This is the software we have been looking for.
Comentários: This has made my practice successful. We don't have to worry about fighting over the software it simply allows us to do our jobs and to them effectively and efficiently.
Vantagens:
This software is simple yet powerful and allows you to set it up the way you want to use it. You can make it do as little or as much for you as you would like. Working on the go for mobile practice or at a brick and mortar is just as simple. The software just works! I like the cloud base as it allows me to use very little computing power and allows us to work where we need to and when we need to. I have literally run the entire practice off of my cell phone (tethered) when our internet has gone down. Security is top notch and allows us to store information confidently and without worry. As we have been a user since the software was in its early stages we have seen it grow and change, adapt as we do and see the features grow. The development team truly does take what we ask for seriously and find ways to implement the changes we as the veterinarians and users need. Setting things up from scratch took time, what doesn't, but it also allows us to build things the way we want to and operate the way our practice needs it to. If we don't like something we alter it and tell the system to do it differently. The updates happen speedily and are useful. There's no fluff for updates, if there is one coming you're chomping at the bit to get the new features and try them out in the real world. Highly recommend this software for all practices, large, small, mobile or stationary. This is the software we have all been looking for, built by veterinarians, for veterinarians.
Desvantagens:
Sometimes the reminder system is a bit clunky and seems to miss some updated items but overall as long as you double check it it works as expected. Sometimes the server bogs down and we all suffer (slow as molasses), usually a minor issue and fixed quickly.

Comentários: The transition was pretty easy, it did not transfer information from our previous PMS that great, but I believe it's a fault of the previous PMS because it was server based and our version was very outdated.
Vantagens:
The ease of use of this product is amazing. New employees can come in and pretty much be fully trained on everything in just a few days!! The auto save part is great!!! The tracking on what has been done or changed and by whom on different aspects is great as well!
Desvantagens:
Not enough issues at this to comment on anything - I recommend learning to open new tabs to allow easier cross referencing with the patient/client. I do wish it 'talked' to AllyDVM more comprehensively, but that is only because we are required to have AllyDVM, DaySmart does everything that AllyDVM does so if you don't have to have it, then just utilize DaySmart to its fullest.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT- ZERO. I cannot even tell you how many times we have had to call with issues over the last year of my new startup practice and how almost every single individual has to elevate the concern to the development team, and can never provide an answer with the issue. And we're talking for SIMPLE things that should not be problematic. Like marking up prices of drugs. How is it that the minimum price set is not added to whatever we make the cost per tablet of a medication. In other words, if we make the minimum cost $15, and the cost of the tablet $0.10, instead of making the price $15.10, it makes it $15. These problems make no sense, and its not something that is crazy to improve, they are basic necessities that Daysmart has just done wrong. We've had problems with estimates not showing ranges accurately (several times), we had issues with reminders not being sent to clients showing that vaccines were due, and an employee told me it was because I did not have my integration turned on, but this is false because you do not need an outside program to send reminders. I have emailed them so many times I have lost track, and no response. At this point I am seriously considering switching my PIMS because the lack of customer service is just abyssmal

I like that it is web based and I like the forms, I wish we had a way to utilize them more.

It's not intuitive at all and clunky. Simple things like being able make adjustments on invoices and starting new invoices and "closing" or "posting" an unpaid invoice is weird. I can't trust the reports and inventory management is horrible. The "seamlesss" integration with QBO is not "seamless"

Comentários: Overall I love Day Smart and will continue to use it as my main and only software for records and appointments.
Vantagens:
I love the ease of access and everything is straightforward and easy to edit. I love the auto-save features when writing records and the ease of scheduling. I also like that I dont have to use all features of the platform for it to function well.
Desvantagens:
I wish there were a better way to book two patients for the same client for the same appointment. I also wish that two-way texting was an automatic feature and that it was added to the monthly cost at a lower amount. Currently, the add-on feature is as expensive as the monthly fee, so you are paying twice. Support can take some time to get back to you but they do provide good feedback and instructions on inquires. I wish there was an integration with Square invoicing for records and I hope they start billing in Canadian dollars to the Canadian users.
I would not recommend this software

Integration with IDEXX outside the USA is almost impossible and the support team has no clue or way to fix it while other alternatives are integrated in no time. No possible integration with Stripe or other payment gateways that support international accounts. The software in total has 1 control for all practices worldwide, when someone touches something affect the workflow cause disaster and we had many ruined days. Typical reply from the support team is 12 hours or more while the daytime in my city is different than the support schedule time .. we had days that we did the billing manually in the paper until the software started to work again .. by contacting the management, only last support ticket has been looked at which was 14 minutes and rest just been ignored.

