I liked the way the main page was set up for the client information, patient information and medical record.
The Boarding Module is outdated and disjointed. It does not fully integrate into CStone, in my opinion.

Best Veterinary Software hands down.
Comentários: Cornerstone is very user friendly and well-organized. I have been using this soft ware for the past 7 years and have loved it more than the other two softwares I used at other clinics before this. There are so many easy to learn shortcuts that make daily medical record keeping easier. I
Vantagens:
My favorite feature is the integration between their labwork machines and outside Idexx labs straight into patient files.
Desvantagens:
There are a few features that require a right click and drop down menu that I feel would be better set to just a double click. My complaints are few!
Idexx Review
Comentários: overall very good veterinary diagnostics system

very efficient to enter patients details easy to use

the pipets and the display as well as the syncronizing
Cornerstone; easy to integrate, but cannot be used alone.
Comentários: Fairly neutral; not the worst software that the practice has ever used, but difficult to learn at first, and cannot be used for all in-hospital needs, auxiliary programs are needed for treatment sheets and imaging files.
Vantagens:
Able to be integrated with other clinic software such as Instinct. Easily navigable patient records and labwork results.
Desvantagens:
Very confusing keystroke functions, very specific methods needed to input labwork, can only open 4 patient clipboards at a time, must manually transfer (via copy/paste) patients between department schedules.
CornerStone
Comentários: Awful from the price to the product. I wouldn't recommend this product for anyone.
Vantagens:
Nothing. I find this software archaic and out of date. I do not find any features useful with this product
Desvantagens:
The reports. There is no way to specify the dates you would like to run reports for. This is a huge problem when it comes time for accounting to be done.
Great program, need better customer service
Comentários: We have been a CS client since 1999 and while we love it, we have hated it at times. The system itself is great, customer service can be lacking. It has so many wonderful features but until recently they were like easter eggs and you had to find them and teach yourself how to use them. It is a great program with lots of functionality to improve daily workflow.
Vantagens:
Very robust system that can really help work flow if you use all of its features.
Desvantagens:
While it is a robust system, Idexx doesn't do a great job at showing you all of their features and training how to use them. Especially for existing clients.
Cornerstone Review
Comentários: Once you get the hang of cornerstone, it is easy. It is a outdated slower software program.
Vantagens:
I loved that it directly integrates with IDEXX diagnostic tools and lab services, streamlining lab test submissions and results retrieval.
Desvantagens:
Slow performance, especially during peak usage hours. Less user friendly.
Cornerstone is terrible, avoid at all costs
Comentários: Terrible. It does not communicate with our lab machines, it does not communicate with our ICU treatment software, I waste literal hours staring at it waiting for it to load just so I can enter charges.
Vantagens:
Nothing. It is honestly difficult to think of one good thing to say about Cornerstone. Nothing is intuitive, nothing is user friendly, everything seems to be designed to make it as difficult as humanly possible.
Desvantagens:
Everything. I genuinely hate everything about it, although if I had to pick my top one, I suppose it would be how intolerably slow it is. Everytime I click on anything, or open a new window, it freezes for a period of time ranging from 5 seconds to 5 minutes depending on the day.
Cornerstone is a must have
Comentários: My overall experience with Cornerstone has been nothing but exceptional, from customer service to technical support and everything in between!
Vantagens:
Cornerstone is very easy to work with compared to other veterinary software databases.
Desvantagens:
Sometimes there are glitches and software will freeze.
Visually appealing, great reports
Comentários: Worked as interim HM at clinic that had cornerstone, took awhile to learn even basic thinga within system. Hard to schedule training
Vantagens:
Visually appealing, robust reporting system makes figuring out doctor production easier
Desvantagens:
Doesnt allow corporate to access reports, have to physically send of month reports which adds time to month end
Great Diagnostic tool/great support options
Comentários: Used daily and for many different reasons, great diagnostic tool with fast reporting
Vantagens:
Integrates seamlessly with PIMS, great support system, many different labwork options
Desvantagens:
System seems to go down occasionally and needs to be reset
Easy to learn but can be slow
Vantagens:
The ease of use was very nice! It was easy for new members to catch on and learn.
Desvantagens:
The software was often very slow and lagged for us.
Swapping from Cornerstone. Used for 12 years
Comentários: Support has been good, but IDEXX acounts are always a pain to deal with. So, for the money we wil swap to a more up to date program
Vantagens:
Fairly easy to use and navigate for new staff. The colour coding of appointment s and conult notes is good. It has been a stable program on the in house server for 12 years.
Desvantagens:
Cant search for patients or clients easily. Reports for things like breeds are impossible and clients address cannot be searched. Old fashioned - can't do on line bookings, SMS remnders and now can't email from the program. Need to upgrade to a subscription basis and the cost of that there are much better programs out there. Can not set up your own health care program. Does not confirm appointment.
Our practice runs smoothly with Cornerstone. Everything is at our fingertips and so easy to use.

