eSub delivers a quality product that is easy to use and meets all of our needs.

Comentários: eSub provides a great cloud-based solution that meets all of our project management and project tracking needs. As a subcontractor, it was nice to finally find a software solution that is tailored to the needs of subs and our work flow. It is easy to use and it has been easily adopted by all of our users, both in the office and in the field. I find that it covers all of the processes of a subcontracting workflow simply, but it is not simplistic. It is a sophisticated piece of software that has increased our internal efficiency and our external "appearance" to our clients. The only small complaint I've had so far with this software is the inability to share some common project submittal information between old and new projects, but this would be a great extra, not a deal killer at all. We have been very happy with eSub's continued enhancements and their technical support staff is very helpful and very easy to get a hold of. I'd rate their support team among the best that I've encountered over the years. If you are a subcontracting firm looking for project management/project tracking software, eSub provides a great solution and is a great value for the price. I'd highly recommend it.

Great product

We’ve had esub for some years now and I love it. Easy to use and very accurate.

Nothing that I can think of. Everyone is different. I would say give it a try.

eSUB Review

Comentários: The system works a lot better than it did a year ago. It used to take forever to open Timecard Management or wouldn't open at all and I was having to manually enter payroll, but now I don't have that problem.

Vantagens:

The export feature so time doesn't have to be manually entered in our Payroll system

Desvantagens:

I have to open each and every single job each week to save the Daily Reports and to know what jobs need to be included to export and it takes quite a bit of time. It would be nice if you could just populate daily reports created that week.

Ease of eSUB

Comentários: I like eSUB for keeping track of time and progress on the job. Can quickly look at comments or pictures to see what's getting done.

Vantagens:

Helps track job information for office and field.

Desvantagens:

Sometimes, loading pictures in Field Notes takes some time.

eSUB

Vantagens:

It's online. It has a visual graphic to represent hours used versus budget

Desvantagens:

Phases are not listed numerically, along with many other things where it would make sense. Unable to copy an employees timecard over from the previous week- or hold a default timecard that you could fill in - with an appearance like an excel sheet which would save a lot of time for entry. Unable to export phases for time keeping- which causes manual entry at the end. Everything has to be manually entered.

eSub Review

Comentários: Very good and love the product. It would be a different world without it.

Vantagens:

The ease of use and keeping organized. The flexibility to use on the go. The ability to look at documents in the field

Desvantagens:

Not too much to dislike. The product is sound and battle tested.

ESUB summary

Comentários: I like using ESUB. Only platform I’ve used but like showing work performed in certain areas and capturing hours daily

Vantagens:

Easy input for job descriptions. Keeping track of hours and submitting for payroll

Desvantagens:

The delay I get on finishing a daily report and the process of deleting a crew if needed

Quality product

Vantagens:

It is simple to use and provides a one stop shop for time keeping and construction documents.

Desvantagens:

Occasionally time keeping changes dont save and have to be done again before they take.

Worth the money

Comentários: Love it! The best things about it are keeping track of everything

Vantagens:

The way you can track lost time to jobs and keeping track of workers time.

Desvantagens:

Kinda hard to navigate to some areas. For instance trying to figure out how to print a weekly time sheet that included everyone on the job and the amount of hrs they worked.

If you are not using PM software you are losing money

Comentários: Communication between the field/project manager/ and accounting. We're truly capturing dollars that used to be lost. Very happy with eSub and recommend it to all of my "friendly" colleagues.

Vantagens:

The software has allowed us to communicate efficiently between the operations in the field and the project manager. More efficiently capturing change order dollars that used to be lost.

Desvantagens:

I understand why the system is so robust but there ought to be a way to streamline e-mailing documents to general contractors. Once it is initially set up on the first e-mail it should not be that I MUST make the same selections every time. Default should be to include support documents. Subject line for change order e-mails should be the project/CO#/CO Subject.

Excellent for payroll

Vantagens:

I like being able to use my smart phone to create daily reports for creating time cards

Desvantagens:

sometimes using the iphone will not connect online, or will freeze and i'll have to recreate a report, or close the program and re open it.

Good Software

Vantagens:

I typically use E-sub to generate submittals, purchase orders and change orders. It's super effective for this, as i can attach documents to the submittal as well and it helps keep me organized and have all of my submittals in one place.

Desvantagens:

Sometimes the software can be glitchy and will not allow me to add certain files/takes a long time to load.

Vantagens:

Time management would be what I like most about this software program.

Desvantagens:

Finding jobs and workers. It would be nice to be able to have a search bar where you can type in jobs and worker names instead of drop down menus. You have to scroll through a lot to get what you are looking for.

Vantagens:

Easy to navigate and simple. It's easy to log in to with no issues. I am usually in the purchase orders and scheduling.

Desvantagens:

The only thing I dont like is you have to make sure your contacts for a new job is in there because sometimes they dont show up in the vendor contacts.

Comentários: It has been beneficial but always need improvement.

Vantagens:

Daily Reports features but if the Foreman don't document they are still useless.

Desvantagens:

Not being able to be specific with change order cost codes per project. not being able to create a GC contact list from all ongoing projects .

Review

Vantagens:

I love the logs and how everything is organized from most recent to oldest. This function is quite good.

Desvantagens:

File upload is capped off at 25MB. Bigger size uploads and previous for those files would be really helpful. Especially on a mobile app. In addition, the rates for change orders need to be saved. This feature is in use, however it affects all projects (including past projects). LAUSD projects have different costs in comparison to other projects.. So adding a keyword that will save these costs in the future would be very helpful in the long run.

Comentários: From when I personally started using eSUB, back in 2015, I have never felt uneasy about the software. I have always had the confidence in using the software because of the very first and initial meeting, deployment, and support I have received from the eSUB support team and those special people who have managed our account! When you take the time to show a customer/user how your product can impact their productivity and success in a positive way, you've gained more than their business, you've gained loyalty!

Vantagens:

Our 7 year partnership with eSUB has been an inspiring one! Over the years we have seen improvements in the software and when we have questions, concerns, or need further instruction for use of eSUB, we are able to get a response and dedicated support!

Desvantagens:

The software currently is not fully customizable, but we have been assured that this is all changing once eSUB 2.0 is fully released and available for us to deploy all phases.

Great Platform for Subcontractors

Comentários: We love eSub! We left to try what we were led to believe would be the "best in class" platform and it could not hold a candle to eSub in almost every respect.

Vantagens:

This platform is easy to deploy and very easy to use.

Desvantagens:

I believe the items we have issues with will be addressed in 2.0, eventually.

The site is very slow, weather data on daily reports is inconsistent with the National Weather Service, and the website is extremely low security, if you have a valid login you can type URLs in that you shouldn't have access to an see everything.

ESUB Review

Comentários: Top view the program is great. Diving into it, the faults start to show. Does not help either as soon as we completed the on boarding, communication from the rep fell off and left us hanging.

Vantagens:

All in one place for project tracking. Basic to use.

Desvantagens:

- Purchasing taxes don't accommodate Canadian markets -Change Orders don't allow for a separate line to job scopes deleted (job credits)

Does some things well but could be better optimized overall

Vantagens:

I like the tracking capabilities for change orders, payapps, and submittals

Desvantagens:

It can be very clunky and not optimized. Sometimes there are too many menus you have to go through to make changes i.e. when I'm making a payapp and realize there's a change order that hasn't been entered yet or when I am ready to send out a payapp but the user I need to send it to isn't added as a project contact yet. I need to entirely close out of my drafted email and go through multiple menus to make what should be a simple change. I also cannot delete change orders / payapps that were created by mistake.