Comentários: Daysmart is my teams first experience with a cloud-based PIMS system. The transition was smooth to me but hard for some of my change-resistant team members. We seemed to have settled into it well after about 1 year though a few of my team seemed very comfortable with it within 2 months. I am overall happy with it and really would not have had anything negative to say about it until 4 months ago when our customer service issues began. I wouldn’t have even considered changing softwares until then.
Vantagens:
When I chose DaysmartVet (then it was called Vetter), I chose it because of its user friendly interface. I have a varied staff from young to almost retirement age that need to use the software heavily and I needed it to be robust enough to do what I needed but also easy enough to understand/learn for our entire team. I think that part is wonderful, I have new team members who pick up the software rapidly without too much trouble. The hyperlinks within each page are nice to jump back and forth between different parts of the software needed. Just starting using the app a few months ago and I think that is working out okay too.
Desvantagens:
I least like the customer service lately. I felt that it was helpful before and the customer service members I spoke with in the past would be able to assist me as well as to check in to make sure my issue has resolved. In the past 6 months or so, I have felt abandoned and ignored by the help desk team. It would be nice if when using new features they would be more attentive to help set it up instead of just pointing to the help articles. Some of those articles help but if I’m going to them with a question it is usually because the articles did not cover it or were confusing.

I did enjoy the tiered pricing structure for smaller businesses (fewer than 100 clients), so I was sad to see that go.

Comentários: It’s been great, I wish customer service was more available especially in the beginning. Sometimes I was on hold for 15 plus minutes which is difficult when we had a problem that we needed addressed right away. But the software itself is well deigned and easy to use . My staff and I picked it up quickly compared to the last system we used.
Vantagens:
The ease of use compared to our last system. Everything seems logical so it was much faster to learn and set up
Desvantagens:
The prescription print is very limited and very small. Difficult to read for senior eyes.

Comentários: We're fairly new -- were previously with Vetter which changed to DaySmart. We used Vetter for around 4 years and at a prior clinic. So far, we've been happy with DaySmart.

More than a Point of Sale system
Comentários: Best customer service on the market! We’re extremely pleased and we’ve had a great experience with the reps. When we started, reps helped us by adding in every large animal and breed we needed. He literally “boiled the ocean” and helped us add in a significant number of breeds. A lot of folks just assume cow but we needed all the different types of cows. This is just one instance where Vetter surpassed our expectations and we know they are there for us!
Vantagens:
We were looking for a POS for a mid-size vet practice with large animals. We needed medical records and a system that would download line item detail into Quickbooks so that we could stop doing double entry. We love that Vetter allows for MWI and Abaxis integration. We are looking forward to growing into the software and utilizing all the features that it offers. We firmly believe this will help grow and organize our practice!
Desvantagens:
Sometimes, maybe once a week, an invoice doesn’t download correctly. But it’s usually pretty easy to figure out which invoice is the culprit by looking at the billing section and comparing payment received.
Excellent software
Vantagens:
Very user-friendly and easy to navigate. I loved all of the reports that I could generate to maximize my understanding of how the business was doing as a whole.
Desvantagens:
Scheduling patients to their known provider did seem more time consuming. Learning how to refund to a card was a learning curve and I needed constant refreshers because I didn't do regularly and this was not as intuitive as the remainder of the functions.

I WISH they would return to the old Notes procedures. It take me extra time to move and find my notes. The newest notes should be at the top!!!!! Just like history, billing etc... why are/did they switch. It is a real pain in my ass! Developers could make this an option of me to choose instead of just changing it on an update and not informinf ME the client!

Comentários: I like the software very much, kind of complicated to learn all the features while running a clinic at the same time. I haven’t had the time to introduce costs or to use the medical notes etc. Basically I use it to keep billing ande sales records

Easy to use
Comentários: I love that it’s mobile and can be easily accessed on any web browser. Love integration with QB.
Vantagens:
It was very easy to learn, love the educational videos, their customer services is amazing and quick to response with queries and any issues.
Desvantagens:
Free client apps would be a bonus. However there isn’t much I can think of in terms of improvement.
Disappointing and a lot of time and money wasted

In ability to scroll through a record, doesn't count down refills, reporting is inferior to others and if I want a "custom" report, I can request it... BUT it will cost me extra money and I will have to wait at least 24 hours so the true technical support overseas can work on it. Cant see declined services through out the medical record.....The head tech support has never worked in a vet hospital or other vet software.