I could go on and on. It makes my life so much easier as the office manager. As I said in the review from making and confirming appointments, to controlling inventory, managing the Petly Wellness Plans, compliance of clients using medications to include heartworm and flea preventions, to vaccines, to spay and neuters. Even using the callback lists daily to check on our patients, e have built such trust in our clients that we truly care about our patients. It is extremely easy to close our the end of day with the software and print reports to see how we are doing as a practice. I have used Cornerstone since 2006 and have experienced it grow and evolve in to the premium management software that it is today. It is always improving and the IDEXX team listens to what the practice owners need and want.

Vantagens:
Integration of Petly Wellness Plans in the patient's CS file. This is awesome being able to see what plan they have and what items they have used and have remaining. Inventory control keeps us on track. It lets us know when to order items and even where we order them from. We can prevent overstocking and running out of things. Automatic reminders and appointment confirmations are truly a timesaver. Processing payments through Cornerstone for credit cards and even excessing CareCredit are so quick that it minimizes our client's wait time at check out. And now being able to see vaccine history of each patient all under one tab is awesome. Printing vaccine certificates couldn't be easier. The whiteboard is great so everyone knows at a glance from any terminal why a pet is in the hospital and what is being done for them. Cornerstone has certainly changed over the years!
Desvantagens:
We haven't had much success using the boarding module to fit our needs and the way we reserve boarding space for our pets, because you can't schedule 2 pets for the same cage on the same day if one is leaving in the morning and the other is coming in the afternoon. We need to play with it more I guess.

Incredible Software To Manage Your Veterinary Practice To Success
Comentários: My overall experience has been incredible. After working with many other softwares hands down I would pick Cornerstone over and over.
Vantagens:
Cornerstone is so robust and has features that make managing your practice easy. The reporting capabilities are unlike any other practice management software on the market - sooo many options, easy to use. The inventory portion of the software is second to none - you can manage inventory seamlessly and right down to the last penny. I also like the lodging module as well. The improvements they continue to make to the software will continue to keep them at the top of their game.
Desvantagens:
Since there are so many ways to get to the same outcome, training can be a challenge. The product is also on the more expensive side, but it is worth it. Support is sometimes hit-and-miss - there have been occasions when I call for help and end up figuring out what I need on my own and teaching the support. The amount of report options can be overwhelming if you are not familiar with them.

The Thrill is gone!
Comentários: Hardware support is now $250 for the first 15mins and 50 per minute. I have loved this system for over a decade but now I am jaded. I am looking for a more economical system for my practice.
Vantagens:
Initially the product was intimidating but once you learn to right click and tab, its easy. If have many reports and data that can be created for comparative analysis. It is moderately simple to use but it is a definite learning curve to master. I do not use have of the features that are available. It is fully functional for a CPA. Anything they want, Cornerstone can create it for you!
Desvantagens:
What I do not like is the constant nickel-n-diming of all features and any software/hardware support that is needed. The used to be really reasonable but now, if you cannot be charged they do not help you. Software support for a server is now over $700.00 a month. That does not include hardware support. The system is good but if you are not a corporation practice, You can certainly find something cheaper.

