Iincredible app that transforms any event into a seamless and extraordinary experience!
Comentários: For the purposes we used the app - the whova app is amazing -alot of features
Vantagens:
Very nice app for offline and online events - you can find here everything you need - private accounts, chats, meetups, groups, announcements, icebrakers, etc. The app is full of features for any idea you might have.
Desvantagens:
That did not found out about the app earlier :)
Finding Birds of a Shared Feather.
Comentários: It was fun! I didn't physically connect with every member I interacted with on the app but the human meet-ups that came as a result of connection on Whova were high-quality and meaningful. Thats a pretty cool thing and honestly, I'm not sure that I would have known or met these quality connections had we not first established mutual interests and affinities on Whova. Good stuff!
Vantagens:
The "Attendees" portion of the app, specifically the "Browse Attendees by: RECOMMENDED" feature as it identifies and groups attendees along tags such as "town of origin", "professional associations", and especially "INTERESTS", which was a wonderfully pleasant surprise as I have pretty specific interests and hobbies that I learned were shared by other attendees. This made it VERY easy to connect as a common interest and icebreaker was already established between us. Great feature!
Desvantagens:
I guess the feature I liked least was that some actions like "surveys" yielded a lot of participation points that would push a participant "higher" on the "active community leaderboard" (which was another fun feature), while other activities, such as liking and commenting on posts and photos (which is definitely member activation) yielded no points toward those leaderboard point totals. I think that if you want to increase activation, with regard to leaderboard point totals, you might want to give at least a small amount of points for things like commenting and liking posts.

Beware of Use
Comentários: We will not be using this app again and I recommend that others don't use it either. The sales folks are very much about the upgrades and will nickel and dime you for every small add on. The help desk folks try to be helpful, but are up against the tremendous limitations of the system. This is overall a product that is engineered to make money rather than support the success of the users. We knew this going in and were happy to pay for some add ons, but others were not communicated at all at any point during the process much less in any help or FAQ documents.
Vantagens:
While there are some pros, the cons by far overshadow anything good about this app. I was excited to use Whova as I used it as an attendee for other events. However, from the admin side, things are not as pleasant.
Desvantagens:
There are many features that cannot be turned off. There are emails that go out to attendees without notice. Definitions vary from the proposal stage to the implementation stage: a speaker is also considered an attendee, although they may not attend and just need to be listed on the paper presentation. The most frequent response from their Help Desk begins with "Unfortunately..."