Vetter is the perfect medical records software for our exotic cat sanctuary's on-site clinic!
Comentários: Our clinic is not a "normal" veterinary practice - our clinic serves the 75 resident lions, tigers, leopards, cougars, etc. that call our sanctuary (In-Sync Exotics) home. When researching cloud based systems, I immediately put Vetter at the top of my list, and after talking with the wonderful individuals at the company, I knew that this was the perfect software for us. The people at Vetter understood the differences in needs and preferences that our clinic has from other veterinary clinics, and provided us with ways to optimize the software to meet our unique needs. They also generously provided us with an amazing rate, as we are a non-profit organization. We have been EXTREMELY pleased with this software and this company!
Vantagens:
This software is SO easy to use, yet still comes with all of the features that our clinic was looking for. Everything on this software is intuitive in terms of user-friendliness - it is simple to navigate and everything is extremely well organized. We particularly love that the system is connected to our Abaxis chemistry and hematology analyzers, and that results are automatically stored and organized in the patient record... AND the new IDEXX reference lab integration has been an AMAZING upgrade! I love being able to customize just about everything in terms of medical notes, templates, letters, etc., and the reminders system. I have also really enjoyed having the new DICOM viewer, which has been another tremendous help in keeping our patients' records organized and consolidated. Most of all, the people over at Vetter are incredible - they have been excited and enthusiastic about working with us, and are always quick to respond and fix any issues we may have (which are few and far between).
Desvantagens:
There are only a few, TINY, very minor things that I would change about this software, including changing the layout of exported/printed patient records, and having the ability to "search" within a particular patient. I would also LOVE if there was an mobile app version of Vetter! Otherwise, I have absolutely no complaints! Any issues (all of which have been relatively minor) that we have had in the past have been quickly resolved by the folks at Vetter.
Reminder System is a MESS
Comentários: We spend thousands of dollars getting set up with Vetter Software and have been using it for almost 2 years now. It does NOT do what it's supposed to DO. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Vantagens:
It's simple and the interface is designed in a practical, user-friendly way. It's easy to look at and work with.
Desvantagens:
We purchased this software for the reminder system. But it's a mess. The vaccine reminders do NOT go out as promised. When they do go out, instead of sending an email two weeks before a vaccine is due, and another one, one week before it's due, and another one one week after the vaccine is due, the software sends out 3 or 4 reminders in the SAME email, on the SAME day. It's ridiculous and looks completely unprofessional. I have complained several times to the support team and they keep making up excuses for why it does that, but haven't fixed it. It's been about a year now. We have thousands of dollars invested in this software. We are stuck with this company because it would be way too expensive to move our database to another company. However, this software does NOT PERFORM WELL.
Lots of promise, little follow through

Long and short is that for the cost (if you are small, limited staff, and do not attempt to leverage the system), it is a good deal. Customer service is very good and responsive and you will get the basics you need for an essential EMR.
Now for the bad:
-- First, they always promise way more functionality than they ever deliver.
-- They have a base cost w/ up charges to use areas in the system such as boarding, wellness plans, and DICOM storage, which in turn is all very expensive in a very expensive software.
-- You can only use one log on per location per user. This becomes a problem is if you need to log into a computer elsewhere in the clinic while already being logged in elsewhere you will be logged out of the other location with your place lost.
-- Their word processors built into the system are horrendous (i.e. always lose formatting when copy & pasting, adding additional spaces for no reasons, and adding bullets, bolding, etc requires doing extra steps, etc) and their templates, which you create, suffer accordingly.
-- There is no quick check for pricing.
--Reminder system is very fragmented and difficult to keep track of without giving your staff access to ALL of the reports, including financial.
-- Calendar is glitchy and they have been promising google integration for YEARS now, and it is still in the works.
-- Tasks are equally glitchy and difficult to keep straight and track of.
-- There have been at least 4, yes 4, periods of the cloud going down for at least 30-60 minutes and from we were told, it was do to programming issues on their end, which does not increase any confidence.
-- The number of clicks to move around the system are far more than the magic 3 they claim, typically more along the lines of 4-6 for the majority of items/tasks.
Vantagens:
Cost effective if kept simple and you do not try to leverage the system
Desvantagens:
See comments - overall poor programming ultimately

I started searching for a new veterinary practice management software platform in 2014. At the time, I was getting ready to sell my urban brick and mortar general practice so I can develop my mobile practice focused on hospice and palliative care services for animals and their families.
Compared to other programs in the market, Vetter Software was extremely easy to get started with in every respect. Switching from Cornerstone to Vetter felt like switching from riding an elephant to riding a Bedouin-trained Arabian mare.
Vetter Software is competitively priced ' in fact, I could use it for FREE long enough to get familiar with its features and make an informed decision to continue using it. Shortly before my second anniversary using Vetter Software I upgraded my contract to a long-term fixed rate, which is also competitive.
Using a web-based platform for managing my practice, I can access and update my patients' and clients' information anytime, no matter where I am. I enjoy the freedom from concerns about maintenance and upgrading costs of expensive hardware.
Vetter Software's features are practically-oriented and are an excellent fit for my practice's needs. Their customer support is quick to respond to questions and requests.
Switching to Vetter Software helped me make a smooth transition from stationary to mobile practice and to grow from a new practice to an established one. I'm very happy with the choice I made and would definitely recommend it to my colleagues.
This software is the future of veterinary medicine!

- Constantly having to login when changing devices slows down appointments and checkout - New features/integrations often have an additional price tag associated with them; the advertised monthly costs for using Vetter can be misleading, as they charge extra for things that are essential for the software to function (such as the Authorize.net integration) - Unable to enter appointments or tasks by searching for patient name; this can only be done by searching by client name
