Vantagens:

De todas as ferramentas de monitoramento que testei sem dúvidas o Zabbix é a mais completa. Com dashboards e gráficos insanos e de fácil criação e personalização nosso dia a dia se tornou muito mais fácil.

Desvantagens:

Não tive nenhum problema quanto a utilização da ferramenta.

Zabbix review

Vantagens:

The single best thing about zabbix is that it's completely free but without lacking anything compared to commercial monitoring tools. It covers pretty much everything from windows servers, esxi servers, HTTP endpoints till our UPS. It produces meaningful graphs and has triggers for each alert. Also it integrates with a lot of tools like Pagerduty to receive alerts. Overall its a complete enterprize level monitoring solution for the infrastructure

Desvantagens:

I would say zabbix has 2 downsides. The first is that you need to configure everything and it can be intimidating if you are not experienced user and the second is the web scenarios for http endpoint monitoring isnt neither great nor straightforward.

The best monitoring tool I've used

Comentários: Zabbix server can be one of the best tools in your IT arsenal, but it does come with quite a steep learning curve. It's an open-source tool, so it does take a lot more time and patience to configure and setup the way you want it to be, but there are a lot of great documentation sites out there including Zabbix's own. Not to mention they have some paid for training courses with certifications, which is awesome. If you spend the time to properly read up on Zabbix and get it setup the way you need it to, I promise you won't regret not paying for an off the shelf SaaS solution.

Vantagens:

It's open-source! What isn't to love about a high quality, highly configurable, high functioning IT management tool that is 100% free. Besides the fact that it's open-source and free, the Zabbix platform is incredibly configurable, meaning it's not one shoe fits all. It can be 100% customised to work for your specific needs in your unique business/IT setup.

Desvantagens:

The only thing I would really like, is an officially supported Zabbix mobile app. Although some awesome developer out there has done one themselves, which I've used in the past, one that was properly supported and integrated securely with Zabbix itself would be amazing as someone in IT on the go.

Difficult, but funcional

Vantagens:

It makes it easy to track machine health, and you can integrate with software like Pagerduty to warn of incidents. It saves you the trouble of scanning a screen and an action because so much you can automate

Desvantagens:

It is difficult to use and configure, you need to study the tool hard to get a good potential for use of it. The courses are kind of expensive too

Zabbix is the best monitoring tool

Comentários: I am currently using the 6.X version (i previously used the 4.X and the 5.X ones). And I must say Zabbix is a very good product for keeping monitored your equipment, you should try it.
You can monitor software and hardware metrics via agent, snmp or ipmi. You can download a lot of templates to expand the range of items that can give you data or create by yourself (and so you can have triggers to alert you when values are not what they should be).
You can create your own dashboards and choose what to display.
Remember to allow traffic for TCP ports 10050-10051 as they used by Zabbix Agent, UDP ports 161-162 for SNMP and 623 for IPMI. The file agent.conf (on windows or linux machines) should be configured to match the Zabbix server IP address and in case of active agent, the exact name on the host.
Zabbix can collect data of any kind, from a server you can have of course disks space values, but also you can be alerted if a windows event took place, in this case you have to use the zabbix agent active and create items and triggers.
There is a lot of documentation on internet, so in case of need you will easily find your answers.

Zabbix is the best choice for monitoring devices

Comentários: Zabbix helps me to keep an eye on what's happening on my devices. Thanks to Graph and Dashboards I have always "the situation under control". Updates are frequent (I am using the 6.X version).
Among the monitoring programs I used I think it's the best, above all, stable and customizable.

Vantagens:

Zabbix can monitor a lot of devices, using agents (linux or windows), snmp, ipmi and alerts you when any value is out of normal ranges. A trigger will appear on dashboard and you can also be notified via email or via telegram for example. Zabbix server must be installed on linux machine. There are a lot of websites that explain how to install it. You will find a lot of information or support in case of need. You can import and create you own templates and create items and triggers to suit your needs. Agent can be passive (Zabbix server "calls" the host) or active (the host calls Zabbix server) if you need to monitor e.g. windows log events.

Desvantagens:

You need to know a little bit of Linux in order to install and update Zabbix Server and some programming language to create items and triggers

Zabbix monitoring

Comentários: It has been a daily use tool for years in my work. It allows me to see the status of multiple servers and applications at a glance.

Vantagens:

Order in the program and number of options. Templates that cover dozens of use cases.

Desvantagens:

The database must be maintained periodically

Great and Easy Monitoring

Vantagens:

Super easyy but very customisable dashboards, wich can be shared very easily amongst Teammembers

Desvantagens:

Probably the Learning-Curve with setting up Dashboards. I am missing some Tutorials, but thats stuff Third Partys uploaded to Youtube

Zabbix a useful and easy to use tool

Comentários: We quickly required a tool that would allow us to monitor network devices at the Latam level, we used a demo and it was excellent, so we decided to purchase it.

Vantagens:

The tool has a very simple and intuitive handling so it is not complicated to implement or operate it

Desvantagens:

many people use it as a free tool and have generated a bad reputation but in reality there is Zabbix Licensed that has many more functionalities

A must for monitoring services

Comentários: Zabbix takes time to set up and learn, but it's worth it. Once set up, it will monitor, alert you, and perform actions to ensure your services are up and running. It's great!

