In seven months, Clio has significantly streamlined how I handle client intakes and document preparation. What used to be scattered across multiple systems now flows seamlessly in one place. Specifically, the document management and drafting features let me build and reuse templates efficiently, which has made my output faster and more consistent. Paired with the time tracking and case management tools, I can see the full picture of each matter from intake through invoicing without jumping between platforms. The time tracking integration with billing is particularly valuable; I'm capturing hours accurately as we work rather than reconstructing time logs later. It's made me more efficient and reduced the errors that come from manual data entry and disjointed systems. > > **Desvantagens**: It is expensive for a solo practitioner. That said, there is one frustration worth mentioning: the credit card processing fees add up quickly. If clients elect to pay via credit card with any frequency, that cost structure can feel steep and eats into what would otherwise be a strong value proposition. The email reminders have already brought up some old AR that was unrecognized, and started bringing it in. > > **Desvantagens**: THe data integration was a mess. It still is. I signed up in October, migrated end of December, and in mid February cannot get an accurate report for the fees earned in January. I have called and spoke with multiple people, and none are able to help. I asked to generate one report - and Clio is unable to generate the one report after the migration - how much revenue did my attorneys actually bring in based upon the hours they worked. Clio does not migrate this data. Despite me saying this is the one report I want, and being reassured I could get it. When they could not generate it, they just told me to hire an outside consultant. They are evaluating an offset of my fees, but no promises, and no solutions as of yet. > > The product is fine - the reports are wonky to be honest. For example, summary total columns are excluded when you view multiple users, and are not included at all in CSV. Why would you not include a "total" at the bottom of every report. Clio has a full case/client management system in the cloud, with additional features to add the ability to draft court forms, create your own formatted and drafted pleadings, it has the ability to eFile, record the time and expenses in and Bill to clients. Document management and AI features to help analyze and review internal documents with fast results. Clio has an accounting platform, which sync's to your main program, so you can stay on top of state codes that request you maintain records on IOLTA trust accounts. Clio has a CRM program, and can track client intake to help onboard clients quickly, easily and track specific referrals and marketing lines. > > **Desvantagens**: Hard to think of things that I don't like about Clio, but it would be great if when they imperilment new or updated features, if the notification had a link to additional detail in depth, and maybe a link to the help guides or training video. > > This is an accurate "nutshell" description of Clio. Based on my experience since January 2020, and those of which I have worked with during this time, if you practice law, if you run a law firm, if you own a law firm, you NEED to get on board with Clio. Clio easily beats the competitors, and it sets the bar high as the best all-in-one practice management software. Providing you with the safety assurance and compliance needed, and the support to manage and save all client files, all communications in and outbound, to maintain and track all court deadlines, draft court forms and create individual and personalized pleadings, perform all tasks related to billing, and everything else that is case and client related. The overall savings to have multiple features with multi-level support software included in one program, is extremely affordable. I highly recommend everyone at least requests to go through a demo so you can see everything they offer, because "yes CLIO can do that" for you. When you're looking for a software program that can do something and also provide added support and features, yes CLIO can, and will, do that for you.