Customizable operating software with AMAZING customer support
Comentários: I use it heavily for inventory tracking, ordering, scheduling, medical record keeping, financial tracking, employee time clock, and customizing client education that you don't have to remember to print - it can be set to automatically print on their invoice, on their prescription label, etc.
Vantagens:
I like that you can easily costumize the software with automatic options to help staff with their workflow, everything connects back to something else for easy access to information. Their customer support is fantastic. They are available by phone, cornerstone chat, and you can allow them remote access into the system to resolve issues and do quick visual training.
Desvantagens:
It can be a little daunting to get started, but their customer service is fantastic, so there is always support to get through it.

The Good and the Interesting
Comentários: Cornerstone is definitely more robust than Intravet that we tried first when we went paperless, and the ability to view most all of the client and patient info within one screen is very handy.
Vantagens:
Cornerstone has the ability to not only keep all of your patient charts, orderly and mostly at your fingerprints on one screen, along with client information and notes. The program also has several add-on features or programs that you can integrate for lab work, wellness plans and there is a new feature coming out in the next update as well.
Desvantagens:
All of the Cornerstone features don't seem to "work" all of the time. When there are updates or patches to fix certain aspects of the program it seems to disrupt or "break" other features or items that worked just fine. We will experience glitches within some accounts but not others, the add-ons tend to slow the program down and tech support is not allows that "supportive" or helpful if it is outside items typically on their help menu. There are many shortcuts to the programs use too, the users just aren't made aware of them.

Rating system does not address problems. 3 stars was generous. Not a small practice system.

Vantagens:
Medical records are great for sending referral consultations. Phone support is great, but then again it should be for what I am paying them.
Desvantagens:
THIS is NOT any kind of accounting system. CS claimed "compatable with Quickbooks" Not even close. After CS. gif entries QB said I had 3x the income that my bank statement indicated. Everyone loves support. Yup they're all very friendly. When I ask them what the problem is, always get the same response "we don't know anything about QB". When I ask my QB consultant- the response is "garbage i-. garbage out". Then there is the blue circle of death. All peripheral computers are hard wired. We timed the blue spinning circle/"not responding" one day: 10 seconds here, 12 seconds there. Totaled 72 minutes. This is a 1 man practice. I'm sure the big guys can absorb this cost, but tough time justifying the wasted time and the additional cost my accountant included figuring out how to deal with the end-of year numbers. Would have been better off investing all that money in Bitcoin 2 years ago and cashing out last December. could been chillin' on an island instead of watching the blue circle of death go round and round and round and.....

Cornerstone Review
Comentários: I would like to be able to go online and list enhancement requests. The way it works now, I have to call support, tell the representative what I want and ask them to put in the request - and hope they actually do. Our old software had a website where you could go and list modules and enhancements you would want.
Vantagens:
We can email from the record - but, some sections don't prepopulate the address.
Desvantagens:
There are too many clicks to get through every section. The boarding module is obsolete and needs to be thoroughly revamped. The pop ups need to be bigger as do the messages on the bottom of invoices. We had to create a template for written scripts - in our past software you could create a written script right in the RX section. I could go on..

This spring we release Cornerstone 9.1, which has a fresh new interface and reduces the number of clicks required to access key patient and client information. Improving boarding is definitely on our radar as well. We appreciate you taking the time to call support and please know that every enhancement request does get logged and looked at.
Cornerstone keeps improving how we practice.
Vantagens:
Check-in process has the ability to print any documents needed for the appointment, so staff don't have to find handouts. In the exam rooms we can use the PVL to efficiently bill and write on medical notes during the appointment. The CVT's can then easily print anything needed to send home with the client because of the ease of creating in the client correspondence area. Behind the scenes cornerstone is capturing reminders opportunities that we previous designated so staff do not have to think about it. At check out we transfer from the PVL and add any OTC items to the invoices and check out the client. Love the vaccine tab that now tells us when important annual items were given. With multiple staff working with hospitalized pets the WB gives us information quickly when treatments were and what is come due.
Desvantagens:
I wish the reports had less clicks to build. Some click seem redundant. Wish we could arrange the check in sheet to what we feel is most important to show up on the 1st page. Patient alerts should NOT be printed on the last page.

