Use LawPay For Quick Funds
Vantagens:
It is fast sending money from our clients cards to our operating account when paying invoices.
Desvantagens:
We did have one issue with Amex payment. A client paid $4,000 and the money was stuck in between for months..
Would choose it over & over again.
Comentários: The overall experience with LawPay has been great!
Vantagens:
I love the ease of utilizing it. I can set up & schedule payments for automatic processing & everything about it is just smooth sailing. From processing payments,to sending the financing option, to scheduling them.
Desvantagens:
That I cant see a list of the sent ClientCredit requests.
I left LawPay
Comentários: Customer Service was not good, and when I had questions about fees, they never responded. I eventually left LawPay for Gravity because I needed a simpler, more cost effective product. Gravity's customer service is much better.
Vantagens:
It was easy to use. It integrated with MyCase and Docketwise very well.
Desvantagens:
The monthly service fees, the rates, and the inconsistent withdrawal of fees
Easiest payment system to use
Comentários: Overall, a great experience and I have no complaints.
Vantagens:
Easy to use and navigate. We never experienced any issues with LawPay and it does integrate with Smokeball.
Desvantagens:
They don't offer the card swiper anymore and i wish they hadn't gotten rid of it so we could continue to use it with other devices in our office instead of entering payment manually.
*secure, seemless, Lawpay
Comentários: LawPay continues to be a valuable partner to all of us in the legal field.
Vantagens:
LawPay allows for easy, secure payment processing for our clients and seemlessly integrates with our case management program.
Desvantagens:
There are no downsides to choosing LawPay for your clients!
My experience with LawPay
Comentários: It has been a very helpful tool in making collections much faster and smoother for our firm. It is 100% better than using the old school credit card machines, and this gives our clients the ability to do this on their own and at their convenience, whether our firm is open or not.
Vantagens:
It is very quick and easy to take a payment from a client. It is very easy so send them a direct link to pay and easy to link to our website to make a payment and direct them there to complete the process.
Desvantagens:
Some clients complain about the limits of making echeck payments. It is a bit complicated how the payments are batched together from the credit card companies when they hit our bank, but I don't think LawPay can control that much, if at all.
Overall Love LawPay, 1 Fix
Comentários: Please help Farrar Law Firm get this 3% processing fee automatically added to all payments made through LawPay. Overall LawPay is wonderful.
Vantagens:
The convenience, the streamlined program allows us to quickly send invoices out for replenishment retainers, I can take payment during client meetings with ease. I'm able to access historical data with no problems. Overall every firm should offer LawPay.
Desvantagens:
My only criticism is that LawPay does not automatically add the 3% fee for Farrar Law Firm. I have personally utilized LawPay at multiple firms and this was included at those offices. It is currently up to the staff or the client to figure out what the 3% is and add it up, which has caused problems for us in the past when client's forget and simply pay the figure. Our firm has lost money having to forfeit that 3% because our client didn't know any better or we didn't have a chance to inform them prior to them making the payment.
The Best Payment Processor an Attorney Could Hope For
Comentários: Overall, LawPay is an excellent invoice and payment processor. They deposit funds into my accounts promptly and their partnership with Affirm offers an excellent option for payment plans should my clients want them. LawPay is the best option I've found in the payment processor industry.
Vantagens:
LawPay works specifically with attorneys in a way that anticipates and addresses issues unique to the practice of law. The invoices that are sent to clients are pleasant and enable the client to pay with very little friction on their end thereby ensuring prompt payments.
Desvantagens:
Scheduling payment plans is a bit cumbersome. I would prefer a more straightforward workflow to schedule payment plans.
Law Pay—I’ll give them credit.
Comentários: Great product. Makes taking credit cards a breeze, and I can have fees credited either to operating or trust account.
Vantagens:
Makes taking credit cards simple, and I get paid quickly.
Desvantagens:
Seems like the fees are high but I can’t say for certain. Also, billing statements hard to understand.
Love this product
Comentários: I have been using law pay for a few years now. I love the convenience of it, as my lawyer is 45 min from me. It’s really nice to not have to drive to go pay a bill and it’s nice I don’t get charged extra for paying online
Vantagens:
Convenience, easy to use, give me an invoice immediately of how much I paid for my records
Desvantagens:
It doesn’t save my payment information for the next time I use it
LawPay works great
Vantagens:
The convenience and the value. I looked into using Wells Fargo for merchant services and was shocked at how much they wanted ot charge me.
Desvantagens:
I wish the money would make it into my account faster. I have had a few snags because of delays between when I get notified a payment has been made and when the money actually hits my account.
One of the best merchants for law firms
Vantagens:
User friendly, secure and robust merchant processor. Love the trust accounting capabilties.
Desvantagens:
Nothing negative to say here. Love how they are constantly upgrading the platform and making it better.
Simple solution solved
Comentários: Amazing, no matter who I talk to they are assist in the same manner
Vantagens:
The platform is easy to use, and customer support is amazing (you actually talk with someone)
Desvantagens:
I have nothing bad to say. The platform is easy to use.
LawPay is highly recommended!
Comentários: I like LawPay. It's convenient and couples well with MyCase., law firm management software.
Vantagens:
Easy to set-up and use. Quick Invoice is handy. Report function allows me to review my activities.
