Clear choice for our non-profit animal sanctuary and spay/neuter clinics

Comentários: The implementation team was stellar in helping us switch from Avimark to ezyVet. The conversion team did an outstanding job with almost no involvement from us. All data was converted accurately. Again, because we are not the 'normal' type of customer for ezyVet, our implementation manager needed to find ways to handle many unique things that we required that would not be a requirement for a regular vet clinic. He was almost always able to come up with a great solution. We were very pleased. The support team is very responsive and very knowledgeable. Their ticketing system works well for our staff to input their question or concern and get the direction they need. Turnaround is good.

Vantagens:

We are a non-profit animal sanctuary and the majority of our medical services are provided to the approximately 1700 animals we have at the sanctuary at any given time. They are a wide variety of species and their services run the gamut of simple shelter medicine (vaccines, spay/neuter, simple meds) to very complex services (surgeries, hydrotherapy, alternative medicine, wildlife rehabilitation, etc.). We needed a solution flexible to handle all of these variations. ezyVet offered full functionality to manage care for all of our types of animals and types of customers, and was able to successfully report by these breakouts. We also rolled out ezyVet to our spay/neuter clinic which serves our animals, non-profits and public customers. The key things we were looking for when we selected ezyVet were: > System stability > System accessible from anywhere (cloud based) > Able to handle unique pricing of services for our animals, employees, non-profits, and public customers; pricing model also varied by type of product/service > Able to report expenses and revenue by categories of our animals, employees, non-profits and public customers > Able to use same software for both types of clinics > Incorporates whiteboard (integrated with SmartFlow) > Seamless integration with our lab, x-ray and ultrasound equipment and vendors > Significant paperless functionality > Management of clinic inventory > All data available via API ezyVet met all of our criteria.

Desvantagens:

Since we are a non-profit, the standard reporting in ezyVet does not provide most of what we are looking for. We are pursuing bringing the data into our data warehouse via the API so we can create our own reports. Also, the learning curve was quite steep. ezyVet is not easy to learn for the less tech savvy staff. However, once they learned it, it has been fairly easy to use. We have used the client portal at our spay/neuter clinic. Because of our unique clientele of shelters and rescues having many animals per client, we have experienced problems with using the portal for viewing records but it has worked well for scheduling appointments. We are setting up the client portal for internal use at the sanctuary for scheduling appointments and getting answers to medical questions. We have experienced some limitations in the functionality to set up questions and answers.

Ezyvet is the leader of the pack

Vantagens:

Cloud based software is the newest tool that makes each work station its own vet practice, can see your whole hospital in a few clicks

Desvantagens:

We are 24 hours and at times have had issues connecting with support to resolve issues but I believe they are still growing this team and it has been avalible 95% of the time when needed.

A Waste of Money in More Ways Than One! NOT User Friendly! Support Is Not there!!

Comentários: Nightmare!! Implentars struggle with their own software, which left us hanging on many occasions while they tried to figure something out. I tried to have an automatic report delivered and ended up with over 8000 emails of the same report <--- That is not an exaggeration. EzyVet support had to disable the report totally because they too, couldn't stop their own software from reporting it. Then they had no answer as to why, or what happened. Once the 3 days of "Off-Site" implementation were done, (implementation was done via Zoom) we really were left to our own accord. Inventory has been the most enormous mess. The "Help" tab is useless! It's a word salad game! EzyVet has a communication breakdown with our in-house lab equipment. Something that we knew would have a learning curve and may drop us back on production for 30 days, has truly exceeded those thoughts and has hurt our bottom line.

Vantagens:

Not sure at this time what the pros are.

Desvantagens:

It's not user-friendly- Inventory is a bloody nightmare- too many steps that need to be taken for some uses, leaving many ways for errors to occur or charges to be missed.

Comentários: great! I see other receptionists complain about their systems, I have never been unhappy with ezyvet

Vantagens:

Super easy to use - very self explanatory & any questions are easily answered in help tab

Desvantagens:

colorway of tabs - I like how they used to be, more vibrant, dislike the muted colors on top & square tabs

Vantagens:

I like ezyvet more than other softwares I have used. It is easy to use and is constantly updating to make everything more efficient.

The only think I dislike about ezyvet is that it is not able to link to sister clinics that we have.

Vantagens:

Ease of record keeping, for an affordable price. It will change your workflow for the better.

Desvantagens:

Still improving in some areas, most of the times it's for the better. Getting requests in or bugs fixed is rather slow/cumbersome though.