Cornerstone review
Vantagens:
I like most all features of CStone. I think the medical record keeping is very detailed.
Desvantagens:
The Boarding Module is outdated and disjointed. It does not fully integrate into CStone, in my opinion. It is not intuitive and could be SO much easier if CStone would put some time into revamping. I have tried to learn and implement Whiteboard but this too seems more complicated than it needs to be and is not very intuitive.

OK to use, could be better
Vantagens:
Integrated diagnostics, the way the daily schedule is presented
Desvantagens:
This may be the way our practice has it set up, but as a paperless practice for the last 3 years, I find the charting in this system very cumbersome and feel it could be streamlined. There are too many different reports to open and close and a lot of repeat info to enter. This does not feel efficient, and after 3 years, I still sorely miss the simple paper charts we used to have. Now there is more information stored for every patient, and sure, that would be great if needed in a lawsuit, but data entry takes longer and I feel I see fewer patients and am more stressed in the process. Again, not sure if it is the software or the way my practice chooses to use it.

Sorry to hear you're having some difficulties with charting. We have a large number of practices that are successfully working in a paperless environment. Overcharging for any customer service with the program.
Comentários: We purchased this software program for around 30,000. Prior to purchase we were not made aware that if we have any problems with the program we would have to pay $170/15 min or several thousands of dollars a year for service. Though I am sure this is in the contract somewhere it was not mentioned prior to purchase. However we chose not to participate in the service agreement and have only had small glitches here and there. However our program got hacked and as a result we had an IT guy come in to clean the system and restore our network. Come to find out that Cornerstone at the time of installation was suppose to leave a disc with out system so we could restore but they did not so in order to restore the program we had to contact their service. This particular computer had already had the system in place but needed to be restored. After several attempts by several technicians it was finally accomplished and our technician informed us that they kept making him repeat the same thing over and over again until they figured it out how to get it downloaded. Also was enlightened to find out that Cornerstone had already had 30 clients or so also hacked and made the comment that anyone who had not changed the initial passcodes used during installation appeared to have been the targeted and accessed. I then received a bill for over $2200 and called them to complain that my IT would not have needed to call them at all had they sent me my system disc the first time and also that it showed a true ineptitude that their technicians could not get the program reinstalled to a computer that had already had the program to begin with. After waiting for three weeks for a reply from a supervisor we received a call from a receptionist instead and was told they would only discount the bill $500 for not giving us our original system disc. I find this unacceptable on several levels. This bill would not have been incurred if they had given us our original disc to begin with and also had they contacted us as a client to inform us they had already had issues of their program being hacked and that the passcodes used during installation needed to be changed and the open port to their system closed. I believe that there is no reason why they shouldn't have been able to download our program in only a few minutes and that they were negligent not informing us that their was a security issue with their system.
Cornerstone Practice Management
Comentários: I love working in Cornerstone.
Vantagens:
Very user friendly. Very flexible, no matter what you need to do, there is usually a way to do it in Cornerstone. If you can't find it, just call. Very fast response and issue resolved with one call.
Desvantagens:
Was used to using Better Choice before we got Cornerstone. Wish CS would pop up a message that client record was in use on another screen without appearing to be open. Too many employees disregard the message and because it looks like record is open, they try to add to it which causes problems. Have found a way to deal with this, but wish CS did not even allow it to happen. That was how it was with Better Choice.

We put a lot of work into making it flexible and easy to use, and it means a lot to know that's helping the team at Kilgore. Please share your suggestion regarding the message about the client record being in use by another user the next time you call in to Customer and Technical Support. We review every piece of user feedback, and put dozens of user-requested features into every new release.
Cumbersome Product to Use
Comentários: I’d appropriately trained on how to use Cornerstone, it could be a fantastic program but it is challenging in its current form.
Vantagens:
It has a lot of functionality and if you know how to use the software appropriately, it can do a lot.
Desvantagens:
It’s very cumbersome. There is a very steep learning curve to working in Cornerstone. There are always multiple ways to do something which makes it challenging to teach a new employee how to use the program.
