Maptitude's ability to use my data for analysis and visualisation it is phenomenal.

Comentários: I use Maptitude to conduct drive time analysis and calculate the optimal sequence of serving key locations. This has helped to reduce my dead kilometre cost but also has the added benefit of being able to provide drivers with instructions in the form of left and rights and maps.
I use it to extract and analyse demographics for an area I will be serving to understand the makeup of my customers. I create selection sets to apply my analysis on only the set of data I'm interested at that moment.
I create heatmaps that shows public transit safety aspects such as accident hot spots, driver abuse from customers etc.
One of the interesting case studies I did not long ago was to map all the bus stops we serve and also all public toilets that are within walking distance to the bus stops. This helped my drivers to know where they can have a biological break if they need to during their journey.

Vantagens:

Whenever I need to analyse my data and represent it visually I always go to Maptitude. The software is a GIS that can import, covert and export Google Earth, OpenStreetMap, Esri Shape, MapInfo, GPS, AutoCAD, Excel, Text etc. I've been using Maptitude for more than 13 years and bar TransCad (Caliper Corporations Public Transit Modelling Solution), there is no other GIS software that delivers like this!

Desvantagens:

I've compared Maptitude to many other solutions and can honestly say there is no major dislike that I have. If I'm really critical I'd say probably that the Caliper brand name appears on the bottom of the maps I produce (very small), and I'd like to keep secret how I am able to do what I do.

Most Powerful Mapping Tool in Our Arsenal

Comentários: We have been using Maptitude to show retailers, dealers, and manufacturers their Total Available Markets based on our product forecasts. Once we load our forecasts, dealer locations, housing starts and other demographics, we are able to show where potential new business can be won. Maptitude has allowed us to better display our insights beyond the usual charts and tables.

Vantagens:

Maptitude provides great details of geographies along with demographics and economic variables at all the hierarchies we need. It is the best mapping tool we have and is so much better than some of the big data software packages we have used. We use maps from Maptitude for our reporting and analytics and clients are excited about how much detail we can give them.

Desvantagens:

It takes a little bit to understand but once you get it the tasks become easier. Our team wishes we could incorporate maps into other online data systems like Big Query or Tableau.

Great value!

Comentários: Maptitude comes with a wealth of data at an unbelievably inexpensive price. The Australian data, with which I'm most familiar, if bought separately from other sources, would run into the thousands of dollars and I am stunned at the value for money. Please don't think that value for money has compromised functionality or capability! Maptitude has a wealth of analytical features that satisfy my ongoing needs in the area of demographic analysis. Regular in the business/demographic sphere include thematic mapping, route planning, territory design, trade area analysis and location/allocation modelling. A critical area is output and Maptitude has this covered with the ability to produce good quality maps of any size, a wide range of graphics formats and also Kmz/kml output for Google Earth. If there is one criticism, it's that the you can't produce a visual legend for Google Earth and if the exported geographic features have too many points, then they simply won't appear in Google Earth..a point reduction function would be very useful. On the negative side. It is a slightly dated looking package, reminding one of the Windows XP software and it's annoying that you only merge two geographic features at a time, a definite disadvantage if you need to merge data from a variety of sources into one geographic layer. It makes it a bit fiddly. This is not a package just for the professional, full time user. A newbie will find the package relatively easy to learn and the software site comes with a series of tutorials that will allow you to transition from newbie to effective novice relatively easily. That's given us the confidence to recommend Maptitude to non-GIS users such as sales managers, database analysts, franchise managers, advertising planners, retailers and merchandisers. All in all, value for money, good quality output, a wealth of data and functionality and easy to use.

Data Analyst

Comentários: It is an easy tool to work on. Staffings are wonderful; they are always going extra miles to provide supports as needed. Love it.

Vantagens:

Easy following instruction when create multiple routes from 1 destination.

Desvantagens:

Street names disappear on the map when zoom in. Do not show a full contents of Streets from Departure to Destination when print or export to Excel.

Vantagens:

Easy interface, deep data layer availability

Desvantagens:

Upgrade process difficult with our company firewall

Maptitude - Hands down best out of the gate geospatial platform

Comentários: User for nearly two decades and it really gets the job done for me.

Vantagens:

Simple to understand, very powerful, great data availability - and they tech support is second to none.

Desvantagens:

It is not as fast in terms of processing is other tools.

GIS software that matters.

Comentários: The overal experience is very good, with the tools and features and plug-ins, the majority of logistics analysis projects can be executed.

Vantagens:

The User Interface, offering tools and features that are only a few clicks away with excellent inbuilt support pages and examples.

Desvantagens:

Focus not so much on Europe, maps for European countries are not as actual as for other countries.

Great GIS with affordable perpetual license, not bloated but you may miss features from ESRI

Comentários: If you already know GIS you will find this easy to use. Interface is more like pre-Pro ArcMap but that's fine. I'm agnostic to ribbons vs. buttons. The point is to run the analysis. It hasn't crashed on me once.
Way fewer geoprocessing tools than you might be used to, so if you're doing very specialized work check the documentation.

Vantagens:

Cost. Much easier to reach a purchasing decision. I loved the integrated country data package so I didn't have to download census layers and other info - it was all built in.

Desvantagens:

No way to share live interactive maps with stakeholders. Most of us GIS users want to run the analysis and then share with a non-GIS expert without them needing to have the software. I think there is a separate online license but that was not available in my company's pre-approved software purchasing program. One strong feature I recommend is a job history log with time run. I ran a filter on nationwide streets and it took ages... I'd like to know how many minutes it ran so I can re-run it again without disrupting my workflow.

