Arena PLM a perfect solution.

Comentários: It has been very positive. Arena PLM makes product management easy.

Vantagens:

It is a great single source of truth for our products that links into our eQMS system without the need to build out complex software in our other systems.

Desvantagens:

Integration options. When we reviewed the integration options with our operational systems(ERP,CRM) there were not a lot of turnkey options. We would then have to build out and maintain these on our own.

Arena PLM and E-QMS

Comentários: Gain of time and reliability of information, especially during audits.

Vantagens:

The centralisation of all documentation, quality and development processes, and the ease with which they can be monitored.

Desvantagens:

BOM Management. It is not possible to freeze a BOM with defined revisions. When a children Item is updated, it is automatically pushed in BOM.

Functional but could have better usability

Vantagens:

The search menu is intuitive and easy to use

Desvantagens:

Creating new entries and searching doesn't have any smart features like auto complete.

Comentários: It has been a good one, their support team responds in a timely manner and takes action to address issues.

Vantagens:

I like how user friendly is their application. Very easy to navigate and configure different settings. It has useful tabs/fields which can be all very customizable.

Desvantagens:

Some fields limitations and customizations, like defining minimum/maximum number of characters for each field.

It's very user friendly even without asking someone to help on how to use it.

Easy to Use

Comentários: Overall, I find it easier to use than similar programs at previous companies I've worked with. I would choose it over others.

Vantagens:

The user interface is fairly organized and easy to read. Navigating the site to find what I need is easy enough.

Desvantagens:

Sometimes the search function is not as sensitive as I need it to be and I have to find different combinations before I find what I'm looking for.

ARENA Feedback

Comentários: I use it all the time for CAPA and NCR investigation

Vantagens:

Easy to use and navigate. The platform has all required fields needed to execute an investigaton.

Desvantagens:

Not easy to use for metrics reporting on NCR by supplier or per problem statement

ARENA review 9-16-24, primary user.

Comentários: Awesome tool once you get practiced using it. I have been an ARENA user for about 10 years and still have some difficulty with the features I do not use regularly. Overall, it is a powerful tool that serves our needs well.

Vantagens:

ARENA does exactly what we need it to do. It has the flexibility to handle all our documentation.

Desvantagens:

Not the most intuitive, quite a substantial learning curve to get proficient with it.

A Great PLM for Medical Device Manufacturers.

Comentários: Close integration with our Contract Manufacturers and Suppliers. Ability to link the PLM with Non-Conformances (NC), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and Complaints.

Vantagens:

Ease of use, customization, integration with Arena QMS, CADTALK, Rimsys, and FlowEQ.

Desvantagens:

The Help Pages are text only; remember, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Comentários: I have had great experiences with Arena, I have been able to access everything I needed pretty quickly.

Vantagens:

Since I started using Arena, it has been reliable.

Desvantagens:

Some days the server can be a bit slow but not for too long

Vantagens:

Arena is a straightforward tool to learn and use.

Desvantagens:

The search feature within Arena is terrible and it seems to get stuck with Chrome and firefox unless cookies are deleted weekly. The search feature is limited to a limited "world", and gets stuck with limiters (e.g. search only within completed changes) that aren't apparent when starting a search. If you don't know the naming conventions used prior, Arena makes finding information time-consuming.

Great SaaS Offering

Comentários: i had a very easy onboarding of SAML SSO with my Azure tenant.
easy to implement and tighten security for my tenant.

Vantagens:

the GUI is built in a very neat and user friendly way. the support is very professional. systems is very versatile

Desvantagens:

Not sure yet, i have a very good experience with this SaaS as an Administrator.

Great system for a small company

Comentários: It's been pretty great. it definitely has a learning curve to get things set up and understanding what you can do, but once that's done, it's pretty straightforward to use

Vantagens:

I liked how easy it was to see how each part and product is connected across Bill of Materials and revisions.

Desvantagens:

I don't like that we can't overwrite a revision in Design.

Comentários: So far so good. But there is a scope for improvement with regard to running reports.

Vantagens:

I like the intuitive interface where you could dig deep in the BOM with regards to Sourcing, Where used etc..

Desvantagens:

The ability to run reports and the customization aspect of things. Also the lack of ability to add in columns with respect to the requirements of the company

Arena PLM - How can it be improved?

Vantagens:

Nevertheless, the system maintains the principles of basic PLM system.

Desvantagens:

It is very difficult to search for items in the arena. In any case, if you find it, you can't see the whole picture.Lack of connectivity and work order.When a BOM is requested in Excel, the file is opened in the old Microsoft Excel version. Is it possible to update?SAP is not synchronize to Arena.OrCAD CIS database is not synchronize to Arena.

I like that things are in steps. Makes it easier.

Desvantagens:

Our old software let you put in a MPN and will basically create the part for you. I really miss that. Often I forget to add sourcing because it’s in a whole new tab. Also searching can be improved, outs hard to find the parts you want.

Support our eQMS/PLM Needs

Vantagens:

The product has the built in features we require but allow us to configure them to suit our needs.

Desvantagens:

There is a steep learning curve when onboarding new employees.

Essential PLM tool for large companies

Vantagens:

The document control, the BOM, the ability to connect multiple components of manufacturing needs via links for different projects and the 'where used' tab..it all makes Arena PLM an essential tool for any manufacturing departments

Desvantagens:

The learning curve is rather steep. You would need someone's active help to understand how it is used for your own company's needs.

Arena,

Comentários: Support folks are good, software is stable and will allow us to present to auditors what we do and how we do it.

Vantagens:

Integration was a bit time consuming and that is on me; should have started with initial intent (Quality process's) and then moved to items- which we finally have a grasp of.

Desvantagens:

User interface still is a hang up as we on board / cross train new folks

It needs some efforts to start with it, but it worth it.

Comentários: Good product organization, and control of the history of all revisions for all components, even their end of life.
Suppliers use it as well.

Vantagens:

THat after you add your products, then easily you can find each detail in it and the history review.

Desvantagens:

The time it needed to learn the process, and start to implement it. but it is like that when you start to learn a new process.

Comentários: Excellent

Vantagens:

Searching for parts and pulling up the drawings to compare them to like parts. Also to look up BOMs to see what we need for certain assemblies.

Desvantagens:

Adding parts to an assembly is one by one. Would be nice to be able to add multiple parts in one go.

Great for planning an expansion without risking huge CapEx.

Comentários: Overall this is a really great product. The high level actions are easy to understand, and there are even graphics that can be used as specific inputs and outputs so that a presentation can have products rather than widgets. Also, the negatives of the strange statistical anomalies really are not a big deal. An experienced operations manager or engineer will know what to pay attention to and what is noise.

Vantagens:

This program's biggest upside is its ability to provide a testing ground for potential upgrades, expansions, or new factories, facilities, etc. without needing to spend huge dollars on a physical pilot or building or the labor cost of a time study or statistical analysis from a Black Belt or other highly paid employee

Desvantagens:

Some of the random variables do not take into account reality well enough. I understand that true AI is not possible right now, but the fact is that purely statistics based tools can produce results that would never occur in the real world (i.e. A factory only attempts to build 3 units in an entire day and 3,000 the next day because it is possible in a Poisson Process).
