Comentários: Gostei bastante da maneira que é apresentado os restaurantes. Anseio poder ter acesso a restaurantes locais no futuro.

Vantagens:

O que eu gostei nele é que apresenta os restaurantes com qualidade. As imagens, os detalhes, da vontade de visitar tudo, ir a todos os restaurantes, sem exagero, isso se dá, pela maneira apresentada no programa.

Desvantagens:

Ainda não tem restaurantes disponíveis no meu local de residência, o que me força a buscar em outros lugares informações sobre restaurantes.

Comentários: The software serves its purpose adequately, allowing customers to easily spot my restaurant's name on the list. It doesn't bring much joy or disappointment, but it is primarily intended for marketing purposes. The overall experience is moderate, with no significant highs or lows.

Vantagens:

The reservation software is commendable in terms of functionality and features. However, it may not be particularly accommodating in terms of pricing.

Desvantagens:

The cost of utilizing it is rather steep, especially considering its sole functionality of making reservations.

Comentários: It feels like it is a necessity for restaurants to have this platform in order to succeed and OpenTable takes full advantage of it by squeezing as much as they can with monthly fees as well as per person booking fees.

Vantagens:

Ease of use for both customers and restaurants. Dominates market share for booking reservations.

Desvantagens:

Very expensive with variable cost depending on bookings from OpenTable platform versus the restaurants own booking networks. Huge market control makes it almost impossible to succeed as a restaurant if you are not using them. No clear or transparent way to accurately sort what reservations were made through OpenTable and what weren't when invoicing. There is no option to rate diners the same way as restaurants are reviewed so you can select the best customers and decline and the rest during busy times.

Vantagens:

The POS integration and that it is widely used by patrons as a go to reservation source.

Desvantagens:

Would like more customizable reporting features on the back end and shortcut features on the floorplan view for hosts. We used Yelp prior to switching to OpenTable and their user interface for hosts had more shortcut features that our hosts do miss.

Wouldn't use it if I didn't have to

Vantagens:

Some elements of the platform are intuitive and easy to use. Pacing controls work pretty well, but I don't like much else.

Desvantagens:

I spent years avoiding using OpenTable because I take issue with their pricing structure. In 2022 our brand mandated its use, so we made the switch. There are a handful of useful features but I have largely been unimpressed with it. I dislike that each device you use it on has different functionality -- I feel we should largely be able to do the same things on the mobile app that we can on an ipad or a PC. It makes things more cumbersome than they should be. I still take issue with their pricing structure as we operated our business for nearly 20 years using platforms that do not have a per-cover charge. And for the price we should have more robust messaging (SMS), better automated confirmation processes, and we should be able to take a credit card guarantee via our local website booking widget without having to pay the per-cover price (this is an issue with their API and I have not been given any timeline of a fix). Overall I'm largely unimpressed, just as I always expected to be.

Convenient and Reliable, with a Few Minor Glitches

Comentários: Overall, I’ve had a positive experience using OpenTable. It’s my go-to for making restaurant reservations, especially when I’m exploring new places. The convenience factor is high, and the app generally performs well. There are minor hiccups from time to time, but they’re not deal-breakers.

Vantagens:

OpenTable makes it incredibly easy to find and book reservations at a wide variety of restaurants, often with just a few clicks. The user interface is intuitive, and I appreciate the ability to read reviews and see real-time availability. It’s also convenient to manage reservations and make adjustments on the go.

Desvantagens:

While the platform is generally reliable, there have been occasions when I arrived at a restaurant only to find that the reservation hadn’t been properly communicated or confirmed on their end. Also, some of the lesser-known or smaller restaurants aren’t available on OpenTable, limiting options in certain areas.

OpenTable did more harm than good

Comentários: It was terrible. Our issues were never reserved which created massive problems for us

Vantagens:

It offered a reservation system that we wanted to use to manage seating.