Maptitude makes my job easier!

Comentários: Other than some setup issues, and renewal issues everything has been great with Maptitude. While there were some issues (due to having an ARM computer), the team was very quick to respond and resolve.

Vantagens:

Simple territory creation & data loads. Customer Support team is amazing with this company!

Desvantagens:

Installing on an ARM computer can be a pain, but the support team is amazing and very quick to respond.

Great Mapping Software

Comentários: Once familiar with all of its nuances, it's outstanding!

Vantagens:

Packed with capability and comes with great customer service. Data updates are timely and affords the user limitless customization features.

Desvantagens:

Maptitude is a unique software dedicated to serving multiple industries. As such, it commands a significant time investment to become familiar with all of its features and nuances. Also, please create an "undo" button!

Maptitude "Mic Drop"

Comentários: The recipients of my maps are often thrilled with what I create. I love easily whipping up a map and hearing the applause! I would have to say, Maptitude makes for a great mapping experience!

Vantagens:

The most important thing about this software, for me, is that I can make a beautiful map without being a computer expert! I have a very basic knowledge of navigating around my computer. Learning how to use Maptitude was not difficult.

Desvantagens:

I know this is very picky, but I use the color palette in my work and I have a hard time finding just the right shade sometimes. The selection is huge but, nevertheless, I have a difficult time choosing. I always think the color selections are too similar. Also, the color is not saturated enough for my taste.

Maptitude is the best GIS for managing mobility and transportation data.

Comentários: I work with Maptitude on a daily basis for mobility and transport data analyses. Maptitude in its ease of use is undoubtedly the most powerful and feature-rich GIS. Thematic maps are truly unique in terms of graphic capabilities and data representation, highly appreciated by customers. With a low cost combined with an excellent training program and support service, Maptitude is an added value for my business.

Vantagens:

Ease of use and computing power as well as the very rich and captivating representation of the data that can be created with the many themes available.

Desvantagens:

The legends and icon set could be graphically more modern.

Using Maptitude for Data

Comentários: We have been able to make our data much more accessible to our clients by attaching our data to the Maptitude mapping program.

Vantagens:

The ability to process large data sets.

Desvantagens:

The scaling and naming of streets sometimes makes it difficult to visually find streets. The search engine also does not deal well with misspellings.

Great GIS product

Comentários: Maptitude is a great program. As a real estate appraiser who primarily values commercial properties, I have found the functions and data provided a great benefit in showing clients what going on in a specific area. Features such exporting data to MS Excel which can be put in my reports.

Vantagens:

Maptitude is easy to learn and use. It has a great deal of data that comes with it which make it easy to create maps showing different trends in specific areas.

Desvantagens:

I have really have not found anything negative about the program. it has good documentation and the on-line learning videos are well thought out for learning.

Maptitude

Comentários: We are able to graphically analyze or sales data and efforts to better target areas that should produce higher revenue.

Vantagens:

This is exceptional software for detailed mapping of almost any kind of data, locally or nationally.

Desvantagens:

The learning curve is a little steep and I wish it was a bit more forgiving in the address format, I find that on quite a few addresses I have to modify to fit the software.

Maptitude is best Mapping Solution

Comentários: We are able to do things with Maptitude that we had not dreamed of doing before (using MapPoint and Territory Mapper). For example, it has been extremely valuable to show our customers the density of their territory by zip code.

Vantagens:

I love the flexibility. Maptitude is an extremely malleable software that can adapt to your specific business. There are so many possibilities, that you can easily create a mapping solution that perfectly meets the need of your business model.

Desvantagens:

Because Maptitude has so many possibilities, there is a learning curve with the software. It will take time to set up your maps the way you need them.

Vantagens:

Not only is Maptitude easy to learn and low cost for a GIS software, it is quite powerful. Many features in Maptitude that might require buying a suite of products produce by other GIS software publishers. And never been stumped by a bug.

Desvantagens:

While graphic features are fine, the output is not as elegant or subtle as some of its competitors.

GIS technology for everyone

Comentários: I have worked with Caliper products for 10 years as a transportation/urban planner and they have always fulfilled my needs. Maptitude/TransCAD software are easy to use, organized and robust: able to cope with large datasets without any problems. The user interface is very clear and easy to understand. The exchange of data and databases across several formats is also very simple and functional. The two-way direct link with Google Earth makes my projects look really interesting. I have adopted Maptitude in my GIS classes and it has been a great success with the students. They get excited in learning the geoprocessing techniques with such a technology that Maptitude provides.

Maptitude is the Best for Ease of Use and Affordability

Comentários: I have used Maptitude exclusively in my 20+ years in health/hospital planning. It has been indispensable in my work. Mapping data oftentimes tells the story in a way other modes can't do. I was very excited at the prospect of being able to make custom maps efficiently with all the 'virtual' cartographic tools a health planner would need. Maptitude exceeded my expectations in both the product and the quality of support offered. If you know nothing about GIS and its power, and even if you do, the training is worth the money and effort.

Maptitude is an Excellent GIS Software

Comentários: Maptitude loads quickly and is a user-friendly GIS software with excellent spatial analysis capabilities. My GIS professor prefers it to any other GIS software and is never shy in pointing out where it shines in comparison to the competition. It is much more reasonably priced as well!
