A subtle and professional way to collect debts

Vantagens:

CollectMax has the possibility to plan payment schedules and payment methods, this makes the process easier and increases compliance for our clients. This also manages transactions and every client detail you need. It is very easy to use and adapts highly to my needs and way of using. Reports can be slightly customized to my liking and are accurate as well. The product is very intuitive and advance.

Desvantagens:

Customer support is a problem with CollectMax, it is slower than what I intend it to be, especially during our first set-up.

Comentários: We do not use all of the features on CollectMax as we no longer have telephone collectors. But we do use the system extensively for drafting documents based on templates. Nothing I have seen can match the ease of document drafting in CollectMax. Writing checks and keeping track of thousands of expenditures for court costs would be impossible but for CM. WE have 254 counties in Texas and many courts in each county. We have over one thousand courts in our database; we can make notes on each court's unique requirements in the system.
Tracking activities and follow up queues could be made a bit easier with your own calendar rather than trying to incorporate Outlook. Our calendar needs to have room for lots of matters set at the same time such as several dozen cases set on a hearings docket in state court or a Lift Stay docket in Bankruptcy Court. Within that time slot, you should be able to sort on a particular field. A universal search through the entire calendar for a particular file is essential. A huge inducement to use CM is that you are constantly listening to your customers and making improvements/adaptations to improve, improve, improve. Keep up the good work.

Desvantagens:

You need a fully integrated calendar system that allows lots of hearings to be noted at a particular time and place. It needs to have a sort feature on any time block. And, very important, it must have a universal search feature so that I can find a particular file wherever it is in the calendar.

Comentários: I have utilized many different legal collection platforms but always come back to JST's CollectMax as my favorite. The reasons are that the program is the most user-friendly but the back-end functionality is flexible and advanced enough for a firm to make the program highly automated and efficient. With MaxPlans, Group Documents and other interfaces CollectMax could save a firm lots of money in staff salaries while keeping the clients happy in assuring compliance oversight. To further enhance the experience the support staff are patient, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about their product.

Emergency Service. I am disappointed with how long it sometimes takes for JST to engage customers when their system is down. Certainly an area of opportunity.

User-Friendly Software

Vantagens:

The software is very user-friendly and intuitive. The reporting can be slightly customized to your liking and can be run frequently for small sets of data. The merge documents are very easy to set up and the interfaces are usually easily navigated.

Desvantagens:

Customer support is slower than I would like. An issue can go on for weeks and require numerous emails. Clients can get upset waiting for issues to be resolved. The MaxExtract and MaxUpdater interfaces aren't as intuitive as other areas of CollectMax. The banking and account features are not developed to a point where you can maintain all of your records withing CollectMax. The company should do some research on basic financial reports that most companies like to run and the requirements of IOLTAs. It would be impossible to even provide basic banking reports required for IOLTAs.

Powerful Software with Plenty of Features!

Comentários: Our firm has been using CollectMax for more than 11 years, and I strongly recommend it for any firm with a collections aspect. The system is extremely capable, and with it, you can, reflect and manage your real-world trust banking, create flexible documents, print remittance checks with in-depth reporting, and document just about every detail of the legal collections process. There are many add-on modules that you can use to build the system out to cover as much ground as you like. The team at JST is always working on new features, and they take to heart the input they receive from their users. A word to the wise:
You will get from this system what you put in. As with any powerful piece of software, training and understanding are crucial! You will most likely be managing a real-world trust account with it, and you do not want to have to work on correcting mistakes accumulated in ignorance. I have found time and again that CollectMax facilitates good business practices, so be sure to lay a good foundation as you incorporate it into your firm.

The learning curve is rather steep, and some mistakes can be difficult to undo.

All-Inclusive Collections Software

Comentários: JST is by far the most usable software for collection law firms. I've seen other software (like CLS) and proprietary systems, which are just not as advanced. The one area that could be vastly improved is on the accounting side. The bank account reconciliation process is too time consuming and you cannot generate the reports that clients would want to see. Also, the invoicing features and reports could be more dynamic.

Comentários: In the collection industry, we often find ourselves worrying about non-fee generating activities. JST collectmax is a tool that simplifies the training needed for collectors, the data extraction tools allow for managers to get creative with certain account details when choosing which files to collect on and the compliance sections allow for you to properly share vital information with clients. You're able to upload images and voice calls directly to the file. A simple product that satisfies all of your business needs.

Updates are often, if you're not renting can be costly.

Good software system

Comentários: It is a good software system. Always incorporating new features. I really like that I can get a hold of the higher ups when I need too. Customer support is good at fixing issues. My only complaint is that it sometimes takes a tech a few hours to get back to you. Not everything is an emergency and needs immediate attention but it would be nice to have the option to request immediate assistance when needed.

Simple yet complete

This software has it all. I am able to fun my entire business through it and it is cost effective and any issues that may arise are attended to immediately.

They try to fit all possible situations into the software, so it is not state specific. You will not use all of the fields, but the ability to input vital information to be able to share with your clients is amazing.

Great software and easy to use once you have been trained!

Comentários: It makes my job easier when I can deposit money, write checks and reconcile the bank account with ease.

Vantagens:

Once I was properly trained, I have been able to use the product with ease. The accounting aspect to reconcile is really easy too.

Desvantagens:

If you enter a check from anyone and you might inadvertently enter it in the incorrect account, you cannot search for it unless it is in the account you entered it in to.

Great Product

Comentários: We have been using CollectMax for over 4 years and its a great Product. We use it for HOA collections and it allows our collectors to do their jobs with ease and cut down on simple mistakes. The best thing about CollectMax is the reliability, it rarely have issues and when it does, the customer support is outstanding!

**JST Makes Difficult Tasks Easy**

Comentários: Our law firm has been using JST since it was first launched. We have never considered switching software. JST is always improving their product and their support.

User Friendly. Compatible with Word.

Desvantagens:

Forms saved in Excel cannot be saved as a document.

CM Review - Moss Law Firm

Comentários: CM is very versatile and easy to use. MaxUpdater is one of my favorite features of CM. It reduces hours and hours of manual work.

Help from representative

Comentários: So far my experience with CollectMax has been great. Every question I have had has been able to be answered by the Help content or by a representative who is always willing to help me out when I need it. He is very patient with me and is extremely knowledgeable. He makes using this new software a lot easier.

It is fast. detailed, and has so many options, and the Help feature is very useful

Comentários: While there are a few features I would like to see included, Collectmax is a great program. It is expensive and the price was a turn off initially, but it is fairly intuitive and it works well. The layout, color scheme, etc. make it easy to work in for hours a day. It is annoying how it locks MSWord, a Preview option would be nice in the Form Creation.

Comentários: I have been using CollectMax for 12 years and have done so at multiple offices. JST has many of the same employees that I dealt with the first time I purchased the software. The only negative I can say is that I wish they could give me some of my "wishlist items" quicker. But the truth is, they are always providing beneficial updates to what is already a great product.

Comentários: The software has always been easy to use. Support staff has been there to answer questions when needed. Did the design of the software has been ahead of my needs. The designers have anticipated what I needed and supplied it. When I needed specialized software the developer spent the time to make sure that the software met my needs.