Desvantagens:

It was never accurate. Our times didn’t correlate to the actual reservation times. Customers reservations were not populating on our side. It was a disaster and I would like to get the money wasted back

Useing Opentable since it started or almost

Comentários: I’m on both side, supplying Opentable to our customers and using it for my own reservations. It is an excellent product.

Vantagens:

Change in habits, from using paper and pencils to technology. Better organization.

Desvantagens:

After 20 years using it.. I think that the license is really high.

OpenTable for Work or Leisure

Comentários: I mostly use OpenTable for personal reservations (dates, meals with friends), but I also use it for work when our department or division has lunches or retreats at restaurants.

Vantagens:

All the details you need are there in the reservation once complete: day, time, location of table (if applicable), and any requests you might have if it's a special occasion.

Desvantagens:

If you make a mistake, you have to cancel the reservation in order to make a new one because the system will show the time you want as unavailable otherwise.

General Overview on OpenTable for Business Use

Vantagens:

Simple to use features - a lot of popular restaurants seem to have it as well. The best feature in the integration with the calendar you utilize, and the mobile accessibility.

Desvantagens:

There isn't a feature that is disappointing with OpenTable, but they should try to get contracted with more places to touch as many audiences as possible. There has been instances where I've seen it not available when traveling or with a particular merchant.

Easiest way to make a reservation

Vantagens:

I love that I don't have to call into a restaurant. Instead, I can make a reservation conveniently from my phone at any time and ensure that we are correctly in the restaurant's system. I can even leave notes for the owner.

Desvantagens:

There have been times where it doesn't allow for us to make a reservation but there is indeed capacity at the restaurant. I think this is more of an error on the restaurant's end.

Good for reservations, not the best selection

Comentários: Overall it does what it's supposed to do, but not overly impressed with the service.

Vantagens:

Really just use it to make restaurant reservations. The reservation will sync to my calendar and I can invite other attendees.

Desvantagens:

A lot of restaurants use Resy or other platforms, so the selection is sub-par. The menus/prices shown are usually out of date. Also you typically cannot book a large group on OpenTable

Comentários: Having an online presence through open table is key. Everyone uses this platform.

Vantagens:

Allowing guests to book online and opening up space for guests to book online is super helpful and helps bring in extra $$$.

Desvantagens:

I wish that the desktop and ipad version were the same. I wish you could block tables on the dekstop version like you do on the ipad.

I love the ease of making reservations and know I can depend on OpenTable for accuracy.

Comentários: The main problem solved is time. No one wants to use a phone to make a call more than they have to, and they certainly don't like to have to wait. OpenTable helps with making reservations quickly and effortlessly.

Vantagens:

OpenTable is very easy to use. While I'm a little computer savvy, I've no patience for sites that are glitchy or too complicated. I'm able to make my reservations easily, choosing the time and the number of people and can also, when necessary, make special requests. I make a lot of the reservations for family, friends and colleagues and because I know I can count on OpenTable, they know they can count on me. And best of all, it's quick; no more waiting on hold, no conversation over the loud noises of the restaurant. I also love the text / email reminders. This is a big help with a busy schedule; it's one less thing to keep track of.

Desvantagens:

I honestly can't think of anything that can be improved. Everything has worked smoothly thus far.

Open Table is Easy to Use

Comentários: My overall experience has been 10/10- would highly recommend OpenTable to others.

Vantagens:

I like that you can pick the times that are available and they also give you the next available date. If you can not book the one you want- they have suggestions for alternate restaurants.

Desvantagens:

There was nothing I didn't like about it- it truly has made booking reservations at restaurants way easier, and all in the same location (rather than going to reach restaurants website).

Convenient and easy restaurant reservation tool

Vantagens:

I love how easy it is to make a restaurant reservation with OpenTable and to modify it if needed. I also like the rewards program when you are able to earn points for dining reservations. The feature to make a reservation on someone else's behalf (for clients) is also super valuable!

Desvantagens:

OpenTable used to be the primary platform for restaurant reservations and now there are so many other platforms to keep track of. I wish all reservations qualified for points, as I find more and more do not offer points upon dining.