Vantagens:

Zabbix is open-source, and you can use it for free. So there's no excuse not to use it. It's very comprehensive so you can do almost any type of monitoring. We monitor various services, such as Nginx, MariaDB, etc. Plus, we can set up custom monitoring to keep an eye on things that are unique to our needs. Zabbix can also perform actions/commands, so you can set up a monitoring and response system to ensure your services are up and running.

Desvantagens:

Zabbiz is feature-rich, but that comes with a steep learning curve. It's not bad if you know what you're doing, but it can be a bit of a challenge for beginners.

While it is true that the dashboard and user interface are very intuitive, the tool lacks some features that could facilitate work when creating reports and statistics; the option to export traffic graphs with image format is not available, and even export statistical data in plain text format for reporting.

Although I like all the features but Zabbix 5.0 is more stable than others.

Real Time Monitoring with Zabbix

Comentários: Really helpful in Dev-ops provides all inbuilt templates need to some changes in templates and apply in hosts production environment.

Vantagens:

Graph feature is awesome to share the actual incident duration with clients.

Desvantagens:

Need to give auto remove notification of last two months.

My experience with Zabbix

Vantagens:

I like the flexibility and ease-of-use of Zabbix, an open-source monitoring and alerting system. It's highly customizable, enabling organizations to adapt their monitoring and alerting systems to their unique requirements. Additionally, it's simple to set up and use, even for non-technical users, making it easy for them to manage their monitoring systems.

Desvantagens:

I have no negative feedback to give about this tool, as it satisfies all our requirements.

Very good Tool to monitor almost everything everything in one place

Comentários: Easy Installation Implementation takes time. Adapting it to your environment and customizing it also requires some time, but in the end, it's something that's going to help save you from checking device by device. My experience has been very good, I have used many monitoring tools that have also been good but this is the one that has convinced me the most. It requires time for implementation but it is understood that it is a free tool.

Vantagens:

I implemented the appliance with Ubuntu and if you follow the manual the installation is simple. A variety of monitoring resources can be added and triggers can be customized according to your needs. The dashboard gives you a very wide view of all the computer resources and gives you the possibility to prioritize in a more efficient way. You can create your own maps, review detailed graphs of resources, create macros and view the online information of all devices. In general, it is a very useful tool.

Desvantagens:

It takes patience and time to adjust the triggers so that it only shows you the problems that really exist in the infrastructure but once you adapt it to your needs becomes an ally to be aware of the resources and be able to react in time. When a problem arises with the tool, there aren't many forums and it requires you to invest time in finding the solution. In almost a year and a half that I have using the tool I have only had the monitoring stopped for a few hours because the service stopped, I found the cause looking in the forums and I could solve the problem.

Comentários: I consider this platform to fulfill all business needs as this is open-source for commercial and noncommercial use. Based on it, we can personalize what we want to monitor, network, servers, clouds, etc, so far the software display all alerts if something is not working properly and also this platform has different templates to triggers the alerts you need.

Vantagens:

the way how we can customize the software according to the company needs if you feel confident, this platform has the option to create your templates such as macros, discovery rules, triggers, etc, in my point of view this software is pretty useful to monitor networks, workstation servers, etc. if something got wrong we can get the alert in real-time.

Desvantagens:

in my personal experience, we support a university that has around 180 access points, unfortunately, it was pretty hard to find a tutorial related to the IPsec tunnel and Zabbix connection.

Scalability and easy to implement

Comentários: The benefits are several from my point of view, you can download a free version and make the configuration you need. For entrepreneurs and SMEs is a good option. If you want to monitor a very large network or several networks you can also do it, that is, it adapts to what your company needs.

Vantagens:

installing and implementing zabbix is very easy, with a minimum of knowledge you can do it. We use zabbix to monitor cellular networks and servers, so far it has been very stable.

Desvantagens:

Its free version has very few users, this limited us considerably when making the configuration for the amount of equipment we want to use in test environment. In Venezuela it was very difficult to hire a representative for support.

A useful tool for monitoring infrastructure if costs need to be kept to a minimum

Vantagens:

Easy to install agent which can be installed on 100's of client servers. The zabbix agent has low memory usage, so it can be installed on low spec web servers. The ability to create custom metrics and setup different triggers and notifications is great.

Desvantagens:

Ease of use isn't great and it takes a long period of adoption to get your head around how items, triggers and notifications work. The error messages you receive aren't particularly user friendly and are more suited to developers rather than operations teams. Housekeeping doesn't stop us ending up with huge database tables in Zabbix.

Great for free and extremely powerful

Comentários: So to start off, it's tricky to complete the initial setup.
Once setup, great for cloud monitoring and data logging. There's 100s of pre-built sets of monitoring for linux and windows.
We use this to monitor 100+ individual SQL instances and 8+ Windows cloud servers.

Pretty simple installation, initial configuration and deployment of monitoring agents quite fast and efficient

Desvantagens:

Superior Infrastructure Monitoring

Comentários: Zabbix allows me to provide better service up-time and stay ahead of any encroaching issues through my entire multi-cloud infrastructure.

Vantagens:

Zabbix is very flexible and can support just about any monitoring scenario. I have been using it since version 1.8 and it has helped me be proactive in solving issues before they arise. It is the single most useful piece of software I use day in and day out.

Desvantagens:

The learning curve can be a bit steep for new users. Especially those lacking programming or linux skills. Grasping the concept of writing trigger expressions can take a while; but they are very flexible and powerful.