Desvantagens:
It takes 3-4 days for money to appear on my bank account. Should be almost automatic.
Review Lawpay
Vantagens:
That it is used for billing is user friendly.
Desvantagens:
some of your customer reps don't know some of the functions and give wrong info.
Getting Paid Faster
Comentários: My overall experience with LawPay has been
Vantagens:
LawPay makes it easier for clients to pay their bills online or through their mobile device. Bills are being paid quicker.
Desvantagens:
There is not much that I do not like about LawPay. The platform is satisfactory for the purposes of billing and collecting payments from clients.
Great product
Comentários: Very good.
Vantagens:
It works like it is supposed to. Makes collecting payments easy. Love that it integrates with MyCase and other case management software I have used over the years.
Desvantagens:
I cannot think of anything I would add to LAwPay to make it better. It has always functioned exactly the way I need it to.
It's like doing an online purchase.
Vantagens:
We find it very user friendly and having the receipt emailed to the client and to our office without having to wait is impressive.
Desvantagens:
We have yet to find what we don't like about it.
A good option for law firms, but there is room for improvement
Comentários: The experience has been good, but it could be improved by providing additional features and integrations offered by most non-legal focused payment solutions.
Vantagens:
It was fairly easy to set up an account, after filling out the necessary paperwork. The fees are decent. Allows for easy compliance with trust accounting rules. When support was required, I found LawPay to be responsive and easy to deal with.
Desvantagens:
When comparing LawPay with something like Stripe, it's clear that LawPay was built for lawyers. It has all of the features a lawyer would expect. Unfortunately, it's missing many of the features a regular business would expect, like extensive integrations through an API. This makes LawPay much less flexible than non-legal specific options. For example, if you want to integrate with things like Calendly, Acuity Scheduling, Airtable, etc., you will need to use something else. There is no Zapier or Integromat integration, which is becoming more important these days. The reports are alright, but the interface is not as intuitive as I would like.
Perfect solution for credit card billing for lawyers
Comentários: Overall my experience with LawPay has been great.
Vantagens:
LawPay is very easy to use, I always just use the QuickBill feature which allows me to quickly email a bill to a client. I can resend the bill and edit it afterwards if needed. My law firm is fully digital, so LawPay is great, I never send out paper bills. It also is great for complying with ethical rules related to trust accounts and credit card billing - almost all of my credit card bills are processed for up front payments into trust.
Desvantagens:
They have not yet switched to paperless monthly statements, so those come in the mail. I'd prefer paperless. Also, if you process a payment and issue a refund the same day, it will simply show up as a single transaction for the sum of the two - this complicates accounting, for me, in QuickBooks, which cannot handle a deposit and a withdrawal from an account in a single transaction. The complication is that when I do reconciliation in QuickBooks my bank account always shows a transaction I have to remember to ignore because I had to record it as two transactions.
LawPay is so helpful!
Vantagens:
We love that LawPay allows our clients to make payments on their invoices with either a credit card or a bank account so easily, and that it also allows infringers to pay their settlement amounts easily without having to send a check or a wire through!
Desvantagens:
I wish that there was a way to allow all countries to post a payment on LawPay without having to go through customer service adding each specific country for us. Other then that, there is nothing else I dislike about LawPay.
A great asset for any law practice
Comentários: Overall a great resource for any practitioner--but especially a solo looking for an affordable and modern solution for merchant processing.
Vantagens:
The flexibility of use of the merchant processor by far is its best asset--from emailing invoices to clients for them to pay via a secure webpage to automated payments for payment plans. Also, the option of linking Lawpay to both operating and trust (IOLTA) accounts is great.
Desvantagens:
No option for charging credit/debit cards outside the United States--it is unfortunate that Lawpay has not yet created an option for practices that rely on clients that are foreign nationals or are temporarily abroad. The other more inconvenience more than anything else is that Lawpay's merchant fees are not accessible on the web portal, rather, you have to rely on monthly statements by mail (or check bank statements).
A nice service.
Comentários: Very convenient and easy to use. I get notified whenever a client runs a charge, and I can look on the billing software page, as well as the LawPage site, and see the status. It works well with Clio, our billing software, and even marks the invoice as paid once the charge is finalized.
Vantagens:
We had a problem with our credit card processor, which prompted us to switch. We use Clio for billing so LawPay was the obvious choice. IT IS SO NICE. First of all, since I'm working at home due to COVID, and use wifi, I did not have an internet source to plug into, which our former machine required. With LawPay, I can process credit card payments online and it goes directly into the firm's bank account, it's that easy. Plus, I can send invoices to our clients with a link they can use to run their own credit card charges to pay their invoice. Although there is training offered, it really took no training for me to start using it.
Desvantagens:
I really haven't used it for that long, so right now I'd say nothing!
Easy and Efficient
Comentários: Overall my experience has been outstanding. The ease of use and the custom service help is outstanding.
Vantagens:
The software is easy to use and thus saving time.
Desvantagens:
As of right now, there is nothing I do not like.

Love LawPay
Vantagens:
So easy to set up and start getting paid. Have noticed an uptick in receivables.
Desvantagens:
Nothing. Very happy. Of course, would always like the cost to a little lower.
