> **Vantagens**: Several years back, I was looking for an online experience for students that would be engaging. Also, I was looking for a tool that would assist with classroom management and enhancing students' learning experience. This is where ClassCraft really shines. Especially when they first introduced Quests. Quests became a tool that students would utilize nearly every day in class.

> **Desvantagens**: I like how it integrates with other online classroom tools such as Google Classroom. Using Moodle, I wish it had the ability to integrate with this course management system.

> I started using ClassCraft when it was still a rather young program. As mentioned previously, I first started using it as a classroom management tool. I found it to be a great way for students to come into the classroom, get settled, and focus on what we were doing that day. I also wanted a tool that focused on students taking responsibility for their own actions and become peer mentors. The team approach provided a more collaborative learning environment in the classroom. When they launched Quests into the program it made the learning experience even more exciting and allowed students to be able to work at their own pace through assignments. As teams, they could work collaboratively to move forward in their quests. In 2019, they introduced storytelling to their lineup. Since my philosophy has always been, and I've done numerous conference presentations on the power of storytelling, that storytelling is a great method for students to learn it added to the ClassCraft experience. &#10;As I began to use ClassCraft, I had other teachers coming to me to ask about it. The next thing I knew I was working with several other teachers teaching them how to use ClassCraft in their classrooms. I also worked with them on setting up quests, which I must say they loved.

> **Vantagens**: I was looking for a new way to run my classroom and settled on gamification. Minecraft was all the rage, so a quick internet search led me to Classcraft. It seemed like a natural choice, so I decided to set up an account and do some testing. Already in my last unit of the year, I picked a few students to use who I knew would be more than happy to give feedback. I liked that it made things very interactive, that you could start the class with events, and use that as a warm-up activity, and that quizzes were like battles. It seemed like it would really speak to my 6th graders. The software was slick, and a great idea. Finally, the cost for the full version of the product is very reasonable.

> **Desvantagens**: While I thought that Classcraft would be just what I was looking for, the free version did not allow me to see the capabilities of the system. I was able to build an infrastructure, but could not set up events, or quests. Even though I was able to setup the students, some students who confirmed their "account" in the class, did not show in the class, and since I was not a paying user, customer support was not very helpful, mostly recommending that I upgrade to a paid account, because then they can assist with setup. I was also unable to get it to integrate well with my Google Drive setup (almost) required by the institution at the time. These things made it very difficult for me to test out the software to petition my department for the funds to upgrade which I would have done, had I been confident that I was going to utilize it enough to justify the money, which was reasonable for the full version product.

Stories can be imported and customized, or created from scratch. The experience/gold points system keeps the kids on their toes as they want to do the right thing in order to improve their character.

> **Vantagens**: I like so many features of this product that it's difficult to pick out just a few. Mostly, it is the fact that my pupils have never failed to be hooked by the gamification aspect of Classcraft. Even the most unmotivated students get a glint in their eye and end up modifying their behaviours thanks to Classcraft. The ability to edit and use your own positive and negative behaviours is great. The random student picker - Wheel of Destiny - is great. Random fun events (also editable) is a winner with the pupils. Parent participation is welcomed.  It's cool graphics and avatars make this a hit with grade 6 and up as many other types of behaviour games seem to babyish.

> **Desvantagens**: I am currently using the Free version and would love to upgrade to the full version as it has so many amazing features. Unfortunately, accessing the full version outside of the US makes the monthly fee just too expensive for countries like mine with a high US dollar exchange rate.

> The engagement of my pupils with Classcraft has been a hit for a number of years now. My principal, fellow teachers and parents have all commented on how "into it" the pupils are. &#10;&#10;It's a teacher's best friend.
