAD or SQL Developer to access it can be a pain and annoying at times. As well with having a Linux-based backend it can be difficult to find the right DBA.

My experience using Oracle database

Comentários: I worked on a project was about an e-commerce website.
The Customer told me that he wants his database on Oracle program.
the program was a bit difficult to use and needs practice to become easy.

Vantagens:

Scalability, High Availability, Data Integrity and security. It provides top-notch security and that is why the banking sector mostly uses Oracle as there is a back end database.

Desvantagens:

I had trouble installing the program on my laptop, as it is very complicated to install. I had a lot of errors when I deleted it and reinstalled it, after much effort, contacting support, and watching videos on YouTube of how to completely remove it in order to install it again, and this took me a lot of time.

It is a very solid database, with a lot of official and community support and documentation. Very good for those who want to start with database management.

Desvantagens:

With all of its features, it can be heavy and complex.

Best in the market for data storage, analytics, migration. Great support and easy to use.

Desvantagens:

Duplicates isssues was prevalent when I used. It is easy to get it resolved though.

I have used oracle database mainly because of its scalability and high performance and because of that, it can handle high transactional data. It supports ACID properties and SQL PL/SQL languages to perform operations. It supports data backup, security and data replication.

Desvantagens:

The cost and resource consumption is high.

Comentários: Database is a must for every organization. oracle and SQL server is the most widely used databases
oracle is most advanced database with SQL , cloud and admin support.

Vantagens:

Easy to use , comprehensive SQL support, PL/SQL is the most advanced. Hugh data storage , scalable and cloud-ready.

Desvantagens:

As compared to SQL Server , SQL developer is looking very simple but you can use toad for SQL.

Best Enterprise database solution

Comentários: I have more than 3 years of experience in database industry. In my experience , I can say Oracle database is the best enterprise grade database for any industry. As a service integration company, we always recommend clients to have Oracle databases in their environment. During my career, I have never seen a any data loss incident related to Oracle database. Oracle database has very larger community as well. So it was very easy to troubleshoot issues, even without paid vendor support

Vantagens:

+ Enterprise features such as High availability, Concurrency, Disaster Recovery. + Comprehensive documentation from Oracle. + Best vendor support -paid + Best security features such as encryption, data masking , redaction and auditing + Maximum Availability architecture to provide best protection to our data + Performance monitoring capabilities

Desvantagens:

+ Enterprise licence are very costly. + Data Gurad licence sold separately. + Not easy to Install,configure and maintain, need high skilled resources.

It is considered the database manager par excellence worldwide, however it has its detractors

Comentários: I have learned a lot using Oracle, it would be great if it were not so expensive, as well as being certified in it. It is important to know that a well-crafted database will work in any database manager, Oracle can not solve faults or problems in a poorly-related database

- An Oracle license is very expensive, so it is not accessible to everyone. - Staff with knowledge in Oracle is equally expensive, information costs money! - It is difficult to access information related to the driver, its configuration and maintenance. - For DBA without experience, a configuration is complicated by the amount of details that must be consider. - If you do not have a graphical interface to work with Oracle, you should have knowledge in commands to work in consoles or terminals.

Why use Oracle Database

Comentários: My experience with Oracle has been as administrator and developer which gives me an overview of the projects and has allowed me, thanks to the tools it provides, to achieve projects that with other database managers could not have been successfully completed, that is, the multiple tools provided by oracle are very helpful although the examples and the documentation seem scarce

Vantagens:

Desvantagens:

As a disadvantage I think that the way to handle the downloads of the connection drivers for the different platforms is a bit tedious since other databases do not require so much protocol to download the drivers. it may be necessary in some cases to document about the new functionalities because the examples provided by the provider are not so clear and / or non-existent

The most important services is middleware, 3-4 madule can connect and generate output as per desired, For Costing point of view, We can connect Meterial Management system & inventory Management system and Billing management system to produce final costing of a product.Secondly its very easy to modify the oracle forms, reports and Formulas.Through multiple languages we can modify Oracle forms.Third its cloud services, for multi-branches organization we can avail its cloud services, from these services we can collect data form every branch at one window. We can cloud partial data for public and complete data for employees based on organization behaviour.

Desvantagens:

Complexity is the main issue of oracle data base, Non technical user cannot use it properly.During Development Error Expectation is high due to its Senstivity of character.

Best Relational Database Platform in market

Comentários: I used Oracle database for programming application logics for a technician management applications for a client. I also used Oracle database to support database layer for several of my clients in my career so far.

Vantagens:

I have been using Oracle Database since the version 10g. I have had a chance to work on several other database platforms like Sybase, MS SQL and MySQL. Oracle database comes with tons of features which many of the other databases don't have. I am not sure if i can say that other way round for other databases i have used. It's quite complicated to learn and definitely complicated to master, but it provides you with enough tools to do complicated tasks quite easily. You can also code your application programming languages using it's native PL/SQL language. Oracle Database also let's you make calls to Java programs and embed some Java inside the PL/SQL.

Desvantagens:

It's costly! It's quite costly if you are using it for small businesses. Some of the very sophisticated features are only available for enterprise version of Oracle Database which is quite costly. Oracle is very price oriented, so be careful about the budget when you chose Oracle Database.