EzyVet could be easier

Vantagens:

There are a few things that I like compared to our past system. There is an ease of use and as a Client Service Representative that is fantastic. Payment are also very easy. I love that I can email everything straight from the software versus having to download everything. Appointment confirmation is very easy to do as well.

Desvantagens:

On the veterinary assistant and CSR side, easy of use can be tough when it comes to medical records and where to look for certain things. I also do not like when I am trying to navigate out of a patient chart and I click on the schedule and it automatically prompts to make an appointment. This can be a very frustrating thing.

Love Ezyvet

I love how easy Ezyvet is to navigate. The tabs on the dash board get right to the point.

I wish that payments taken on Ezyvet wouldn't allocate themselves to all invoices.

Vantagens:

EzyVet has been a game changer for our practice. It has significantly reduced the amount of time that our doctors need to write medical records. It has helped us streamline our workflow. It is much better integrated in terms of record management thus reducing double entry.

Desvantagens:

The appointment scheduling could use a bit of upgrading, particularly to avoid double booking. Also, it would be nice to be able to see client/patient notes when scheduling from the calendar.

Comentários: Amazing. This company rocks and I hope they continue with there current model. This has the potential of being the bench mark software to compare all others.

Vantagens:

The customizability of the software in every aspect is amazing. You can get as creative or basic as you would like. I also like the autofill functions and snippets.

Desvantagens:

I would like to see a better online portal, possibly through an app. People LOVE apps and the ability to access their records, medications, appointments, etc. for their pets (possibly even with notifications/reminders)

Best software for automating your practice!

Comentários: Having the ability to manage client communication, recordkeeping, referring veterinarian communication, invoicing and practice managment all in an easy to use program has been critical to the function of my practice. Adding staff at some point may be an additional help but using ezyVet gives me the piece of mind and ability to run my business while offering the work/life balance that I need maintain my practice.

Vantagens:

The best part of ezyVet is how customizable it is to support your unique practice concerns. I am a solo practitioner and recently changed to a specialty practice specific to veterinary rehab, chiropractic, pain management and sports medicine. Given that my new pursuits do not require staffing to complete most of my visits, the use of ezyvet has allowed me to automate almost all of my front desk duties as well as administrative tasks such as practice accounting, end of day, marketing and client communication. My practice is also partly mobile, so the ability to be cloud based and take my system anywhere on any device has been critical to my function.

Desvantagens:

The onboarding was a little challenging to coordinate due to my specific schedule but most of it was self guided and reasonable to work through. The image annotations are not currently included in a medical history print out which would be a welcome update for my type of practice. The few glitches that I have encountered have been more to do with the specific task not being configured correctly and were quickly found and fixed through a support ticket.

The Ease of Ezyvet

Vantagens:

It has been an easy system to learn. There are multiple ways of getting things done. The way you can link things to work together helps in multiple ways.

It has a very high learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, everything can be found exactly where you'd expect it to be found!

Desvantagens:

Finding disabled invoices or notes is quite challenging (this may be something I just need to be taught)

Comentários: We use this program for scheduling, record storage, communication with client and rDVMs, and payment.

Vantagens:

I love that it allows for us being a referral clinic and includes the rDVM info as well as the client to be stored in association with the patient. I love that there is usually more than one way to achieve the same outcome - since everyone's intuitive is different this helps many different users to function efficiently.

Desvantagens:

I don't understand the billing set up, and its hard for me to find the right key words to search in the help section.

Vantagens:

Love all of the functions, have way more client and patient information at hand.

Desvantagens:

Splitting payments, and having multiple payment methods show up on invoices would be our biggest clinic complaint.

Highly Detailed, Poorly Organized

Comentários: It includes all the details needed for a veterinary file, but there are way too many tabs and locations to find each small piece of information. Simplicity would be the key to improvement.

Vantagens:

I like the green tab and the organization of the current visit. It is easy to find the diagnostic requests/medications due today. It is easy to input TPR and plan. The text message communication option is great.

Desvantagens:

I like least that I cannot easily see what a patient is due for (vaccines/bloodwork ect). I don’t like how we cannot add our own options to the TPR section. I would like to have an additional option for gums: tacky, pink & tacky, pale & tacky, pink & moist. There is no option for skin tenting under the TPR. Also, the dental charting is far too basic. I would like a chart with gingivitis, tartar and pocket depth selections for EACH tooth. This will help during dentistries. It would be great if we could see rads from the file as well. Patient alerts should include food allergy options. Also, as a tech I occasionally help the front desk with billing, but have not been able to do that recently since the financial part is too difficult for me to do last minute. It should be simplified and perhaps accessible from the green tab.
