> **Vantagens**: SharePoint has allowed for consolidation of our files, photos/videos and documents in a singular software solution that is easily accessible being a Microsoft-based organization. Working in marketing we often deal with files that are quite large in size and need to be accessible by a large group of people. Sharepoint has solved this challenge for us and made file sharing very simple. 

Since we already work in a Microsoft ecosystem it was a natural extension to start using Sharepoint instead of other file management solutions. 

If you're already familiar with other MS software like Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. learning how to use Sharepoint will be very easy as the interface looks similar.

> **Desvantagens**: In some instances due to the way our security is set up through Sharepoint it can be difficult to share files/documents with individuals external to our organization. The permissions won't always allow for us to share externally, or outside users report difficulty in figuring out how to access the files we are sharing with them. I find that it is great for internal-access, but we do periodically run into issues when trying to get external users to use Sharepoint.

> Overall Sharepoint has proved as a useful solution to our challenge of managing such a high quantity and size of documents, photos and videos. Being already familiar with other Microsoft software it was easy to adopt Sharepoint and there has been high uptake across our organization. Previously across our organization individuals used several different types of file sharing and storage tools so it has been great to consolidate them into a singular solution.

Menus everywhere, clicks galore, and don’t even get me started on the “modern” interface that somehow makes everything more confusing. Also doubles as a test of patience and willpower—Excel files, beware.

> **Desvantagens**: Unfortunately, the Pricing of Sharepoint is not ideal for everyone. Most of the Storage Options come with O365 Business Standard or above Licenses, which are taking costs at an exponentionally growing userbase unreal. Alot of Pricing Options are not transparent which is a bummer sometimes.

> **Vantagens**: Integrates with Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel) and has good version control and collaboration once it’s working.  It provides a
centralized document storage instead of multiple shared drives that is 
accessible remotely without our VPN.

> **Desvantagens**: Not easy to set up or maintain — permissions, structure, and governance get complicated quickly.  Does not behave like a normal network drive, which causes issues with systems that expect file‑server access. Our ERP software cannot see SharePoint files, which forces workarounds or duplicate storage
Syncing via OneDrive is unreliable with large or complex folder structures
 and requires ongoing IT involvement to keep things running smoothly

> SharePoint can work well if your organization is fully cloud‑based and has IT resources to manage it properly. If you rely on ERP systems or applications that expect a traditional file server, SharePoint is not a great fit without significant workarounds.
